  1. For breakfast I almost always have a smoothie. 1-2 cups almond milk. Plain unsweetened 1 raw egg 1 tsp almond butter 1 cup frozen fruit (berries or peaches or mango) Blend together Original recipe called for a whole can of coconut milk which tastes great but my weight loss stalled that week and I got badly constipated. Assumed it was the coconut milk and switched to almond.
  2. Any chance you're using coconut milk? It constipated me very badly and stalled weight loss. Just a thought.
  3. Very well said! You have to make a lifestyle change that you can live with. Get more active and eat healthy. Period. I used to roam restaurants by myself. Calories didn't count if there were no witnesses lol. Now you couldn't force me to eat the crap I used to put in my body. No magic pills. No magic machines. Get back to the basics and it will come off. Like you said, it's simple math and honesty.
  4. Updating my thread. Finished my 3 month challenge and I've lost 39 lbs. unbelievable. Best part is the energy. The first month I stuck to 2 days on 1 day off. Now it's 5-7 days on and 1 day off. Weights one day, run 6 miles nonstop the next. This from someone that used to whine about walking upstairs in my own house. I followed paleo very strictly but never felt deprived. I ate really well and whenever I was hungry. Can't imagine ever going back to old eating habits. I started at 190 and am 151 today. Still some weight to lose but I'm more excited about lifting heavier and running faster. Somehow I find that a whole lot more exciting than the results on the scale. Good luck to everyone starting paleo. It's so worth it.
  5. I cannot believe these results! I weighed once a week and measured once a month. It's a lifestyle change for me. I couldn't go back to my previous eating habits. From channel surfing couch potato to weight training and running 6 miles non stop. The difference in my energy and moods is addictive. Started at 190 lbs and I'm 151 today. Not at my goal weight yet but I never expected to be this close. Most of my goals now are fitness goals and not what the scale says. Kind of liberating. Lol
  6. I have that problem when I run. Hands swell right up. Does the swelling go down after you stop your walk? I posted a similar thread and got some good suggestions. Can't remember where I posted it but think the topic was called Swelling during cardio.
  7. Orthotics helped mine. Pain was pretty bad. Had to limp most days. Alternating frozen water balks and then heat helped relieve some of the pain.
  8. What a great post! Huge congrats to you! What an accomplishment. Keep up the great work! Very inspirational. Thank you for posting.
  9. That's a great run! I just hit 25 mins and I was so pumped. 32 is something to be proud of. Great job!
  10. Check iodine levels. It affects thyroid if too low. But I'd see a dr just to be sure.
  11. Omg did I laugh at the cereal reply. Made my day.
  12. Thank you! My sodium intake is really low. Much appreciated.
  13. I use dumbells with my squats for now. I've been able to increase the amount of weight that way. When doing rows I start with my weakest arm first. Hope some of this is helpful.
  14. Wasn't sure where to post this. Before my workout my wedding rings are so loose I worry I will lose them. After my workout, especially cardio days, they are so tight they pinch. Is this swelling normal? I drink a lot of water, don't use salt and am following strict Paleo lifestyle. Is this anything to be concerned about?
