  1. I need to not be sick! Renaissance Festival is in 2 and a half weeks!!!

  2. hey! thanks! I love green tea. I'll have to make some today; I havent made any in the past few days but I did buy some more honey sticks and those feel pretty good and then we stocked up on popscicles lol I havent had popscicles in forever.
  3. In the past 48 hours, I have slept for 3 hours. Being sick=no fun

  4. Quick update.. I was doing really well until this past week. My husband is on vacation so I thought I would just take the first couple days of his vacation off from working out and then work out the last few days except that he was horribly sick the first half and then I caught it and now I'm pretty sick. So this week has kind of been a bust but I'm motivated to get back on the horse once I start feeling better. I haven't been able to do anything between fever/coughing/throat on fire. On that note, my throat is extremely raw among all of my other symptoms so my husband has had me drinking a lot of 7ups. I told him about my goals on here but not being sick is pretty high priority because I feel not so hot right now (AND he's a doctor so I do what he says when it comes to being sick). So, basically this week was kinda blah but once I'm not sick I'm not so worried about sticking with those habits because all of the goals were becoming pretty easy until I got sick. Also, I think that we found a gym that we are going to get a membership to. (We just moved to this state this summer and we've been scoping them out). It has a HUGE cardio section and A LOT of TVs. Which may be silly, but I will work out a lot longer if I'm watching something.
  5. Hey! Thanks for all of the support and advice guys! I'll have to check out that brand of soda--it's the sugar that gets me. I have an awful sweet tooth. So my goals have been going really well. Now that I've been making myself drink water again it's just naturally becoming my go-to again when I get thirsty. And I've been using those crystal-lite mix-ins to help curb my sweet tooth and having yogurt with granola and fruit mixed in when I want a snack. I had one day where I sort of binged on sodas (my husband bought me cream sodas for my birthday and those are my fav!), but no biggie as I was right on track again after my birthday was over. Working out is going well too. I've been doing videos, trying workouts I find online (including this ab and squat challenge I found on Pinterest that I'm really liking) and walking/jogging around the neighborhood. This week my husband is on vacation (YAY!) and we plan on doing a few hikes so I'm looking forward to doing that to switch up my workouts some.
  6. It's been a good birthday! I feel very lucky to have a husband who knows how to spoil me!

  7. So I’m a little late in the game, but I’d really like to jump in and try this out so here it goes: Main Quest: Retrieve Pre-wedding habits! At the end of May we had the wedding. In June we had the honeymoon. Then we moved to a new state so my husband could start residency at the hospital here and we moved into our first house. And now…I work from home…but I’m going to STAY ACTIVE! My main quest is to keep up with good routines and habits that I had formed pre-wedding to get ready for the big day and the honeymoon. With so much going on during the time of the wedding, not worrying at all about working out or what I was eating while traveling and being on a cruise for the honeymoon, and having to move to a different state the week after the honeymoon and trying to settle into a new place, I’ve had a lot of time to get out of the great routines and habits that I had set up for myself. I’ve been walking/jogging and doing things like zumba/yoga but it’s not been as frequent as it used to be. But now that I’m working part-time from home I feel like it’s more important than ever to make sure that I build up those habits again because always being at home makes it a lot easier to be lazy. Challenge Goals Goal #1: Work out regularly and mix it up! There are a lot of different things I can do for exercise here like jogging in my new neighborhood, zumba, yoga, or hiking different trails around the mountains here. A= exercise 4-5 times a week B= exercise 3 times a week C= exercise 2 times a week D= exercise 1 time a week F= did not exercise that week Goal #2: Put down the soda! I only had soda once maybe every couple of weeks before the wedding but now I’ve gotten back into having soda way too often. It’s time to slow down with the soda again. A= 0-1 sodas a day B= 2 sodas a day C = 3 sodas a day D = 4 sodas a day F= 5+ sodas a day Goal #3: Drinking more water! I was so into making sure that I had enough water every day before the wedding. A small habit that made such a huge difference in everything for me! A= 8+ glasses of water a day B= 6-7 glasses of water a day C= 5 glasses of water a day D= 4 glasses of water a day F= 0-3 glasses of water a day Life Goal to Level Up: Get organized! This is our first house and while I appreciate the extra space (coming from both of us being in a one bedroom apartment), trying to figure out where everything should go is quite tough. By the end of this challenge I do not want to have any boxes sitting out in any of the rooms. I want to organize everything and consolidate stuff we have accumulated so that boxes are limited to the guest bedroom or office closets. Also, like with my gardening that I've started now that I have a yard-it keeps me busy and active. Motivation: I want to keep active to keep from getting sick. There have been too many people in my family who have suffered from things like COPD, congestive heart failure, blood pressure problems or diabetes. Not going to happen to me. I want to be healthy.

Wouldn't it be awesome if you lost more inches than you were counting, and the dress didn't fit?
