  1. I will definitely be looking for that in the gyms around town. I have two big cities I'm in the middle of, so hopefully I will have a good bit of options to look at and decide what is best. Thank you for the advice!
  2. I had seen this before on 9gag. Interesting stuff really, and it makes you think a bit more about what you're putting into your body. I love broccoli as well only the high fiber isn't always so great for my stomach :\ so I am learning to expand my horizon of vegetables passed broccoli and cauliflower to other things such as bellpeppers and the likes.
  3. Because of reading this again, I-Jo I may be with you on making bacon. Though I just had my protein snack for the moment...maybe I will have bacon anyway. Bacon makes me happy, so as stated earlier...BRING ON THE BACON! By the way, anyone seen Epic Meal Time? They LIVE off of Bacon and Jack Daniels, and they're in pretty damn good shape, at least on the outside!
  4. Thank you ma'am for the link, I will check it out!
  5. I agree with Laureleye. I started with the Beginner's Body Weight routine, and have increased the reps and sets I do with it, as well as added on a few extra workouts. Pretty much building my own customized "Advanced Body Weight" routine to fit my style, what I enjoy and what works. Also, check out the Bar Brothers, they have a lot to offer to build in with Nerd Fitness!
  6. Pushed myself to do more sets this time and feeling great!

  7. 8 pullups straight, 7 handstand pushups plus an extra 20 seconds of holding the handstand after finishing. Pretty excited at my improvements!
  8. That's awesome! Welcome to the Rebellion! Check out the Bar Brothers, some of their bodyweight routines may be of use to you!
  9. It arrived today! Not the most enjoyable taste but if you take it like a shot it's not so bad! Energy levels are feeling fine at the moment, so I will post more results later!
  10. 60 Jumping Jacks warm up 4 Times routine - 30 Body Weight Squats - 20 Push Ups - 25 Toe Touch Crunches - 30 Dumbbell Rows - 25 Lunges - 45 Second Plank - 20 Calf Raises *each leg - 45 Jumping Jacks 4 Times tired me out, but much improvement is coming! Feeling awesome! Another interview today, stop off at the dealership for the drug test, and start work on Wednesday!
  11. I figure it would be much like any RPG other than events being matches to real life situations in the event a member can't join in, the guild should have in mind a back up plan. Rather than the "job like video game guilds" it would contribute to something you can use in your personal life, say a dungeon could be something community service based. This could be great for Nerd Fitness for many reasons. More people joining, putting a good cause to your community, growing the network etc. Tough, but what worth doing is easy at the start? (:
  12. You're never too late! You can Still join in on the current challenge, just get to it and kick ass! Welcome to the Rebellion!
  13. No one is interested at all? Even a slight bit? Think of the challenges and new competition! "Challenge Dungeons" with mini bosses and a final boss. No man left behind! You can't finish a dungeon or raid when someone is missing right? This would make sure everyone holds each other accountable! It would be pretty intense!
  14. As the doc said, it may not be anything MAJOR. Have you ever been checked for anything, congenital defect wise? Maybe see a Chiropractor, and they'll get you set straight! Another thing, try Stomach Vacuums. This exercises the important core muscles that are generally missed and can help strengthen the back as well. Do not take this as professional advice, but at your own risk and what you feel is right. But I do highly recommend seeing a Chiro. They do wonders.
  15. Awesome! Let me tell you, my mother suffers from Depression as well. Take it as it is, an illness. And what's the good news about that? ALL illnesses can be cured with faith and healthy lifestyle changes. My big tip for you, if you are a caffeine junky, cut back. This can have a leading cause to your depression and the doctors generally won't tell you, and why is that? Because they make money prescribing you meds, depending on if they are grouped with certain health insurance companies and the agreements between them. I was trained for the med field and I see it for what it is, one big scam. Granted yes there are times that they are NEEDED, but as for illnesses such as depression, crohn's disease, or other likes, they are not necessary. What DOES help is a truly HEALTHY diet, such as Paleo, and regular exercise. I am getting my mother to slowly convert to paleo to get her off the shit ton of meds she is on and live a happier life. I suffer from Crohn's Disease (an IBD) and Asthma, and ever since I made the change, I have not had a single issue with either of them! So, stick to it and stay positive and you will see results! Welcome to the Rebellion! Check out The Bar Brothers for some extra motivation!
  16. I'm expecting it in the mail tomorrow hopefully! I'll be sure to post how it works!
  17. As others have said, you have more than enough to get going! Check out the Beginner's Bodyweight Routine and build from there! I started with that, and added on things here and there to go with my increased strength. Check out the Bar Brothers for other ideas/motivation! And as WordSmith stated, try throwing the sandbags around. It's a VERY good exercise, believe me! I used to throw big rocks in the desert Get creative and have fun with it!
  18. Feel like I haven't exercised enough this week! That's going to change, even with starting my new job on Wednesday!

  19. Thank you again for more advice! I do run on occasion with a friend of mine going Pararescue in the airforce. He has taught me some advanced swim techniques and he pushes me when I fall behind. It is a very useful tool, and it's gonna suck when he leaves to training! But I shall manage. As far as using the street signs/light posts etc. I will definitely do that. I used to use corners for markers as well as mailboxes and whatnot, so it's worth using for sure!
  20. Probably having left-over turkey that I had made the other night myself! Along with some vegetables, and some green tea!
  21. Thank you! (: To be honest, I was afraid I would have the same feeling when I first did a handstand with the wall. I was surprised to find out that I could hold for 30 seconds without that feeling. Not quite sure how to improve that feeling or avoid it, I haven't quite thought about looking it up to see. Freestanding is pretty awesome but scary at first. If you push too hard you flip all the way over, which I had done once and twisted my arm wrong in doing so. Other than that, when you find your balance it's pretty fun!
  22. Body transformations, inspiration and motivation!
  23. Agreed with Littlenose. Get your girlfriend to join you, it's amazing how fun it can be with your partner! My wife, though pregnant, helps me, not usually by doing exercises with me, but on my offdays, she comes up with light exercises to keep me moving and pushes me through them. A little unorthodox at times, but fun and worth it in the end. Good luck on your adventures and welcome to the Rebellion!
  24. That's awesome! That just encourages me more to run farther in preparation for the police academy pt!
