  1. So I know we are only a few days in, but I have some updates on my goals: 1. Stick to 90% Paleo and/or lose 10 lbs. I have been going to the gym, but my diest has been lacking for a couple of months. I dont really want to talk about this yet. It's not a good excuse, but I had a surgical procedure last week and did not bounce back as quickly as I was told I would, so I used it as an excuse for some comfort food this week. 2. Bench press 200 lbs - My current max is 185. I did that twice last week. I gave 205 lbs a try tonight and got one clean rep with it!!! So pumped! Probably had an extra boost of adrenaline being my first night back in the gym in over a week, but got it done nonetheless. It also leads me to believe I could have gotten more than 185 the week before last. I want to move this ultimate goal 220. 3. 10 planks for 30 seconds (in one session). My current max is 4 planks for 30 seconds. Following Agent's advice, I am adding one plank per week to my routine. Tonight I did 5 planks for 30 each. 4. Find a temporary second source of income to begin putting money away for our house downpayment for next year Not sure what to do here yet. I applied for a part time serving position at a pizza joint in town (I have over 20 years of restaurant experience), but have not heard back. I am going to give them a call to follow up. I am thinking of doing security (armed or not armed...likely armed because it pays better), but I found out that I have to pass a certification class and get licensed. The class and the license are expensive, and not in the budget at the moment. I have signed up for two secret shopping sites, but there has not been an available shop that I am eligible to go do that has come up yet. On a related note, my wife is about to start selling "It Works" on the side. Her sister has done extremely well with this business. FYI...ladies...if you are interested, let me know and I will pay half the shipping. That is all for now!! Have a great weekend!!! And best of luck to each of you on your goals!
  2. Wow...120 pounds. That is great man!! How long did it take you? My goal is to lose around 55 more pounds. I would like to be at a solid 190.
  3. Thanks Skython and Agent!! My ultimate goal is to lose body fat (look better and feel better). This is the third time in my life that I have attempted to eat healthier, lose weight ect for an extended period of time. The first two times I lost 70 pounds each time and I had used weight loss pills and tried things differently (one time I just swam ALL of the time, the other time I ran a lot). I am trying a different approach this time. No pills for sure. I realized I do not really like running all that much. I have no easy access to a pool this time. What I have found this go around is the enjoyment I have had with lifting weights and getting stronger. My current routine has decreased the actual numbers going off of the scale. So I have stopped weighing regularly. I have started taking pictures regularly though. By goal #1, my goal is really to stay on the Paleo diet. I would like to lose 10 pounds during the 6 week period, but am not going to flip out if I dont as long as I eat Paleo during that time. And I will count is as an "A" if I do stay Paleo. Does that clarify??
  4. Hey - I do not know how this normally works, but I added everyone in here as a friend and thouroughly plan to utilize this board as accountability. I am somewhat new to this lifestyle, but I have had past experience. I have lost 70 pounds a couple of times in my life prior to now, but have done it differently each time. I would love to know you guys' stories as well. The post I put into the goal thread in the adventurer forum: Hey Everyone! My name is Kevin. I have been reading NF for quite a while now, but this is my first challenge. I have been pretty committed since the end of January this year. I did an initial 60 days of Paleo, but have lost the edge for my diet...so this challenge is great timing for me. I have only lost 14 pounds since I began, but I am growing stronger, and my clothes are fitting better. My goals: 1. Stick to 90% Paleo and/or lose 10 lbs. I have been going to the gym, but my diest has been lacking for a couple of months. 2. Bench press 200 lbs - My current max is 185. I did that twice last week. 3. 10 planks for 30 seconds (in one session). My current max is 4 planks for 30 seconds. 4. Find a temporary second source of income to begin putting money away for our house downpayment for next year. I plan to continue going to the gym 3-5 times each week. I need to focus on my will power again. I was good during my first 60 days.
  5. Hey Strongmama!! Thanks for asking. My goal is to do 10 planks for 30 in one session of planks. I just started doing them in my routine a month or so ago. I have been building up to it. My first try I could only muster a measly 2 planks for 20 seconds and I thought I was going to die lol. The last time to the gym I did the 4 planks for 30 and felt I could have done more, but I was limited on time.
  6. Hey guys...this is my first challenge, and I would like in on this group too. The video alone makes you guys better than the other groups. Thank you for Kid President. I am officially pep talked, and ready for this challenge.
