  1. Hey!!! Sorry it took me so long to get back to you getting back to me... sounds like a bad joke lol. I'm still interested if you wanna chat sometime. I'm not working right now since I'm still recovering from shoulder surgery so what/when/how would be good for you?
  2. I'm up for it if you are. I've done reasonably well this week, a lot better than I have in the past few months. Maybe we can chat and figure out something for the both of us.
  3. Hi all, I'm back to Nerd Fitness after a long break. All of my success from my first stint is long gone and then some. I found myself just allowing myself to cheat a little bit, then a little bit more until it spiraled out of control. I don't like how I feel or look and it's time to start over. I would love to have a few ppl to hold me accountable during my journey. I'm going to start eating Paleo again because that worked extremely well and I really can't do a whole lot for working out right now because I had shoulder surgery a few weeks ago. If you want to help a brother out and keep him accountable please feel free to contact me. I can tell you I'm an Underpants Gnome through and through. Now's the time to act!!
  4. When it rains it pours, had a hemorrhoid removed yesterday, wasn't planning on that. Really sore so working out is a no for a while. Still doing good with the diet though.
  5. Well this pretty much turned out to be the week from hell. First my wife got a stomach virus that kept her in the bathroom for both ends, then my oldest got it, then my dad got life flighted to the hospital for bacterial meningitis, then saturday morning when I was going to see my dad I got the same virus. So needless to say I'm a little depressed because I didn't get to see my dad at all this weekend eventhough he is doing better. I have to work the rest of the week so I'm not going to be able to see him at all. My 75% paleo went out the window while I was sick because all I could eat was soup and all I could drink was water and ginger ale. The plus side is I'm pretty sure I lost like 5lbs. I'm sure some of it will come back but that's ok because I plan on coming back with vengence!!

  8. I looked around on that website and think I'm going to try some of the salads on there. Thanks for the feedback!! I can honestly say I haven't really worked out at all this week (tsk tsk) but my job is very physically demanding. Not saying that I'm not or shouldn't work out because my body is used to work (kind of). I'm still doing pretty good with the 75% paleo. Instead of english muffins tomorrow morning I think I'm gonna make some eggs with some peppers in it. After almost a week of 75% paleo my body is kind of hating me. More sore than usual and my energy is gone when I get home from work. Not sure I could ever do 100% but 75% is doable.
  9. My brother got a 5lb bag of gummy bears... I must resist... I would eat the whole bag in no time. Good luck and stay strong my friend!
  10. Ok, still in the process of this real role playing game so here's my points for my goals.... 1. Lose 12lbs. More would be great and is my real goal but no more than 2lbs a week is suggested so I'll start there I'm going to give this one 3 to consitution, 1 each to charisma and stamina 2. Run a 10min mile. Currently my fastest is 13:02. I don't run as much as I could but want to start again This one gets 3 to stamina and 2 to dexterity 3. Do 10 REAL pushups. Right now I'm lucky to get one. I can do a ton on my knees so I need to start doing real ones This one gets all 5 to strength Chime in if anybody thinks they should be otherwise
  11. For my update according to my scale yesterday I was 257lbs. have a pic of it that I will post later for proof. So in order to reach my goal I want to be at 245lbs (I haven't been that since highschool). I've been doing pretty good with the 75% Paleo goal. My breakfast is usually an english muffin with butter or cream cheese, lowfat milk or coffee(which I wish was paleo) and an apple or banana. My lunch is usually water and an apple or orange, and for dinner it's lean meats and veggies. I'm not a fan of raw veggies or I would have them for lunch. My lunch is only a half hour and I like to keep it simple so I can eat at my locker at work. If anyone has any ideas for raw veggies for lunch or other quick paleo lunch ideas I'd love to know.
  12. How are you going about getting stronger for your pull-ups? I don't have a pull up bar and probably couldn't do one if I wanted to right now but I'm curious
  13. Good luck on sleeping for 8hrs. I would have to be asleep by 9pm and with two young boys that a dream lol. Yoga sounds interesting and I think it's something I will try in the future.
  14. I think keeping track of weight for me is still realistic because I'm still over weight and can't imagine me lifting counter balancing eating healthier. I don't really have a specific plan but I did find a push-up challenge calender on pinterest (if you want to follow me i'm @ greenberet_sgt@hotmail.com) and a bunch of other workouts too. I also have a lot of motivational posts on there.
