I had a really hard time giving up soda. I craved Diet pepsi for months. I gave in one day and bought a diet pepsi at a sporting event. It tasted awful. Funny thing is, I had a few more and I'm addicted again. I too have no soda as a goal. I substitute with plain black Iced tea. It has caffeine but not the other stuff. You are doing great avoiding fast food. Have you tried Julian Bakery Paleo bread. I didn't like it and it was expensive, but It helped me to quit bread.

Do you all yourself paleo snacks? Good luck with the 5k.

I'm looking forward to visiting the gym tonight.

Looks like you are giving up the Fast Food. I seem to do better when I preplan my meals and have lots of Paleo snacks. I have discovered some really good Paleo grainless bars. It's kinda like fast food. I also make my own because they can be pricey. Good Luck and Hope you feel better.

Today, I went with my son's class to a local baseball game. I was responsible for 4 energetic first graders. I basically walked up and down the stairs for restroom and water breaks. I also searched for kids when they were out of my sight. The walk to and from the ball park was nice. Regarding my goals, I will attempt push ups tonight. I am determined to make my 5 push up level up goal. I almost forgot that I replaced my bag lunch with a Steve's Paleo Krunch grainless granola bar. Woohoo!! I avoided soda and snacks from the ballpark.

First day and back in it. It felt good to be focused. I went to work with a prepared lunch and snacks. I went to the gym and completed 45 min of cardio. I almost walked out of the gym after my ab workout. LOL, then I remembered that I stated that I would incorporate 3 strength exercises. I counted abs as 1 exercise then completed two sets of arm exercises. Tomorrow I'm going to walk with my son's class to and from a field trip. I believe it equals just under 3 miles. I hope everyone else had a successful first day!!!

I am craving a healthier and better Me!! I have tried this challenge a couple of times. I was successful for my first challenge and not as successful for my second challenge. I would appreciate any support that you may have to offer or provide. My main focus is to improve my health and energy level. I will be 43 this summer and am looking forward to this challenge. I’ve lost 15 lbs overall following the Paleo Lifestyle. I would like to lose 10 more. For this challenge, I’m not going to focus on my weight but focus on my 4 goals. Following my goals will make me healthier, stronger and an energetic badass MOM. Goal 1 To eat only Paleo Approved Foods. I tend to cheat on the weekends. My goal is to complete 6 weeks of only Paleo Foods. To help me achieve this goal I will substitute with extra fruits when needed. I will also visit the Sunday Farmer’s Market to increase my veggies. I will also prepare my Paleo grainless granola. Sundays will be my prep week. Goal 2 Oh how I do not like working out!!! My hardest goal will be to commit to 3 days at the gym or some other form of movement. I will most likely use the elliptical machine, bike or treadmill. 30min 3X a week. I can do this. This will also include strength training. Complete 3 sets of strength training per workout. Goal 3 I have been saying that I am going to have a yard sale. My goal is to sort out items and clothing and have a yard sale within the next 6 weeks. It’s getting hot so the sooner the better. I’m going to give myself an out. If I choose not to have a yard sale then I will donate the items. Goal 4 It was very difficult for me to stop drinking soda. I craved Diet Pepsi for months. I have started drinking soda again. The next six weeks I will eliminate soda. I will substitute with water and tea. I still continue to drink coffee. I drink coffee with coconut milk. People used to always borrow my creamer, I never have that problem with coconut milk. I occasionally will have a latte from Starbucks. I noticed that I am missing a level up goal I always feel as if I can't run/jog...Jogging for 5 min will be my level up goal. I think I'll get a little funky with this and say that I will also try to build up to five push ups. I currently can't do one.

After several attempts, My grainless granola bars are share worthy! Everything is blooming here in Northern California. My allergies have tired me out. I now have over the counter meds, so I can get to the gym tomorrow. I have wobbly leg syndrome from yesterday's workout, it hurts to walk. I am enjoying my goal of play more with my son. When he asked me to play with him, I told him in a few Minutes, but then I remembered my goal. We played trains and kickball yesterday.

You mentioned that you are struggling with dairy, How so?

I continue to learn and it's good to review approved Paleo Foods. My above recipe is not Paleo approved. Green beans would be considered a Legume. LOL, The word bean should have been my first clue.

Since I don't try new recipe's, I've been changing up the old. I found a Garlic Olive Oil at Trader Joes. I used it for shrimp stir fry. I didn't have onions so I thought it would be kinda bland. I added bell peppers(orange & yellow), green beans, shrimp and tossed Cilantro at the end. It was quick and easy. It only needed to be served over rice. JK, but it was really Yummy and filling.

I really like your idea of completing 3 sets of 20 sec planks. I still feel intimidated at the gym.So, after my gym workout, I went home and made my son complete my plank workout. It was easy for him but we both had fun.

So I went to the gym, basketball game and B-day party today. I love the Paleo Kruch grainless granola bar, but each one costs 4 dollars. I have tried making my own version but haven't been satisfied. So I changed it up again and will consider this my new recipe. Thanks Aranona for the link. I will check it out.

Basketball game and Birthday party tomorrow. I must get to the gym tomorrow so that I meet my workout goal. I almost feel like my weekend is ruined if I don't get to sleep in on the weekend. IM trying to turn that thought around with Wow I get to workout early and start my day!

In order for me to meet my goals for this week, I will need to try a new recipe and get to the gym tomorrow. I tend to prepare the same meals and snacks everyday and not venture out. Thanks again for the link I have no reason not to meet this goal.
