  1. Okay, so I just think that video is freaking awesome. I so want to do that now. As for me, I usually get in the water, get my hair wet, fill my cap with water and then pull it over my head, but I start at the back and work my way forward. Usually works fairly well for me. Then I just go back and push any strays up into it. And I highly recommend a AudioFlood iPOD to go over it. Between that and a preworkout supplement, I could be in the pool for hours.
  2. So, it's going a hell of a lot better on the bike than I thought it would. I also seem to be doing fairly well on the walking/running portion of it. I have never really had a problem with the swimming portion of it. The biggest issue today is my ankle is feeling stiff and tight after the workout today. I think more water is in order. On the plus side, I went into my new job that I start next Monday to do paperwork and they are paying me $.50 more than they originally told me, so that makes me happy. This paleo thing really isn't bad except for the fact that I really still prefer creamer in my coffee over coconut milk. But other than that it is going well. Tomorrow will be a test since we will have cupcakes, muffins and punch for the graduation party at work. But I will do great.
  3. Well here it goes, I am about to embark on my first six week challenge. I think with the other changes that are going on in my life right now, it is time to actually commit to a challenge. My goals are as follows. 1. Complete the six week Triathlon training from http://www.trifuel.com/training/triathlon-training/triathlon-training-program-for-beginners#.Uav9oW_n-M8 (3 STA, 2 CON) 2. Follow whole30 for the six weeks (5 CON) 3. Weigh myself on 6/3 and don't step foot on the scale again until 7/14. This way I am not driven by the scale, but rather how I am feeling as a result of the lifestyle changes. (2 WIS) 4. Apply for college graduation. (3 WIS) My intention is to eventually work my way towards being a scout and participating in my first full Tri. But seeing as how I am starting this feat now, it looks like I won't be able to participate in my first organized one until next spring. But until I am able to do that, I am looking forward to starting on this road to better health as an adventurer. Cheers
  4. My boyfriend says that our club should be called the foot clan. HAHA
  5. Wow, sounds like we should all be in a club. I too broke my ankle back in 2008, but took well over a year to heal, I am participating in my first challenge, and also and attempting to do Paleo as part of my challenge. We should have our own club haha. Good luck to you both. I wish you the best in your recovery and in the challenge.
  6. So, it has been awhile since I have been on here, and since I have worked out. But I have reached that point, where I can take it no more. I am going to start this thing whether it is fun or not. The thing is, I know that it could be fun, if I make myself passionate about it, the problem is that I have not yet done that. I really want to get back into the paleo thing. I also just did part of my boyfriend's six week challenge with him and it actually felt really good. So for now, I am going to eat healthier until I get the junk out of my house, then starting next week it is full on paleo. The workouts start today. Let's do this!
  7. Thanks for being encouraging. So that means that you can't laugh at me when I am rolling around like a beached whale
  8. Yep, yesterday was a fail, but we went today, so it is all good. Got really irritated and frusterated with the workout today, but I didn't give up and still did some stuff. I still plan on doing a little more this evening. But hey, I went, and I did something, so today was a good day.
  9. Just finished training session #2 with my new trainer. Love him, he is funny and very very knowledgable. Today we worked on some shoulders and back. I came home to eat something and hang out, but then I am going to go back and finally hit the pool since I have yet to do it. BF and I were each others devils advocate yesterday, we ordered pizza, didnt work out and watched TV all day. Today started the day with some Amino Energy, and then a workout, now we are having steak and eggs, so we are actually sticking to the diet so far today. Then we will go hit the pool and then come home and make some sort of scrumptous paleo/low carb meal and hang out, getting ready for the work week. Man, I love having weekends off.
  10. That is super lame. Can you buy them in a box set? I know that I bought the first four in a box set for my Kindle. Kind of a pain in the rear sometimes, but it works, and I think I spent $15 for the first 4, which isnt too bad. I still need to buy A Dance with Dragons, but I refuse to buy it until I am done with A Feast for Crows.
  11. I haven't logged anything for a few days because I just simply havent been on my computer. I took Wednesday off because I worked and then babysat, so there was really no time to go to the gym. But I did go yesterday for the first day with my trainer, and so far, I think I am going to love him. He is really nice, outgoing and pretty funny, and it seems like we may have a few things in common. He had me work on core, which was fun and interesting. I was supposed to do core today, but since he forgot to leave the stuff that I needed out, I did 45 minutes of cardio. Sweat my balls off (ps, dont really have balls). But I burned about 400 calories and I feel way better now. Now I am going to enjoy a huge bowl of taco salad (homemade, so totally healthier) and watch some Being Human, makes for the perfect end to a work week. TGIF
  12. Agreed. That is freaking awesome!
  13. I made it to the gym again today. Yay me! Even though I had and still have a billion things to do, I decided that my health needs to be a priority, so I went. Now I am eating chicken curry my bf made for me tonight, and then I will move on to the other things that I need to do. Can't say I was bad on my eating today, seeing as how I am just now eating for the second time. Other than being tired and stressed, it's been a good day.
  14. So, I have to say that I am super excited that someone other than me crochet's here. I am 29 years old and I feel like a little old grandma because I love to crochet. Although I have no projects going at the moment, I love doing it, it is relaxing. My very first project was a blanket, I have since done more blankets, scarves, slippers, washclothes, etc. Msuroo, you can come to my house and build me a bookshelf like that if you ever get bored.
  15. I am also on Thorium Brotherhood. My main is a lvl 90 Enhancement Shaman--Binklebug. I also mainly just log on to do dailies and sometimes on the weekend Maxtrong and I log on to do some BG's with our lower level toons. But it is definately something that I Jones for if I haven't played awhile. I started almost 6 years ago during BC when Maxtrong got me to try it and I became hooked.
