  1. 1) Going to see Pert Near Sandstone after my workout! (Not sure if this is a good idea) 2) Doing 3 days of CrossFit in a row... (Not sure if this is a good idea) 3) The ability to come up with the best ideas ever!
  2. Over in the Assassins Camp I found a Rebel who mentioned warming up with come club work, and seeing as I have wanted to give it a try.... This week is packed, but next week I'll build a club or two and start giving it some swings until I learn a few moves and report back.
  3. Absolutely! My work with metal also has my head and shoulders dropping forward, something I'm working on trying to correct and catch myself at. Now that I have started experimenting with overlay and inlay it is getting tougher though. I think ergonomics of the craft should be topic discussed more often.
  4. I keep a bag of almonds and sun flower kernels around for snacking, and if I eat more than 4-5 handfuls I just default to an actual meal. Good job with the goblet squat! Once you get that bar up and moving you are going to love and adding weight become addictive Keep at it!
  5. Goal #3 is the best!!! I have been very on top of this myself, and basically the only time I consume something that has High Fructose Corn Syrup is if it is part of a dish that is prepared when I eat out. It is crazy hard to eliminate entirely, but if you sub items that you know have it you are making great progress. If you know that drinks are a downfall, try to find something you enjoy that is made with real sugar
  6. Hi Draken, Good challenge so far! I am with you on the pull-ups. I started a mini challenge to grease the groove, doing one at random times a day for 10-15 reps. and going to recheck at the end of the challenge. I was struggling/could only get one at the beginning of the challenge, but today they somehow seemed a touch easier. Feel free to join if you'd like! Hope the MRE's don't mess with your goals!
  7. Great challenge Vector! I didn't know you worked with jewelry. Some good info between you and Waldo, notes taken. Is your club work the same as done in BodyTribe?
  8. Way to rock it Rooks! Good job on keeping up with no drinks. I gave up drinking more or less about 5 months ago, had a small handful of cheater days but when filling out my CrossFit form I selected "don't drink" so now I have all the motivation not to! That is a nice shoulder MWOD, I will have to give it a try
  9. Thanks Rooks! Today was pretty brutal, I started out the day with rolling sore muscle groups and my thighs are just crazy! No pain no gain. Also finally figured out that the second video that got me all upset was a spoof. Maybe I need to start working on a regiment to decrease my freakin gullibility... Looking forward to tomorrow! Have a full day of work, then a brutal CrossFit workout, immediately followed by going to see Pert Near!!! This week I'm subjecting myself to 3 days of CrossFit in a row. Will I survive? For his and her listening pleasure:
  10. 11 sets First 5 of the day were really freakin good! The rest were okay
  11. 1) weakness leaving my body. 2) Sticking to the goals and visions I set for myself and making the hard decisions needed. 3) William Elliot Whitmore
  12. I keep thinking that, or "I am going to lift 5lb. more than this chick next to me." and than she adds a 25lb. weight on each side! A humbling reminder that the best competition is competing against yourself
  13. I just started a GTG pull-up mini-challenge. Hopefully a couple others will pop up!
