  1. Awesome!I love trying new recipes! Thank you!!
  2. I know I've already said it, but I'm so excited to have each of you here. I truly feel having people to give you support is one of the most important things to achieving your weightloss/fitness goals. So far in this challenge, do you feel like you're making progress or are you in that place where it's still new and and it hasn't gotten difficult yet? Right now I'm still in the it's easy phase. I tend to start out like gangbusters and then slow down. Must. Not. Slow. Down...
  3. Congratulations on losing 15 lbs! You're going to meet those goals before you know it!
  4. Day 2 went well. I used it as a rest day, so I didn't log any activity. I logged all of my food for the day and made good choices. I haven't made any progress on #2 or #4 yet. Tomorrow will be my bodyweight exercise day and I'm going to work some more on my next blog post tonight. Day 3 is off to a good start! I've completed Week 1, Day 2 of my ZR app. Beginning to think that I should have evaluated the common sense of training for a 5k during summer in South Carolina a lot better before I started.
  5. Sure! Happy to have you! I really like Loseit. I use the app as well as the website so I never have an excuse other than pure laziness to not keep track of my food and activity. I am positive there are discrepacies, but I try to make sure I follow the information on the packaging more than anything else. If it's something that I don't have packaging for I tend to overcompensate and put more down so I'm kind of more covered. Here is my blog if anyone wants to read along. While I Breathe I Hope I think it's pretty work friendly, but it does have a few 4 letter words. I'm a huge fan of Loseit. I've been using it since November 2011 and have lost 65 lbs. When I use it like I should and log everything, I'm very sucessful. I was on Weight Watchers for about 5 years and lost 50 lbs. That was very discouraging for me, but it was my own fault. Weight watchers works well for a lot of people, but the points system didn't work well with the way my mind works. The number of points I had (around 32) seemed like so little and I felt so deprived all the time. I was constantly cheating. Counting calories works a lot better for me. Right now I am at about 1850 calories per day. In my mind that just sounds like so much more food than 32 points. I find that now, I'm eating a much more varied and nutritionally sound diet than I ever did on Weight Watchers.
  6. Hey! I'm reading book 2 of ASOIAF right now. Really good. Sometimes having easy goals are the perfect way to work up to more difficult goals. When you meet the easy goal it builds your confidence and motivation making it easier to set and meet harder goals.
  7. My knees are awful! I worry everytime I do squats or lunges. Making sure your form is correct does help.
  8. Way to go Addison! You made great progress!
  9. Way to go making it through day 2! You did a great job managing without your lunch. I have a really bad habit where if I do something like that I use it as an excuse to buy a lunch that's not as nutritionally sound because there's no possible way I could find something better. Yeah right.
  10. I just want to make doing the bodyweight exercises at least one day every week. If I can push it to 2 days a week- Bonusr points for me!
  11. Great goals! What is your plan for working toward accomplishing them?
  12. Hi, Rayne!! Those are great goals! I've always wanted to try Tai Chi.
  13. I admire your biking goal! I tried to get back on a bike about 5 years ago and on my first time out I wiped out and busted my knee pretty badly. 6 stitches later and 5 more years and I still haven't been courageous enough to try again.
  14. I love that you're doing this with your pup!! Good exercise and quality time together for both of you. Is it the jumping part of jumping jacks you can't do?
  15. Great goals! Maybe the next challenge I need to make read more one of my goals. I don't read anywhere near as much as I used to.
  16. Yay!!! People!!! I'm so excited to get to know all of you. Now...off to visit!
  17. I don't jump rope because I'm horribly uncoordinated and fear that I could do myself serious bodily harm. It sounds like you're off to a good start! Those forst few days are the worst with detoxing from sugar and caffeine, but stay strong! You can do it!!!
  18. I'm using it to train to be able to run a 5k. I just started. I like it so far. My day 1 was a success!
  19. Yay for not chickening out! Good luck!
  20. Good idea! What kind of strength training workout are you using?
  21. Great job not letting a potential setback ruin your day! It's so important to be able to do that!
  22. Looks like you're off to a pretty good start! Great drawing!
