  1. Heys, I've kinda been around, but I'm not joining another challenge as we had some news.... I'm pregnant, so no running about for me! I'm so pleased for your news! Have you set a date for a wedding yet? Be interested to hear whats traditional in weddings for you, around the world customs are so different!
  2. My Husband(!!!!) bought Back to The Future and ET on Blu-Ray just after we found out actually! Little while to wait, but a wonderful amusing gesture. He also bought a squidgy ball toy for new borns which is a model of the bond structure of buckminsterfullerene. (which he just informed me is also technically a truncated icosahedron). And I already got a Level 1 Human bib as well. So I think nerd citizenship might be assured already.
  3. Thank you all Food is a bit weird, I've been having not morning sickness, but all day general nausea and vomiting, even to the extent it wakes me at night, I get full really quick, then hungry again soon, so I'm having to do what I hate... and graze like a cow on things through the day. I've been taking all the vitamins and folic, eating right and now avoiding all the insane list of things to avoid (well maybe except soft fried eggs!) I'm due February 13th. I'd love to stick around with you guys if you'll all forgive an increasingly rounding Pookie in your midst (and seriously boobs... omg).
  4. Well, I'm here to say I won't be joining in another challenge right now. We have a little announcement to make: Had first scan today, 12 weeks, 4 days, everything looks right, right number of things present and correct. So yes, pre-empting all the people "so you are married, when are you having kids" by saying, February actually!! We do also have LOADS of photos (professional now) of wedding to show, there is an album I think to link to, so I'll find it! But, yeah, not joining a challenge for a while!
  5. So we did it! No professional photo's yet, but here is a photo of us after the ceremony out on the beach! All happily married and back from our honeymoon now.
  6. Ah, sorry about the interview, I hope the other things turn out better suited to you. I think summer got in the way of people a lot this challenge, holidays always seem to throw spanners (and hammers, wrenches and tongs) in the works. And seriously, the job situation had to be forefront of your mind so often its understandable this was a major thing to focus on. You are planning on the Whole30 for August yes? Big challenge!
  7. I'm glad you feel this was successful even though you felt you needed to adapt things, it shows you are learning and growing yourself! So well done on staying the course!
  8. You have done well identifying and working on the reasons that get in the way of your goals, thats a good thing to have learnt from the challenge, even if you are not entirely happy with the final scoring. You know the right thing.... thats better than being clueless and lost!! Enjoy your trip!
  9. Beach totally!! I'm so pleased for you! It's an epic ride, and so very worth it, our day was totally amazing, we did pretty much everything our way and we loved it and our guests did too.
  10. Camping story?? I've had to bow out of this challenge, but still about to catch up with people... so how are you?
  11. Thats a pretty epic commute to cycle! My fiancé would like to cycle to his, but where we live, in London, its not cycle friendly at ALL and I would hate for him to do it.
  12. I've fallen off my challenge too, I wrote in my thread I have had to step down, but I have also been keeping up with my daily quiet times to try and maintain some calm and routine. I'm hoping to get back in properly once our wedding and honeymoon are done.... so here's to the next challenge!! *hugs*
  13. I hate drying clothes indoors, so the sunny weather (which needs to go away before I wear a metric tonne of clothes at wedding) means I'm all caught up on washing side of things... just putting away needs doing! Though lots just got put strait into suitcases!
  14. Have fun! Coconut milk ice cream sounds like one of the most delicious things I can think of... do you make it or buy it?
  15. I've been bad at keeping up with people, how are you doing?
  16. Hey, cool stuff doing the big charity ride! well done! The fasting thing...if you are not seeing results, nor finding it a workable project, I dont see its a bad thing to stop trying it.
  17. *laughs* maybe we should, and while I don't want to excuse myself, I think I set myself up with too much having wedding and challenge this time around.
  18. Well, yeah, I haven't updated this in ages. I have had some health news which has had to cause me to re-asses my whole calorie intake, eating plans and actual food content for now. I think the huge gap in updates, and my total inability to commit to the rest of this means I need to bow out of this challenge, its just not happening and I don't need the guilt of not doing things or the stress of having to come update. I'll keep up with you guys on our team, in your threads, and join the next challenge along the line. Wedding is in 12 days, nearly everything is sorted now, few crafts to finish, packing stuff up. Had hair trial with bridesmaid at weekend. Got to decorate cake, and then pretty much all to do is set up the venue.
  19. Urgh, I've been so bad at keeping up at this challenge, sorry guys x
  20. Hey, super sorry for missing catching up on people x I just discovered how wonderful fried eggs are flipped upside down over cheese topped backed potato... we get some from our organic delivery box, usually just cook them really simple to appreciate the wonderful taste.
  21. Hey, super sorry for missing catching up on people x I love the little hat on the meatball *grins* How much have you been hearing back about the jobs you have been looking at?
  22. Your lunch salad sounds totally delicious, I think I shall have to get some avocados, they just annoy me, sitting there unripe when you have planned to eat them, then you have to change YOUR plans to suit the avocado's erratic ripening cycle!
  23. *grins* Skywalker, that comment is begging to be misconstrued....
  24. Well we will just have to settle for reading your thoughts on here, I'm damn sure I'm not up to learning Polish! Thats a shame about the pool, as it really is a perfect exercise.
