  1. Yesterday, I found a park where the ponytas run. I caught a small herd (6), but not one was appraised as decent. Puts me much closer to being able to evolve a good one once I catch it.
  2. Vacation's over. Made it to level 13 in the 3 days I had in Myrtle Beach. It was nice having an amusement park with 10 pokestops right across the street. Especially since the amusements didn't open until 4 and the park was always open to foot traffic. I chose team blue.
  3. I made the mistake of downloading the app so my son could play. It started a profile for me; now I must catch them all. I just hit level 5 and am thinking of going blue. I'll let you know what I actually end up choosing.
  4. Actually, the skills didn't get beyond his pushing it in.
  5. Talasin is random, though he was the last of the regular ancients that I got. Both Viscaria and Talasin are epic, so they can be taken to level 50, while Emberclaw maxed at 40, and Foreveil at 30. I should be able to start either wardens5 or paladins3 in the next hour or so.
  6. I've been using Viscaria almost exclusively since I got her. The extra passes seem to make a huge difference. I can take out a lvl5 Primus Conduit with 3 passes. I do think Talasin's breath attack may be powerful enough to make the lower number of passes viable. Here are my dragon stats: Foreveil (Ice): Lvl 21, 611 HP, 41.94 DPS, Freezes for 2 secs with low damage (seems very low) Viscaria (Nature): Lvl 22, 995 HP, 39.9 DPS, Poisons for low damage and 3 seconds (initial pass lingers and multiple passes within 3 seconds all appear to deal damage) Emberclaw (Fire): Lvl 18, 575 HP, 46.22 DPS, Burns for medium damage and 3 seconds (haven't done much experimenting with her) Talasin (Lightning): Lvl 11, 635 HP, 44.65 DPS, High damage sweep no real lingering effect (does seem to do a bit more damage but doesn't live through many sweeps) May be really powerful with a few more levels. The dragons get more HP as well as DPS each time the dragon ability is leveled (so every 5th level I think).
  7. Looks like they've made it into The Pub! http://rebellion.nerdfitness.com/index.php?/topic/68019-hes-limiting-opponents-to-a-average/
  8. Nyrax was way overpowered in the first month or so, then they changed his "Death" attack from any building to only defenses and toned it down a bit. He still has the highest number of wins for me. Tokemi is the death ancient I use more at this point; you'll get her after a month of playing if you log in regularly. You may want to save your death primus for her. Get the ice dragon, Foreveil, as soon as you can. Having a dragon changes everything, and he's a decent ancient to boot. Actually all of the ice ancients have been pretty good. Aegis is my favorite lightning ancient so far; he can be gotten from the loyalty chests. The only wrinkle with him is that he costs loyalty points to improve instead of gold. I'm not a big fan of any of the fire ancients so far, I'd probably keep your primus until you get the dragon, Emberclaw. The first two nature ancients, Kestra and Erasmus, are pretty weak, but Viscaria is awesome. Save all of your green primus for her.
  9. I would move your stronghold up the priority list at first. The extra troop portals and troop upgrades that become available are really important. Also, I have found better stuff tends to drop from chests as you increase your win streaks and stronghold level. Save those rings everybody. Trying to collect enough to upgrade my gold storages and stronghold is taking me quite some time. Unfortunately, that means we probably won't have more sentinels any time soon. I have managed to collect all of the normal ancients and the one from the lightning daily campaign. I really like the nature dragon, Viscaria, as both dragon and ancient. I think Talasin, lightning dragon, will have a stronger attack, but I don't have the primus to level him up as high.
  10. My understanding is that there is no real disadvantage to rushing your stronghold. I would focus on offensive upgrades first, since the game is fairly heavily slanted that way. As far as matchmaking, your opponents get stronger as your win streak lengthens. That being said, I'm a SH9 and seem to always be starting a streak against 8 or higher. Usually it seems to be a 10, which makes a streak of any length pretty hard.
  11. I've learned a few things, so I'm going to share: The Kingdom Raids are fun. I think our sentinel should probably be one of the more defensively developed bases since they get a 10%HP bonus. Paladins are AWESOME. If you have been lucky enough to win them as a boost troop and used them, you may know what I mean. I need to experiment a little more to be sure, but it seems like they may not work well with a Death ancient. I don't recall noticing any issues when I've used them through a booster (I used Nyrax almost exclusively), but it seems like now that they are my own troops, they either don't start healing or they stop once I use his death power. I have now switched to Admiral Lee, though I may power up Lyris and see how she does. Another hint that I read somewhere: Don't upgrade your Primus Conduit. Reasoning: The additional increase to speed and damage is minimal compared with how much gold it costs to charge. I've upgraded to lvl3 and it now costs 1080 gold (308.6% increase) to charge, and I believe it gave me an additional 4% damage and speed increase (20% increase over initial bonus).
  12. Has everyone visited https://www.reddit.com/r/Kingdoms/comments/35eho8/rival_kingdoms_codes_promo_master_list_updated/ ? The 5k android bonus has expired, but the others still seem good.
  13. I've been mostly using Nyrax. I hit 2 portals (3 if the base is poorly designed) and one or two other structures then use his Death ability on the catapult that's in the worst spot for me. He currently has 290 of my wins. I am looking forward to getting Erasmus. His spell tower attack has really got me stymied on the 3rd level of the desert campaign. With all the nature prints I seem to collect, I should be able to get him way up there right away. Is there any way to level up Ancients besides primus? Death and nature are the only 2 I seem to get much of.
  14. The kingdom is slowly growing. We're over halfway through our initial projects. Not sure what they get us, but happy to help as much as I can. I just got Lyris from the daily rewards; is she any good? I have way too much nature primus and not much of anything else. does anyone have a good guide on the optimum way to level up ancients? I know it gets more expensive, but you can also get them way beyond the max set by your shrine if you get them just below then hit them with a bunch of 2,500's. My chat doesn't work much at all in the game; I'm not just being anti-social.. Addiction is good for base progress. See you guys in the kingdom!
  15. Having fun in the kingdom. I only downloaded it last night and have already found my 3rd ancient. Any hints on how to take on the 6th stage of the northern campaign?
