  1. You can do it! I've also struggled a bit on my goals too, but you can't let that stop you! Remember, doing something is better than nothing! Good Luck! "Life will knock you down. You can choose whether to get back up." "Every thought is a seed. If you plant crab apples, don't count on harvesting Golden Delicious." ~Bill Meyer
  2. You have some great goals and it sounds like they are going great! When it comes to productivity, I am horrible at it. It seems like you have taken some good steps because one thing that takes up my time is Youtube. When I watch one video, I have to watch the rests! You are doing a good job! Keep it going! Good luck!
  3. You have some great goals! I want to use swimming as one of the ways for me to exercise, but I guess I need to learn how to swim first haha. You are doing great! Keep it up! Good luck~
  4. I absolutely love the quote! Thanks for sharing! I'll surely remember that next time I have fear of doing something! We are surely in the right place! Treating life like a game, makes it much more interesting! If anyone is interested, there is an interesting article that I found about being a Paleo Vegetarian. I may try this in the future once I get the vegetarian thing down. http://www.nomeatathlete.com/paleo-vegetarian-8-weeks/
  5. Update time! So far I've been doing okay on my goals. The vegetarian thing seems harder for me this time around. I'll eat Vegetarian until dinner time it seems. During the day, I am on my own when it comes to food so I am usually good about staying vegetarian. At dinner time, my mom usually cooks something and it is usually not vegetarian, but when I walk in the kitchen and ...OH! That smells good!. So, I will probably need to remind my mom that I am going vegetarian again. The funny thing is last time I went Vegetarian, I did it on an instant. It was in February and it snowed a lot so school was closed, so I was like, "HEY! I know what will be fun! Become vegetarian!" I announced it to the whole family and did it for 9 months so looks like I'll need to take that approach again. Fun fact: I use to confuse the words Vegetarian and Veterinarian all the time haha. As for exercising, I have been doing the minimum 10 minute exercises to at least start to get into the routine. Mostly yoga and some of the nerdfitness exercises. So, good so far! Maybe next week I'll aim for 15 minutes! As far as the soda goal, that is actually much harder than I thought. I drink A LOT of soda and this challenge has made me realize this. I think changing only to the weekend is drastic, but I think I can do it! As far as the social thing goes, I really haven't gotten that far yet. I need to find a way for me to socialize. I have been driving more this week and I do have a GPS in my car now so I can't use the "I CAN'T DRIVE/I'LL GET LOST!!" excuse. So I should find some ways to practice socializing. One thing that I find hard about getting in contact with someone I haven't seen in a while is like that guilt type feeling I have about not keeping in contact with them. I always have these thoughts like "What if they don't want to talk to me anymore?", "What if blah blah etc etc. I'll surely do better next week.
  6. I really like your goals! I also have the problem of eating out too much because *insert excuse here*. The excuse for me is usually, I am too lazy, I don't know how to cook, and there is nothing to eat in the fridge. There all types of frozen and canned stuff in my house and all the recipes and tips you need online! Good luck with your challenge!
  7. To answer your first question, I use to be Vegetarian for a few months 2 years ago as one of my plans to help me lose weight. It worked quite well and I did lose around 15 lbs. I really loved being a Vegetarian. I started out wanting to be Vegetarian because of the health benefits. I know that you can still eat meat and be healthy, but being a Vegetarian just seemed right for me and my stomach agrees. So I want to slowly try and get back to that. Thank you for your support on the social anxiety part! It is really nice to know that there are plenty of other people of have struggled with it and have overcome it! I am sure it is going to be a long road and personally, it is scary thinking about it, but I'll do my best to overcome it. I will surely being following your challenge too! Yes, I agree where we've been is important because of the things we've learned and I can already tell that there is an awesome support group here. I feel like I've spent too much time focusing on what happened in the past so it is time for me to take those lessons and move on,
  8. LovelyDusk80 here! It is time for me to join the rebellion and lose some weight! Usually, I would talk about my past and what I've been through, but you guys don't care about that right? So, I am going to explain where I am going! I have an alter ego I am aiming for. Her name is Dusk. She is a human goddess, who is vegetarian, looks good, friendly, fun to be around, works hard, thinks positively, and knows how to take care of herself. She also loves swimming and martial arts! RL Stats Age: 19 Weight: 195 lbs. Height: 5 ft , 5 in Goal Weight: Looking Good! lbs. Info at the beginning of this challenge Race - A Nobody (from Kingdom Hearts) Class - Adventurer Current Stats STR - 2 DEX - 2 STA - 3 CON - 3 WIS - 3 CHA - 2 The Goals Diet/Fitness * Eat Vegetarian 3 days a week. CON + 3 STA + 1 * Workout for at least 10 minutes a day. STR + 3 Dex + 1 * Drink sodas only on weekends. CON + 2 Life * Make a friend/be more in contact with a potential friend. CHA + 3 WIS +2 So, I have a long ways to go if I want to become Dusk, but I am going to be doing it in small steps. Hopefully, that will get me into the rountine. I was inspired by this article. http://www.nerdfitness.com/blog/2013/01/06/how-to-fix-new-years-resolutions/ I think the goals itself are pretty self-explanatory, but I am going to clarify a few things. For the workout part of it, I think I am going to switch between Yoga and Body Weight routines. I will do some body weight excerises 3 times a week and do yoga in between. As far as the life goal goes, I am aiming to at least hangout with this new friend at least once, but the bare minimal for now is at least be in contact with a friend. I have some social anxiety issues, so this is actually a huge step for me! I should mention, that because of my social anxiety, I don't have much of a support group which is the main reason why I am here. I currently don't have anyone I am close to and my family isn't really much of a helpful support. So, let's all work together and support eachother~ Wish me luck!
