  1. Da YAY!! Someone IRL to hold me accountable, now! =D
  2. I see that you logged in a few days ago! Re-join us...

  3. I feel pretty horrible about my weekend! My cigarette count went back up to 12. I never hit 9. But I'm going to be tackling it all over again this week, and I've got some new things to try, so let's kick ass!
  4. I haven't updated on here cause I fell off the bandwagon for my cigarettes--I'm back up to twelve a day. Luckily, Jacob called me out on G-Talk, so here I am, posting despite my guilt. Friday, October 28th Pushups: 2/2/2/1 Inverted Rows: None Cigarettes: 10 Saturday, October 29th I completely skipped the entire workout; no lunges or squats. Cigarettes: 10 Sunday, October 30th This was my rest day for workouts, and even though I didn't workout on Saturday, I still took this as a rest day. Cigarettes: 10 My dog locked me out of my house this day, and while I was waiting for my boyfriend to come home and let me in, there was a nice, full pack of cigarettes... =/ Monday, October 31st Pushups: 2/2/2/1 This wasn't any better than Friday's, but I'm hoping I'll see some improvement today. Inverted Rows: None. I talked to Jacob today, and I'm going to try something different for the inverted rows today, where I'm not taking as much of my bodyweight, to see if I can do the positive motion with less-incorrect form. Will let you know tomorrow how it goes. Tuesday, November 1st Squats: 5/3/3/5 Lunges: 5/5/5/5 Cigarettes: 12 I went up here, instead of down. I don't really know what to do, here. =/
  5. I'll see if I can get a coworker to take some pics of me doing it. I'm sure I could be explaining it way better than I am. It's like going from laying down to sitting up, using my arms to haul myself up to the sitting position in either the rows/chin position, using the desk. I don't know, I feel dumber the more I explain it, because it's so wimpy haha. In the meantime: Thursday, October 27th Squats: 1/1/3/1 Seriously, I didn't think my legs could handle this! I never stopped being sore from Tuesday's squats and lunges. Lunges: None. After the squats, my legs wouldn't hold my weight, even bent at ~45 degrees. Cigarettes: 11. I actually rationed them out poorly, and ended the night knitting furiously instead of smoking, because I had already had my last one. I need to pay more attention to the rationing. I followed Tom's advice and I only had the 11 cigarettes with me, but for some reason, in the morning 11 seemed like a lot, and by 9 last night, it was too little. BUT, I did get the satisfaction of not having to stand out in the rain while the temp plummeted late last night for that last cigarette; I had already had mine. School: Went to both my classes last night, and had done all my homework for both classes, too. So...yeah. Whee!
  6. Hahahahaha! I loled at work, reading that. Keep up the good work, chica! I think it's a fantastic idea that you already had your "indulgence" planned out, so you could relish it instead of wishing for something else. Great job!
  7. Yay, thanks everyone! I guess I'm more excited about the form than the number, because I know the number's going to climb either way, but I'll either be doing them well or not. That's what I was so happy about lol Wednesday, October 26th Pushups: 2/2/1/1 (But all while keeping perfect form ) *Inverted Rows: 1/1/4*/3* *The Chin-up Version of the Inverted Rows...whatever it was called: 1/4*/5*/5* Cigarettes: 11. My daily allotment was 12, but I wound up only hitting 11. I'm going to keep the schedule I had made, though, so my daily allotment today is 11, not 10. *Question for everyone: Doing the inverted rows and the chin-up thingies, I started pivoting at the hip, where I'm only picking up my upper body, and my lower body lays there like dead weight. It feels like I get more out of it than when I was positioning myself to just try to control the descent, but I also know I'm not able to work on doing it with correct form at all right now, because of where I'm pivoting. Is this a bad idea? I know I need to work on form, but I'm also trying to build up the strength to even be able to pull myself up one time, or else the form doesn't even matter. Any thoughts on this? The pivoting is definitely working the arms and everything, but I just worry that it's not the right way to go about it. Appreciate all the help, guys!
  8. Most definitely! Funny how The entire Squad is working on pushups! They're like the holy grail of the bodyweight exercise world! Haha get it, girl!
  9. 100% agree with Kate! That's the perfect attitude for this challenge, in light of Steve's post about failures Keep up the good work, and keep kicking butt on those pushups!
  10. Hahahahaha pure awesome, along with your thread title! I love the way you organized your goals and broke it all down. I kinda jumped in headfirst and figured it out from there haha. Good luck on the pushups next week! Someday we'll kill those pullups
  11. My first two sets today, I did 2 Real Pushups each!! This isn't me logging my #s or anything, but I just wanted to woot a teeny little bit. They were perfect, not wobbly or shallow or with my butt way up or anything. I worked on the form and breathing in particular, and I did two perfect pushups. Yay me!
  12. Badass! Keep up the good work, Army!
  13. Hahaha I'm doing this right now! =D
  14. @darkstar: Yeah, I was planning on alternating Upper and Lower body. I was figuring M/W/F for upper body since I'm at work for all of those days, and I'm relying on a desk I have at work for the inverted rows, and then T/H/Sat for the lower body, because I can do all of that at either work or home. Sundays were going to be a rest day for me. What do you think about it? I really have no idea what I'm doing here... As for the cigarette count, I really don't know...I didn't have any more of an exact plan than what I'd already listed: minus one per day, until I'm at zero and to just stay super-busy when I'm craving. I have a buttload of homework I can get caught up on, and I actually enjoy doing it and losing myself in it. I'm also knitting a couple of things and we rebought MW2 for the ps3 so I can have a game to play and occupy my mind. Do you have any suggestions?? I'd really appreciate any tips. @Tom: I love that idea! I'm going to keep this pack and just refill it every morning with the appropriate number of cigarettes first thing. I can leave the other pack at home while I'm not there, and make my bf be in charge of it when I am at home on the weekends, so I can't steal extras out of it. Great idea, thank you!! And last night I was trying to use my shadow lol. It didn't work very well, but I think I'll try it in front of the tv tomorrow night! I appreciate all the help, guys!
