  2. Onwards to Week 2! Off to a good start today with my morning lunges and a 5k walk. As per my usual habits, I've reached the point of my challenge where I have become overconfident and am looking for more to do (I predicted this when I drew up my achievements list). I've come across the 100 pushups program, and have decided to partake. I started week 1 yesterday, and will be doing the program for 3 of my 5-minute exercises each week going forward. If anyone else is keen to have a go, here's the site: https://hundredpushups.com/week1.html Goal 1: Exercise Every Day Week 1 Streak : 7/7 days Complete! Week 2 Streak: 1/1 Goal 2: Runs Twice per week Week 1: 2 - Complete! Week 2: 0 Goal 3: Starting Weight: 92.5kg Weight Loss Required: 2.5kg Current Weight: 91.5 Weight lost: 1.0kg Status: On Track Achievement Unlocked! 6. Thanks mate, we were actually pretty tame - had a BBQ and some wine and cheese. It was a nice BBQ though (eye fillet)
  7. Down 0.4kg today, and back on track Goal 1: Exercise Every Day Week 1 Streak : 5/5 days Goal 2: Runs Twice per week Week 1: 2 - Complete! Goal 3: Starting Weight: 92.5kg Weight Loss Required: 2.5kg Current Weight: 91.6 Weight lost: 0.9kg Status: On Track It's been interesting graphing my weight loss this time around...it's been a few weeks now so I have some decent data. We've had some pretty significant weekends lately - birthdays, anniversaries, etc, and it's been a real eye-opener to see how much they affect the curves:
  8. 2 steps forward, 1 step back yesterday. It was my wife and my anniversary yesterday, so the careful diet slipped a bit and I had a couple glasses of wine. Still, only a little damage done, and an increase of 0.2kg. Got 3 dog walks in, and a run, plus some jump rope, so still a good day. Goal 1: Exercise Every Day Week 1 Streak : 4/4 days Goal 2: Runs Twice per week Week 1: 2 - Complete! Goal 3: Starting Weight: 92.5kg Weight Loss Required: 2.5kg Current Weight: 92.0 Weight lost: 0.5kg Status: On Track Also, ACHIEVEMENT UNLOCKED! Good Boy (Walk the dog twice in one day)
  9. @bgvanbur! Long time no see mate It's great to be back!
  10. Day 3 already! So far the diligence is paying off. I did an extra walk last night, and completed my second run of the week this morning. I wasn't planning on doing them back-to-back, but it was too nice out there to resist. Goal 1: Exercise Every Day Week 1 Streak : 3/3 days Goal 2: Runs Twice per week Week 1: 2 - Complete! Goal 3: Starting Weight: 92.5kg Weight Loss Required: 2.5kg Current Weight: 91.8 Weight lost: 0.7kg Status: On Track
  11. I came across a really interesting video from a while back that I thought would be worth sharing. It's all about where the weight goes when we lose it. I've always just thought "it's converted to energy", any while that's partly true, it's not entirely so. Fat is matter, and unless we have nuclear fission going on inside us, that means that when we lose it, it needs to go somewhere. So where does it go? Cool huh?
  12. Actually, yes I did! It wasn't anything fancy, and was just the Pi and screen, but it basically opened a browser on a page I made that looked like the PipBoy screens. It didn't actually do anything, but it was a fun project. My brother in law made a PiBoy from his, which I think I'll have to do as well before long:
  13. Achievement unlocked: 1 Small Step for man (Complete my first run of the challenge) I was feeling extra motivated this week so put together a list of achievements to keep me interested in the challenge. I scored one today! The completionist in me wants to do them all now!
  14. Now I definitely want them! Also, I believe the guy in the picture is called Wario...could be wrong though...
  15. Weight down to 92.3 this morning, so down .3 from yesterday and .1 overall Went for an extra 4k walk last night as well. Hoping for a run today, but we'll see how the weather goes...guaranteed way to get rain is when I decide to take up running again! Might have to hit up Bunnings for some some cement mix and harden up for this challenge.
  16. Did kettlebells and skipping rope today so far. At +.2 for weight because my neighbour plied me with beer last night. Feeling good though, and just got back from a short walk. Nice and cruisey day 1.
  17. Ran out of time for a run, but got a couple ks in walking the dog
  18. Scout Commander reporting for duty. Hit it @Endor
  19. Cool post, and it's spot on. Now I want to go adventuring again though...
  20. What are these tabata videos of which you speak? Are you filing them or watching them?
