  1. Hello Everyone ! At the beginning of this year i hit nerd fitness with the goal to lose 20 pounds and level up my life , like most things i do i jumped into it very fast hitting the gym creating my blog "Cool Story Corey" and making a huge list of challenges and adventures i want to complete. Things went ok for the first month hitting the gym 4 times a week for the first 4 weeks , new jobs got in the way and moving around kicked in and i eventually lost the battle. So 6 month's later and now i am back preparing to give it another fighting chance. Im preparing to travel to India for business so hope to start blogging about my travels while also exploring and exercising like crazy while im abroad.

  3. Thanks so much for the words of encouragement I was doing great until this week i have utterly failed most aspects of my challenge lol going to hit the gym tonight if i can make it sat night and Sunday ill recoup

  5. Just started rowing the last few days and it makes the elliptical seem worthless , after 15 minutes on the rowing machine i feel like puking in a good way i love it.
  6. I can relate to this and i am still trying to find a solution to it myself , weird question but do you sleep with your tv on ? One thing iv decided that helps me is drinking a TON of water before bed nothing wakes me up more then having to go to the bathroom .

  9. 3am last night i could not find the motivation to go to the gym i went to sleep in a attempt to get on a normal sleep schedule only to wake up at 6am 3 hours later. I decided since i was only going to get tired later and sleep all day anyways i should do something productive so i went on a 5 mile run / jog / walk to the store with a 20lb pack, My calf's hurt super bad but i feel better about skipping the gym.

"A year from now you will wish you had started today" — Karen Lamb Every summer for the last 4 or 5 year's i look back to a specific day the previous winter that i thought to my self "maybe i should go to the gym and get in shape by summer", i always seem to settle for imaging how in shape and great looking i would be if i had just done that only to shrug it off and deal with reality.I was frantically looking for some kind of inspirational quote to help me go to the gym and this one hit home the hardest just due to me always wishing i had started earlier in everything i do not just in fitness related things but with life in general. Iv managed to do my first full week going to the gym 4 times not all for 2 hour's though i am hoping next week will be a little easier i will hit the 2 hour mark all days. I decided if i can get to my car that's half the battle . After reading a lot of Steve Kamps blog and also periodically reading other blogs online every few weeks im starting my own in the hopes of improving my terrible grammar and encouraging me to do more exciting things in my life.
  11. Finally went to the gym since posting this so im doing pretty terrible on that front , hoping to start this week off getting everything on my challenge done also working on my own personal blog to hold my self accountable
  12. Hey everyone My name is Corey i am very new to this but excited to start , i was referred here by a friend who plays a lot of D&D. I have never really been able to get into D&D but have always been a big fan of mmorpg's , i have thought to my self many times if i spent as much time working out as i did lvling up a character on a game i would be way better off. So when i heard of this website it was a great opportunity for me to get into D&D and get back to the gym. I use to workout often and i gain muscle mass fairly quick but lose it even faster, i use to be able to eat fast food every day and not gain a pound but since working behind a desk all day all of that has changed. Fitness +2 Stamina +1 Wisdom Use my new stand up desk for 4-5 hours a day Write content everyday (I use to be able to stand up for 8 hours a day working minimum wage jobs through high school , now i would be lucky to stand up for 4 hours with out getting frigidity , i run a digital magazine but have a hard time writing every day ) Standing: A: 5 Hours B: 4 Hours C: 3 Hours D: 2 Hours F: 1 hour i will grade everyday then add together for a curv Content: A: Every day B: Miss a day 6/7 C:5/7 D:4/7 F: 3/7 +2 Strength +1 Dexterity 2+ Stamina Go to the gym 3 times a week for a minimum of 2 hours (Running should account for atleast 45 minutes of this , the gym use to be my escape and i use to enjoy going i want to get the feeling back ) A: 4 Times a week B: 3 Times a week C: 3 Times a week less then 2 hours D: 2 Times a week F: 1 Or less +3 Strength Curl 40lbs dumbbells on each arm 10 times (when i was really in shape i could do this )A: 40 lb B: 35 C :30 D:30 F: WTF?! +2 Stamina +1 DexterityRun a minimum of one mile once a week at midnight(if i could manage to have a clear thought while running i would add 1+ to wisdom )Pass fail 4+ runs in 6 weeks pass any less fail Life+1 Wisdom Take a short walk everyday its not raining (i live in portland,oregon so 3-4 days if im lucky )Pass fail - 4+ Walks a week Pass
