  1. Really? haha I thought I had pushed you over the edge with that lovely off center post you must be more tolerant than your namesake... Hahahaha I agree pictures are now necessary... Wolverine with neon pink shorts and braided leg hair flaming in streams behind him as he leaps manfully across a chasm to win the race... and these are (about 1 min in) Always happy to be of service
  2. ^^this!! Although I would be more inclined to just confront the guy myself... Im pretty sure you looked bada$$ enough to scare him away, what with your heavy dumbbell and all
  3. only 3 rope thwacks... hm not bad, not bad... now try double unders with a speed rope heheheh that'll show you what a mark a rope can leave (I usually look like I've been whipped when I get done with a practice session... well not so much now that I'm improving I guess)
  4. Hope everything is super swell and awesome still holding down the fort... * anxiously looking up and down the road for Sammie*
  5. I kinda thought you had said something about keeping it light and so I was thinking "whoa, that's LIGHT?" You'll get there!
  6. ugh to creepers ... I volunteer to come be a body guard for you I may not be big but I can look mean I agree with KB full ROM is important, even if you have to use more assistance to get it (they're always telling me "leave your ego at the door, this is about getting better") do some with a lighter band too like you are to increase strength, just don't neglect the ROM nice work on the presses!!
  7. lb or kg? (i'm assuming a barbell) That looks like a fun complex
  8. ehehehehe.... pink shorts and flaming legs... that's a interesting visual nah unless you have some SERIOUS hair (like braidable gorilla style) I can't imagine how you'd manage to catch it on fire. Plus most of you is wet and covered in mud by the time you reach the fire jumping And thanks Thanks ma'am!
  9. I'm with Croman. You are definitely capable physically of running any of those distances. But there is a head game when it comes to the long stuff. I've done a bit of running in the past. Did a half a few years ago, it was awesome fun and a cool experience! But now I find I get bored with the long distances. I don't like spending that much time when I can get the same endorphin rush from something shorter and more intense. I kinda have ADHD when it comes to working out though. I like switching things up and speaking of switching things... Looks like a good adjustment plan you've come up with you're always awesome anyway! Keep inspiring us to greatness!
  10. Cool crow pose photo!! and even more epic that you have BRICKS in your pack! I'm in awe
  11. Not too much excitement here... but consistency isn't about excitement really... it's about getting the work done well except I have added 2 to my record DU's its now 25 (as of this morning) it definitely shows when I get consistent work in on these. Pull-ups yep still about 3-4 before I have to drop off the bar. But i feel good about the amount of time i spent hanging from one this week (my hands/ callouses however have a different opinion about this) I got three consecutive Toes to bar again I'm getting the feel of how hard I need to swing to make them happen. (someday I'll be cool like Wolverine and get 50 of them ) The workout saturday at my gym was muscle ups and running (of which running is the only part I can do - substituted MU progressions 2:1) but I spent some time hanging from the rings (the ones suspended from the ceiling - that i have to jump to be able to grab). It doesn't scare me like it used to (yay for baby steps!) and I even got a few good kips! It was a very good feeling because someday I plan on being able to do these and now It doesn't feel like an impossible dream. I'm figuring out the balance between eating too much to lose fat and eating too little hindering my performance. Yesterday I went a lot too light on the carbs and I could sure feel it trying to push through my double unders this morning. ugh. But its a learning process and I'm getting better at listening to my body. Time to tackle week 3
  12. ahhh ok I wanna try them now... and btw your workouts look killer (but also they look like SO. much. fun. )
  13. THiS Such a good idea!! I'm totally stealing it I've missed you and here you were all the time... being awesome also Beautiful kitchen facelift!
  14. Fun it's always more fun to have someone to compete aga..... I mean someone to play with
  15. Happy birthday and happy mini vacation!
  16. All this talk about age and being old phooey It's just a number how old would you be if you didn't know how old you were? (although it came as quite a shock to me to realize I could easily have a child that's graduating high school... I decided I didn't care ) Also hats off to Mr De_Maas for grounding you glad you're better today!!
  17. WHEEE! Yay for PR's! so much fun to knock them outta the park also inverted burpees? is that where you start on your back and roll up into a handstand and then back down?
  18. Nicely done on the workout end of things those look intense (my favorite kind) And I'm with Mily and Chris... partial credit is better than no credit. Can't go back and do more but you can start today and do your best. THis reminds me of my nephew a couple weeks ago, we were running and as soon as it looked like he wasn't going to "win" he would just quit running, and never actually finish... Can't get anywhere in life with that mentality. Second place > last place > didn't finish > didn't start.
  19. I also usually caffeinate first thing... but sometimes (ie when I am running behind) I substitute a vitamin c drink ( I like the emergen-C packets) Im a much happier camper when I can have the caffeines first though
  20. how's it going?
  21. I did have a blast! to be honest that was my EXACT thought when i read about the fire obstacle online..."i'm gonna be the first person ever to fall in and get burned alive"... but then when I got there i was like "no WAY am I skipping this one" so I just did it. And it wasn't even that scary. Much to my surprise
  22. See I told you he'd find some way to up the ante Croman never disappoints.
