  1. Oh the cubicle modern cages of mankind! I hope you succeed in starting your own business
  2. I see, sounds great then. Wouldn't it be possible to just, you know extend the legs of your existing table? Maybe a carpenter could make extension for your table legs? And failing that just longer legs that fit the table? Hydraulics does sound awesome though, but everythin techy is awesome to me.
  3. Dear me! It's made from butter, sadly that isn't paleo either. Thank you for the suggestion though. An acquantaince of mine once welded together some pipes for a homemade BBQ and did so withough wearing goggles for it. Lets just say the amazing BBQ was NOT worth the 2 weeks of not being able to see. Thankfully he didn't injure his eyes permanently.
  4. Hell yeah first row! Nothing better than being in the middle of a scrum. Rugby and the injuries man. I know noone that plays who hasn't had a least a semi-serious injury so far. Except for the newbies... Well you're only a real player once you start dripping sweat and blood in a game, that's what my coach always said to the ones who whined. Yeah I somedays (well once twice so far) struggle to get enough protein into my system after working out, but I just eat a couple extra eggs and chicken on that occasion.
  5. don't worry man, it's not your fault. Tolkien just knows his way 'round words.
  6. You're very welcome, we're all in this together right? Reading a lot baout those Standup desks lately. Are they really better for your posture? Also doesn't that get kinda exhausting after 6-8 hours just standing there?
  7. Yeah Tolkien sometimes just overdoes it with the descriptions. I had my trouble getting through LotR when Sam and Frodo went through the mountains in the fifth (I think) book. You know? Just before Gollum joins them. Sadly no. But I'm halfway through Brave new World now. Slight change of Topic: Tomorrow I visit my Grandma for her Birthday and I have no Idea how I am supposed to stick to my Paleo at a familiy dinner like that. I really don't want to offend anyone by being picky about the food. Maybe got some advice for me?
  8. Still sounds exactly what I am doing. Can you have fruits? I also read you can have fruit Juice with whole30 as long as its pure fruit juice. I usually just eat some meat (chicken and Pork mostly) as well as whole vegetables and some frozen ones, if I can fand a mix that fits paleo (currently I have Cabbage Broccoli and more Cabbage). So I feel your pain there.
  9. Your reading is still progressing awesome I see! If I may ask, how are your other challenge goals coming along?
  10. Challenge update #5 ad1: Been to the gym again, so far haven't missed a day. I LOVE IT there. I always go out with a huge smile thinking, man I really want to go to the gym. ad2: Still going strong Paleo 100%, haven't had a slipup since last wednesday ad3: Did 3 sets Bodyweightrows with Hands under the bar today. Estimaed incline of 45%, 9,8,6 Reps each, First to sets executed perfectly, third one was a little bit sloppy. Made progress toward a pullup! Lifegoal: Still 5 job applications pending.
  11. Keep going after your goals and good things will happen I always say. Always works
  12. Thank you! I plan on getting some more applications out on Thursday. I really need some Money. Nice of you to check in here. Can't talk about anyone else yet (your threads come right after this ^^) Dance with Dragons SOOO GOOOD! Well I'll probably take the first one out of financial necessity, but I'll keep searching until I can find something I enjoy. I've wasted too much time in dead end jobs already. Holy Guacaomle First Law is AMAZING. I espescially loved the Bloody Nine passages. But on the whole it's just such an amazing read. That Abercrombie guy just knows who to write for me to enjoy it to the max. There's not many books I don't enjoy from the beginning. But if I don't like it I just quit reading it (I usually get my books from the library)
  13. Hey there Jackie! Welcome to the Rebellion. You won't be able to win but theres nothing preventing you from taking the first step in the direction of a healthier life. Chasing your dreams is always worth it, even if it ends in total failure. You know that 'if everyone jumps off a bridge, do you jump too?' set phrase? Well while it holds true, sometimes what everyone says is true. So good that you made the call. Best of luck with that job!
  14. ahahaha this made me smile in real life. Seriously though, what part of the two towers made you cry?
  15. Well done going with the fruit. You definately should go after your dreamjob by the way. Not matter how uncomfortable quitting your old job makes you feel. Wheres the difference between Paleo and whole30? From the short glance I gave the whole30 deal nothing was imminent. Also why more strict? the way I interpret Paleo it's exactly the same. Also in my experience counting days makes them seem longer, which means the challenge gets harder. But whatever works for you I guess.
  16. I can't tell you all that much about body weight routines since I prefer weight lifting. Have you checked out the free bodyweight workouts on Steve's Blog?
  17. Hi Mr. Viking! Welcome to the rebellion. Great that you joined us finally!
  18. Hey! Welcome to the Rebellion. Great that you're taking steps in the right direction toward a healthier life. Your goals look good, third one might be a little unspecific. Just out of curiousity what is sharpen the saw? Good luck for your challenge
  19. Totally true. Don't know how I managed to miss those pictures
  20. Oops, sorry bout that. Already ended. Stay strong! You can get through it The talk about those things has already ended. I don't cound the days, I just enjoy every single one that comes along. Care to elaborate a bit on that last statement? I really don't get it
  21. Hellyeah! Firsttime challengers kikin some serious butt here
  22. Just keep your goal in mind and stick to your paleo goal If I can do it, so can you!
  23. I never liked brownies. Those are just way too sticky for me. One of the easier things to cut out for me
