  2. I played a lot with a big shipping scale for push ups- reg, feet elevated, etc. It was very interesting, but i have no idea what the results were anymore!
  3. Excellent. It's moer important to know what will work for your than to try to make work what wont.
  4. Day 11 Warm: GUSU 26x5 Waiters Walk 26x70 paces x2 Goblet Squat 35x10 Work: Dips bwx5x2 Bent Row 80x5x2 WGRDL 135x5x2 Farmers Walk 44/53s 60 paces x2 switching hands to even out loading. Snatch 26x10 each side Ab wheel x5
  5. That sucks, I hated migraines when I got them. Feel better! I must go finish sawing something....
  6. Obax, you just dropped another exercise back into the rotation for me, when my 40 days are over: Man Makers. I did a stint of those starting with the 15# dumbbells...once you hit 25 reps nonstop in a specific time period, you went up 5#. I remember it got awful after 30#, but I seemed to have blanked the rest out. Burpees but worse, what fun!
  7. A story I heard once from a musician, when complaining about how stupid people were on average: "remember all the poor bastards that drag 'average' down to where it is".
  8. Yeah, takes the place of the swings as the 'high rep ballistic move" in the template.
  9. Day 10 Warm: GUSU 26x5 Waiters Walk 35x80 paces x2 Goblet Squat 35x10 Work: (thick bar, always in pounds) Press 80x5, 90x3, 95x2 Clean 90x5, 95x3, 95x2 DL 135x5, 160x3, 190x2 Farmers Walk 44/5s 105 paces x2 switching hands to even out loading. Swings 26x10, Snatch 26x10 each side Ab wheel x5 Next ten days will be: Dips Bent Row Wide Grip DL Snatches instead of swings.
  10. You can replace "free speech" with almost anything and the following sentence still holds true.
  11. I think you could, you'd have to play around to find just how 'sub-max' you needed to keep them, and how many holds per session made sense. Gymnasts train pretty much every day I believe...should work for any 'strength' focus.
  12. I'd take one or two days off a week, but it works out if you are smart. I've gone too heavy one day, and had to tone it down for a couple of days to make things work. The walks are x whatever I walked...so the waiters 60 paces x2 is one walk each hand. Yes on the GUSU, I do one set of five on each hand. It's an interesting thing, I links it. It totally shut down my WADD which is good, as I am too busy right now to be fucking off playing with programs!
  13. I think it's interesting. The three mains get switched after day 10, to weighted dips, bent row, and wide grip RDLs. down a couple pounds this week, too.
  14. Day 9 Warm: GUSU 35x5 Waiters Walk 35x60 paces x2 Work: (thick bar, always in pounds) Press 80x5x2 Clean 100x5x2 DL 140x5x2 Farmers Walk 53/62 60paces x2 switching hands to even out loading. Swings 44x35 Ab wheel x5
  15. That would have had more relevance before I quit drinking.
  16. Thanks for the update. You feel better, girl.
  17. Day 8 Tonic day Warmed with a few pushups and ring rows. Press 50x10 Clean 50x10 Dead 95x10
  18. Yeah, I'm pleased about the weight. I'd like two more 25s and that would do me. I like it. No DOMS at all, doesn't break me down. I could see cycling this with something like 2-4 weeks of bodyweight or complexes for most of the year...
  19. Day 7 This is singles day, and the deal is 6 singles adding weight but never missing. As I clean my presses, i just kept cleaning after I finished my six presses and so on into the deadlifts. Yesterday we hit play it again sports and they had another 80 pounds for me which is great. GUSU 26x5 Waiters Walk 26x60paces x2 goblet squat 35x10 press 60/70/80/90/100/110 clean 120/130 dl 140/150/160/170/180/190 farmers 53/62 x 60 paces x2 swings 35x40 ab wheel x5
  20. Ska, check out the second link as well...the basic plan is laid out in the first one "the 40 day workout" and the mod I am doing is in the second one "even easier strength". The EES template is five days a week...but people do it straight through like Croman said, as 3,4,5,6 day schedules. You vary the load depending on how you feel for the most part, and never go to hard. Like the C-man said, it's about very regular practice on a few moves and making that your new normal. I'm shooting for 5 days a week, but my schedule gives me an extra rest day periodically. Basically if you followed the EES template as written you'd finish the 40 workouts in 8 weeks. So far I like it, in large part because I don't have to think about my workout, ever.
  21. Day 6 Warm: GUSU 26x5 Waiters Walk 26x50 paces x2 Work: (thick bar, always in pounds) Press 75x5x2 Clean 75x5x2 DL 140x5x2 Farmers Walk 53/62 60paces x2 switching hands to even out loading. Swings 35x35 Ab wheel x5 Back has been tight, so I am dropping the front squats for now, and moving the swings to the end of the session. Felt better this way.
  22. I ran in Brooks when I ran, one of the only shoes other tha New Balance that fit my feet well. Wanted to like Montrails but that wa a no go. Stair Master is your new nickname....
