  1. Yeah. Discovery is one of my favorite records to listen to, and the teases from the new Daft Punk album already sound great. I'm really looking forward to the Notorious BIG reissue for RSD, even though I'm not too much into hip-hop. I have 2 stores locally that do RSD, so it's sort of like christmas.
  2. Keep having good days! We're rooting for you.
  3. Glad to hear you're back. Now rest up and take care of yourself!
  4. This. I nominate Wolf as the guild's motivational speaker. I don't have words like Wolf does, but we're here to help! Also, I have no clue what Chicken schnitzel is, but it sounds super-fun to say!
  5. Thanks! I'm super-happy that I managed to break 2k without the soda. I used to drink multiple bottles of soda a day, and since i joined NF I'm down to only one or two soda a week. Thanks. Pretty much all through-out my 20's I hated the way my torso looked due to it. I always wore baggy clothes, etc to try to ignore it. Now that I'm more comfortable with it I actually wear clothes that fit, and it's awesome. Tracking my input has really helped me realize how much I had to focus on my calories in order to (hopefully) bulk.
  6. Today was a good day. GTG: Pull-up x4Hollow-Body Hold - 5 sec x4And I had 2219 Calories, granted 170 were from a can of soda, but I'm not going to beat myself up over it.
  7. Linda Hamilton is pretty great, but I'm still partial to Sigourney Weaver as Ripley.
  8. Today was pretty successful on the food front. I had ~1700 calories, which is closer to my 2000+ target, and a whole lot better than the 1300 on Monday. I normally don't have breakfast, but yesterday it was a bottle of OJ, and today it is OJ + Banana. (they sell them at work for 25 cents) According to MFP that's 320 calories. That feels like cheating. I remembered to GTG before work today, so maybe I'm getting into the 4x a day habit.
  9. Took some measurements. and a picture! I won't bore you with the full list, but the google spreadsheet is here: http://bit.ly/111pSKo The pic was taken in January, but I haven't really changed much (as I took 6 weeks off from doing anything fitness related) This is also step 1 of my secret goal: quit being self-conscious of my back ( or as my specialist's assistant called it, my deformity. English wasn't his first language ). No, I'm not standing like I'm being sassy, I have scoliosis. Also, added my MFP food diary to my sig
  10. First workout of the challenge! Warm-up: Jump Rope - 2 minutesLunges - 2x10Jumping Jacks - 85Foot Supported L-Sits (20s, 15s, 15s, 10s) - The middle 2 were with 1 leg up each.Shrimp Squats - 8x3Push-Ups - 8x3Body Weight Ring Row - 8x2, 5x1 Then through-out the day I've been GTG Pull-ups (4x1) and Hollow body Position (4x5sec) Stupid Ring Rows. I can always do 8 on the first set. I always tell myself "don't go to failure on the 2nd set", and today I got to 7 comfortably, and said "we can do 8", and as a result, was only able to hit 5 ( I really had to work for the 5th one ) on the last set. I like the GTG setup I have. It literally takes less than 30 seconds to do a pull-up then drop down and do a hollow-body hold. Time to go make dinner. My tracker said I'm only at 800 calories for the day so far, so I'll see what I can brew up. I wonder if I can put Peanut Butter in my pasta.
  11. Good luck tomorrow, we'll be thinking about you. I never would have thought of making sure they weigh what they're taking out of you. If you can, just have someone check-in post surgery, so we know it went well.
  12. Ah, the good ol' days. Now it's all big creatures with ridiculous effects. 10 years ago, if you'd told me that Thragtusk (http://bit.ly/14tJX2y) was a card, I'd have told you to shut your fool mouth. I really do miss playing with Dark Ritual.
  13. Apparently it's Blood Pressure check day at work. 113/72, with a resting heart rate of 80. I'm pretty happy with that.
  14. Ah, "Cold Sores" is what we call that. Glad you're having a "Hell Yes" day.
  15. Gah, this is going to sound like an infomercial. Sorry about that. For starters, I love Magic: The Gathering. I live in a small city in the middle of no-where, and we have a very small trading scene. http://pucatrade.com lets me trade cards online. It's awesome. I've slowly been assembling my cube via pucatrade, instead of through spending cold-hard cash. Anyway, it's great and they have an indie go-go for funding. http://igg.me/p/pucatrade-beyond-beta-trade-magic-the-gathering-cards-for-free/x/3020043 I love this website, and want them to succeed.
  16. Thank you very much Waldo. Those charts will be helpful. Also, either: You want to help everyone (both genders) and aren't talking just to me, or I completely sound like a lady over the internet and need to work on my typing diction as well as body strength Data, here I come!
  17. That is great news. Do we know if all of the rebellion delegation is accounted for?
  18. I also don't want to be a 135lb adult male and up somewhere between 140-150. 135 is one of those weird weights where it looks great on you the closer to 5-feet your height is, and looks less good the closer you get to 6-feet. At 6'1", I look rather sad. At this point, I'm not too worried about my body fat % before I start bulking, as I just want to bulk up. So this week is studying my eating habits and figuring out the best way to stuff my face full of win. Right now it appears to be PB+Honey. I love that stuff.
  19. You're leaving the Kingdom of Coffee for the Republic of Tea?! Booooooo! Of course, my wife keeps telling me that coffee isn't a water substitute, so maybe I'm too dedicated to it.
  20. Don't be too hard on yourself for the cider. One every now and then isn't going to kill your nutrition goals. Good job for day 1!
  21. Getting up that early is never easy for me. I used to have a job where I had to be there @ 0500. Every day was a fight to get up. Good job in getting it done for you though!
  22. I'm glad you're feeling better. You might mean your 'sinuses', just to the side of your nose, between it and your cheeks. You're English is really good, and I love that you use the word 'apothecary', which is something I never hear in the USA, only in RPGs.
  23. I second this. I just started using this and it makes it very easy. I also enjoy the bar-code scanner on the smartphone app.
  24. That's a good idea! Jerky is delicious. I tracked my calories yesterday, for what seemed to be a pretty normal day, and the grand total was 1366. WTF. So either that's a 'normal' day for me and completely explains why I never gain weight, or else I just chose a super-low calorie day to start tracking. Regardless, I'm notorious for skipping breakfast, so today I'm starting with a bottle of OJ (220 calories right there) and am being very thoughtful of what's going into my body today. I used to make breakfast at work, so I should start up that again. I forgot that I was doing GTG and only did 1 5-sec hold yesterday. I started off right, with 1 pull-up and a 5-sec hold this morning though.
  25. Heh. I can't afford to lose 20lbs. I'm trying to bulk. I've been ~135 my entire adult life. Now that I have a handy spreadsheet tracking calories / protein, I can try to figure out what I need to adjust to try to put on some weight. I'm shooting for 2500 calories, but that just seems like so much food.
