  1. I'm so glad it's challenge time again!

  2. Great quest! I know you can do it! We're already friends on fitbit. I just got mine the first of July and I really like it. It's very motivating!
  3. Hi Tefin! Awesome quest! Self confidence is hard, but it really does help make a huge difference in life.
  4. My quest is to lose 100 lbs. I know that sounds terribly impossible, but what you might not know is that I've already lost 73 lbs. So I only have 27 more pounds to go. Realistically I know it's not possible to lose that much in 6 weeks either, but during the last challenge I did lose 8lbs., so I figure it's totally possible to lose 5-10 lbs. more would be great, but I'll be happy with that. To succeed in my quest I will: Complete one Zombies, run 5K training workout 3 or 4 times a week. Walk 20 minutes 3-4 days a week. Do a body weight workout twice every week. I will also continue to track my food on Loseit.com honestly. My life quest for this challenge is to work on my posture. I have let my posture go to crap lately and find myself slumping more and more. Slumping and slouching does not help me look like I've lost as much weight as I have. Plus, standing up straight helps promote self confidence and helps others take me more seriously. So, why is my quest to lose 100 lbs.? To prove to myself and others around me that it is possible to lose that much (and more) through diet and exercise alone. Weight loss surgery is not the only option for morbidly obese to lose weight. I'm not bashing weight loss surgery, though. It is a powerful tool, it's just not the tool for me. I've been losing weight since November of 2011. I was 343 lbs. I'm currently 270. I haven't cut anything out, I've simply become more mindful. Well, I say simply. There hasn't been anything simple about it. It's been so hard, but I take it day by day. Good Luck to all!
  5. I need the next challenge to start. Last week I lost my motivation to do anything but eat. This week I'm going to get my head screwed back on straight. I am not going to ruin all the hard work I did during this last challenge.
  6. I'm levelling up and continuing with the Adventurers!
  7. I'm loving my fitbit! http://www.fitbit.com/user/268754
  8. First of all I'm so proud of myself for finishing this challenge. I usually start strong, but crap out in the first few weeks when I do something like this. I've kept up with my running workouts, my bodyweight workouts, tracking my food honestly and my weekly blog posts. I did miss some of my running workouts and a couple of days of tracking my food, but I'm still counting it a sucess. Overall, I'm awarding myself a B+. This challenge has been a great thing for me. It really did help me get back on track. After a 6 month plateau, I have lost 8 lbs during this challenge.
  9. End of challenge report! First of all I'm so proud of myself for finishing this challenge. I usually start strong, but crap out in the first few weeks when I do something like this. 10. I got my Flex a week ago and I'm really liking it so far. It's comfortable, which is something that I did worry about. I love that it tracks sleep. It is definitely making me more aware of how much I move, or don't, throughout the day.
  11. As my therapist says, you can only continue to model good behavior. It sounds like that's what you're doing. How she chooses to react is all her. Any rudeness she displays is most likely her being stuck in her perception of the situation based on her emotions and feelings about herself. Keep up the good work!
  12. Last week!!! Today is my first week back at work after my birthday week. I think I managed to have a pretty good week even though I didn't have the structure I do at work. I managed not to eat everything in sight, I exercised (although I didn't do my ZR workouts because the track was rained out and I didn't have anywhere else to go), I did my bodyweight exercises, and I blogged. I did not do so great on logging my food at the end of the week. Boo! This is another week, though and I'm going to end the challenge strong! One good thing for the week is that I lost another 2 lbs, making my total loss 69 lbs. That makes 4 lbs in the past 3-4 weeks. I'm hopeful that this means that my 6 month plateau is over.
  13. Love yourself. It's not a bad thing and it will allow you to be so much more much so much earlier in life. Don't allow anyone to tell you you can't because they couldn't. Believe in the possibilities.
  14. Speaking for myself, having too much to do overwhelms me and keeps me from being motivated to get anything done other than goof off online. The thing that helps me focus and get things accomplished is to make myself a to do list. The to do list will have every little thing that I have to get done on it. Then I prioritize the list. Once that's taken care of I set goals and rewards. For example, for every two high priority items and three low priority items I get done I allow myself x number of minutes to goof off. I hope you're able to find something that works for you.
  15. Me too! This challenge has really helped me stay on track when I felt myself slipping. I haven't been perfect by any means, but it has helped me keep my motivation to keep going.
  16. Awesome!! Pretty good. Super busy, but staying on track for the most part.
  17. Finding clothes that now fit when they didn't in the past is the best thing ever! I haven't lost much weight in the past 6 months, but being able to wear the smaller sizes in my closet have kept me from losing hope. Congratulations!!
  18. How's everyone doing? I finally found the time to come visit.
  19. I thought of you this week! I got myself a fitbit flex for my birthday. So far I love it. It's very interesting. How are you doing?
  20. Great job getting back on track! How was your week this week?
  21. Staying on track when you're out of town is hard! Way to go getting back on track!
