  1. Thanks for you kind words First time I looked at your picture I somehow managed to miss the horses. The big dark branch totally makes them hard to spot. Definately my fault, very nice picture though! Lurking is fun but striking a nice conversation with strangers who I share interests with is waaay better May I ask about your picture, are those natural colors or is there some kind of filter on it? Something about the ice floes seems off to me. Or are those rocks? I can't tell.
  2. Thank you, you're so kind Yeah it's a challenge every time, but my iron will gets me through it. Also not going out all that much helps a lot! If I can in any way, I'd be glad to help you! I recalculated the money they'd pay me, and I'm definately asking for more, they're trying to get me to work below minimum wage. Which is a no-go for me. But yeah the experiance would be awesome. Especially since it's a really 'esteemed' company. I'm definately continuing to work out. My Benchpresses are weak-sauce at worst and meager at best, so 2 weeks (thats what the doc said) of focused upper body training would probably be really good for me. The surgery itself shouldn't be a problem but the doc said I'd need crutches for two weeks to give the joint time to recover.
  3. Well I'd just flip those idiots off in some way, and then continue on my run, just ignoreing any reaction. I usually don't hear people talking to me that way, but I can imagine taking it as a compliment, smile and continue running aswell. Also I really like the sign language reaction Quick question before I'm out, did you open the same thread twive intentionally? Or is the forum software bugging out hard?
  4. Thats nice! Next time I vacation in Croatia I'm definately gonna check out some of these awesome routes. Just a quick question: Is the forum software bugging out, or did you intend to open the same thread twice?
  5. You're Welcome! Great, if you like it, I'm definately gonna be around to talk about some of your pictures.
  6. Well over the disappointments of the last few book adaptations I saw in the theater I think I built a good level of tolerance. I guess I'll give it a shot once I can get a good deal for the DVD. I hardly remember the book though, so it's probably gonna be just fine for me to watch it. Half of the fun in going to the movies nowadays is trashing the movie afterwards with my friends anyway.
  7. I can't WAIT to get my fingers on some vibrams!
  8. Thanks for the warm welcome! I just love talking about photographs, if it isn't appreaciated I'll just lurk this thread an appreaciate the awesome pictures. Glad you like what I got to say though
  9. True on the perfect execution. But don't go too low on the weigth/repetitions ratio, anaerobic muscle performance is important.

    Greetings

Hey WaxKarate! I haven't seen you here before, so let me just say Welcome to the Rebellion! I hope you make great progress towards increased flexibility
  11. Just hold it as long as you can. Second set shouldn't be necessary if you pushed yourself hard enough. The longest I've heard about here was 10 minutes by Loren Wade, I think
  12. Hi shelvis2! Nice of you to check back in here. Hows your Paleo diet going? Staying connected to the rebellion doesn't seem to be going too good right now. Maybe you could just try making a post per day? Doesn't matter where or about what
  13. Doing great so far! I'm excited to go to the gym again on Wednesday. How you doin' yourself?
  14. How nice of you. Thanks! Windmill definately gets my Vote for this. http://nerdfitnessrebellion.com/index.php?/topic/23363-official-team-velocity-photo-contest-thread/#entry392929'>Best picture
  15. So even though I sadly don't get to vote, I'd like to share my thoughts about some of these photos, as I'm a huge Photography nerd. Also I really love the Idea of taking pictures of walks. Sadly I can't quote the pictures I wanted to talk about. The Windmill Definately my favourite Picture from this thread thus far! I like it alot because it has a certain simplicity composition-wise. It's also executed very well, except for a little white clipping in the topleft corner. But thats really hard to avoid without a polarizer when photographing sky. The slightly more lit area just above the horizon really gives this picture it's soul. The frozen Lake This picture has a really nice motive. I'm just a sucker for frozen lakes I guess. This is in London? Wow I have a hard time believing that there is such a nice place in such a big city. You really got a nice shot there. The trees in the background seem a bit blurred, but I'm guessing that is the wind riffleing them. Quicker shutterspeed and this is easily number one
  16. That sounds great! I hope there'll be more people soon :/ Not that I wouldn't take a free win, but competition is exciting
  17. Can I vote while not having a photo in competition? I'd really love to.
  18. I don't know about supermans (I guess it's lieing on your stomach and keeping hands and feet off the ground, no?) but planks are usually held for as long as possible.
  19. I tried minecraft for a while, but somehow it didn't really captivate me in the same way a good RPG (Dragon Age, Planescape: Torment, Gothic) would have. Maybe it's just too 'blocky' for me. Lots of people I know play it rigorously though, they seem to be enjoying it alot!
  20. Hi Tinka It's awesome that you decided to take steps toward a healthier life. Welcome to the Rebellion! Paleo diet is great, it's helped me get way more energetic and less fat in a short time. I love it. Your goals seem great, I wish you the best of luck at accomplishing all of them.
  21. Hi honeysuckle Great that you decided to take steps into the direction of a healthier life! We all have to play the hands we're dealt, but that doesn't mean you cant become and assassin. Just remember to take one little step after another, and really stick to it. One day you'll scale buildings like Ezio. Well maybe not just like that, but you get my meaning.
  22. Challenge update hooray! #1: Went to the gym, did usual stuff. Managed 2 new PRs in Squats and Deadlift (+5kg from last week, now 55/60kg respectively) I'm massively pumped to go there again. I just love it #2: Went playing pool with some friends yesterday and only drank water. Weekend was good paleowise, not a single slipup since cake incident. #3: So I'm up to 3 sets of 8 Body Weight Rows this week, I think I'm gonna lower the bar on the smith machine one notch for Wds/Frd which should give me a little more of a challenge. Starting next Monday I'm probably going to assisted pullups. Either with the machine, or if I can find someone to spot me/an elastic band I might go that route. Probably the machine though. Just gotta figure out how the damn thing works. lifegoal: Had a jobinterview with a financial firm today. Their looking for someone to call their clients. Not ideal but I'm gonna take it. Sadly it's only 12hours/week, so not really a Job I can live off. Gonna keep searching even if I get it. They said they'll call me this week to tell me if I'm hired. All in all, I had a good time since my last update. All is well, Loving the 100% Paleo as well as Weightlifting. I just learned I'm gonna have a minor surgery on my knee (nothing dangerous no worries) which might make it hard to keep the 3times/week weightlifting thing. Doctor said I need to rest it for 2 weeks after. Maybe I can time it so this falls in between challenges Thanks for reading, I hope you have as good a day as I do (even if mine is insanely busy today)
  23. New day, new start. You can do it easiliy! Once your over that cold, I'm sure I'll be readin' lots of 7 in 7s from you again
  24. One little step after another can amount to a huge distance! It's okay to enjoy the holiday season! You don't gain weight between christmas and new year. Much Much more between new year and christmas. Just get back on track after you miss a step, you'll be alright
  25. Wait, do my regluar workouts not count towards the red leaves?
