  1. My name's Kat, I'm 20 & a full time Graphic Designer/Prepress Operator. I work on average 60+ hours a week which means for the most part, I'm limited to fairly minimal physical activity. For my first challenge for 2014 the aim is to gradually introduce & increase my physical activity outside of work. If you look at the image attached to this post, my goals are included on there. PS. If you can't already tell by the design, I'm a fan of Final Fantasy VII Objective 1: Attend Aquarobics every Wednesday for 1 hour. I've always loved swimming. I used to go to Aquarobics every week, all year round when I was in high school, so the goal here is to pick it up where I left off. Objective 2: Follow the modified Zumba Workout Program. I bought a couple Zumba kits a few weeks back and I'm determined to start. The timetable (as per attached image) is the same as the 'Fun & Easy Body Slimming' Program, I've just replaced the Wednesday slot with Aquarobics. Objective 3: Track Physical Activity & Sleep Patterns with Fitbit Flex. This is more medical related but I am also interested to see the results once it's teamed with the addition of Zumba & Aquarobics. 2014 Mission: Lose 20kg by the end 2014. I have design up a poster that allows me to track my weight through the year, week by week. This is part of my ultimate Lifetime goal which is to lose 40kg.
  2. Challenge Summary Goal #1: Stick to the Timetable! = C (Attempted to but I think I was a bit unrealistic in how I set it out) Goal #2: Learn to cook 3 Paleo Recipes. = C (Lost interest after the first recipe) Goal #3: No Munchie Runs = B+ (Had 3 munchie runs) Life Goal: Organise a design trip with mates from TAFE. = A (Did several over the challenge) Overall = C+ Deffinatley could've done a lot better but it's over now, can only improve from here.
  3. Week #6 Summary First challenge completed! Goal #1: Sleeping pattern is still very irregular as I've been a really bad way. Goal #2: Didn't end up cooking any Paleo recipes Goal #3: Had one munchie run. Life Goal: Completed several times over.
  4. Week #5 Summary One week left! o.O Hell this challenge has gone fast!!! Goal #1: Sleeping patterns completely out of it at the moment as I've been sick. All is I can say is I think I'm asleep more in a day than I am awake... Goal #2: Need to get a move on with this, this week. Goal #3: Had one munchie run with a mate last week - Top Deck and Chocolate Milk. Life Goal: Well and truely done this goal - think it'll deffinately become a tradition with me and my mate from TAFE!
  5. Week #4 Summary Geez that week went hell fast! o.O Took my new Proform 225ZLX for a test ride last night and did 5.68km in 20 minutes. It's a start! Goal #1: Starting to get better at getting to bed earlier around 10pm-11pm. Goal #2: Still haven't made any further progress on this goal. Goal #3: None! Not even craving junk food anymore! Life Goal: Have done two design hoards so far and have another two-three planned for holidays.
  6. Cheers mate! It's not so much that I'm forgetting to go to bed, it's just I've been studying to early hours of the morning to keeps up with all the assessments on the go at the moment. Getting better though actually got to bed before 11pm last night. Gonna try for an early night tonight.
  7. Week #3 Summary Three weeks down, three weeks to go. My Proform 225ZLX Exercise Bike arrived last Wednesday and should be getting installed on the 25th August. Goal #1: Wake up times have been what they should be but I'm still having trouble going to bed at 10pm. Goal #2: Haven't cooked any Paleo recipes since my first one. Goal #3: Had one munchie run. Life Goal: Had a really successful design run with a mate from TAFE on Tuesday 13th August. Also did another one on the Sunday 18th.
  8. Just a quick update, I get my Proform 225ZLX Exercise Bike tomorrow!!! CAN'T WAIT!!! http://www.rebelsport.com.au/eng/product/proform-225zlx-exercise-bike/0502000620016
  9. Been looking forward to getting it for a year and a half now haha
  10. Week #2 Summary Two weeks down, and going pretty well so far. In other news I get to order my exercise bike this Tuesday! Can't wait to finally get it at last! Goal #1: Still not going so great, waking up at the right times and attending lectures on days I have TAFE but I'm still spending too much time at night studying and not breaking my study into 3 hour periods on days off. Goal #2: Haven't cooked any Paleo recipes this week. Need to wait until I go grocery shopping Saturday. Goal #3: Doing well with this goal. Only had one munchie run this week when I had a friend come over for the night and watch movies but I only got a bag of Maltesers and Coca-Cola. Life Goal: Set for Tuesday 13th August! One of the girls from TAFE and I are going to do the whole of Rundle Mall.
  11. There's nowhere else I can add to at this point unless I start cutting into my sleep and I can't do that all over again. If anything I need more sleep becuase I have next to zero energy these days that I can barely remained focused on my work.
  12. I haven't decided on another yet, will choose before I go shopping again in a fortnight. No idea, just take it as it comes, work load is increasing and theres only so much I can do within the timetable and I just have to make extra time which eats into other things. As long as I can managed to maintain my weekends that all that matters. I need those for my sanity's sake.
  13. Week #1 Summary Overall I have to say I've made a good start this challenge but I'm deffinately going to have to work hard on sticking to my timetable. Goal #1: Didn't go so well. Only managed to stick to the timetable for a couple of days. Had a couple of really late nighters again finishing assignments. Deffinately need to make more of an effort on this goal now that we're already into our first round of assessments for the semester. Goal #2: Cooked one Paleo recipe - Stuffed Roasted Capsicums from Paleo Australia website. All I can say is it's very HOT! (maybe a lil too much cayenne pepper & chilli) Goal #3: NO MUNCHIE RUNS! Quite proud of myself here because there were a couple late nighters doing assignments until 4am and it was looking pretty damn tempting! Life Goal: Organised and set for the 13th August!
  14. Yeah they have all their catalogues and brochures for all the different brands and sections, plus we can go buy a heap of gear while we're at it
