  1. You've got the right attitude about it. It happens. I think we've all been there (in the parking lot chowing down on that unwholesome goodness), and I wish you the best of luck in climbing right back into the saddle.
  2. Today has been a pretty good day so far! Got up early (take that alarm clock!), fit in a work out, and have been keep pretty clean on my meals. Only issue I'm having is figuring out how to up my push up count. I'm making gains in every other part of my work out. I'm going to do a bit of digging around NF to see what I find.
  3. I had a little line about how I didn't put losing weight as a goal because its not. I want to get stronger and feel good about my habits. But then I deleted it because I thought it looked a little too much like an after school special. My ultimate goal, way down the line, is to just be able to rip off a set of pull ups with no problem!
  4. Quick update. I stepped on the scale this morning (only do this once a week on Fridays) and holy crap! i'm down 3 pounds in a week! I'm sure that the earths gravitational pull was somehow diminished at the exact moment I stepped on the scale, but who cares! I'll take it. I'm not entirely convinced that I've lost 3 pounds in a week, but even if I only lost 1 it makes me realize how important eating right is. This definitely energizes me to keep it up!
  5. So far, not so good. I have yet to work out and have only woken up on time once! It's been a crazy week with family in town visiting and a pretty stressful work week on top of that. I have at least been eating pretty well, and have managed to track every meal so far! I'm going to be able to work out tonight, and just keep on going strong through the weekend!
  6. I think you've got it backwards because beef and pork are the hard ones and chicken is easy. Have you every tried to make the cupcake sized frittatas? It is an easy make ahead breakfast. Good luck with the bird!
  7. Thanks for the encouragement guys! I'm actually a bit nervous about the ten push ups because I started out being able to do 7 a month ago, and as I've been working out regularly it has dropped to 3. Since I'm not seeing any improvement there I decided to try cleaning up my diet to see if that helps.
  8. Hey-O! This is my first challenge and I'm pretty pumped. Starting Stats: Weight: 120 Lbs. Height: 5'2" Goals: 1. Work Out 5X/Week: I want to do 3 full body weight sessions/week and 2 cardio sessions/week. How that gets broken down I'm not terribly concerned, but I'm thinking MWF - weights and TTh - cardio (bike/running). 2. Clean Up My Diet: Through tracking on MyFitnessPal. I want to move towards a more Paleo diet. I've been doing a little baseline tracking to see what my diet looked like before the challenge. I want to ease into things. I'm not planning on being fully paleo at the end of this shebang, but I want to take a good step towards it. The only thing I am declaring giving up is sugar. 3. Do TEN Push Ups: I can't do ten push ups. I would like to be able to by the end of the 6 weeks. 4. Level Up My Life by: Waking up and getting up when my alarm goes off in the morning! When I do get up on time, I get my work out in before my day starts, I feel better and make better choices throughout the day, I am early to work, and just in general better off. My bed however is the most comfortable thing in the world and its soft, cuddly cocoon of warmth is very seductive in the morning. I shall overcome! Right now these goals seem very attainable to me, and I like that. In the past I will get really excited and go crazy hard (accomplish a lot) then burn out fast. I want this to be about creating sustainable habits that evolve over time! At the end of this challenge I just want to feel better about my habits than when I started.
