  1. Okay so this week has really been a challenge. I started med school and have not eaten well at all. I have however been keeping up with my workout and my financial goal. The measurements this week are the all the same except weight...which is back to 193....ugh So I basically just maintained my weight this week. Now that I'm getting used to the crazy time constraints, I'll plan my meals out better. UP AND ATOM!!
  2. Thanks! I'm still keeping up with it. This weeks measurements aren't as good as I had hoped, but I'm not discouraged! Weight 192 Chest 39.5 inches Waist 40 inches Stomach 40 inches Shoulders 46 inches L arm 14 inches R arm 14 inches L thigh 27 inches R thigh 27 inches neck 15 I've lost another in in my stomach though! So that's awesome! I think my initial goal was to lose 4 inches. I've gone from 44 to 40 in the gut. I'll have to set my new goal to 36 inches around my stomach. Wish me luck!
  3. I've been strength training every day except today. My weight hasn't really moved too much, but I've noticed some definition forming in random places all over my body. It feels good to see even a little progress! Weight 192 Chest 39.5 inches Waist 40 inches Stomach 41 inches Shoulders 46 inches L arm 14 inches R arm 14 inches L thigh 27 inches R thigh 27 inches neck 15.5
  4. I like how detailed your goals and grading system are. You'll do great! I know it! When you become a famous author who is also in the best shape of his life, I hope you still participate in the six week challenges
  5. So day 3 today! I'm glad to say that I've stuck with it thus far. Anybody have any suggestions on how to deal with shin splints?
  6. I hope you find your way out of that dungeon as soon as possible! Good luck!
  7. I love your motivation. Good luck on your journey and remember to enjoy it as you do it! Soon you'll look back and be so happy that you broke that 200 lb threshold!
  8. I couldn't help but laugh when you mentioned your clothes! I don't know about you, but I'm going to reward myself with some new clothes when I reach my goal!
  9. Thanks LadyJustice! It already feels better to know at least one person knows my goals!
  10. Have you ever woken up and looked in the mirror and wished something was different? I do this EVERY DAY. I will not wish anymore. Starting today, I'm going to get up and look in the mirror and ask myself, "what am I going to do today to improve?" Main Quest: My main quest is something I've wanted for a long time: I want to look in the mirror and be proud of the man that I've become. "That's a great idea", you say, "but how will you measure that?" Here's how I plan to measure it. At my heaviest, I was 220 lbs. I've half-assed diet and workouts for about 9 months. Today, I weigh 195. My overall goal is to be around 170. So I need to get serious! I don't know enough about weight loss to know if 25 lbs is doable or healthy in six weeks. So my goal is to weight 180 lbs by September 8th and/or have lost 4 inches off of my gut. I'll post my measurements along with my weight to show my progress. Three goals to accomplish my main quest: 1) Introduce myself to paleo. I'll do this by cutting out all processed foods for the majority of my meals. My diet will consist of meats, veggies, fruits, and nuts. 2) Commit to a workout program. I've chosen the body sculpting bible for men. In addition to this workout plan, I'll walk 2 miles a day. 3) Weigh in and take measurements every Sunday. I'll post these each week. Life side quest: Deposit $25 dollars a week into a trip fund to finally see Machu Picchu Measurements: Weight 195 lbs Chest 40 inches Waist 40 inches Stomach 44 inches Shoulders 46 inches L arm 14 inches R arm 14 inches L thigh 28 inches R thigh 28.5 inches neck 15.5 I'm joining the rebellion to become the man that I want to be! Please help!
  11. Awesome! I just did a few sets on my perfect pushups before I checked this site. Congrats on reaching 40, friend! I'm working towards 20 right now.

    First Challenge

I love your goals. What will you do if you reach 10 pull-ups before 6 weeks is out?
  13. That's a great idea. I'll have to change that at my bank tomorrow
