  1. LW....I'm going to expand on my goals and add making at least one new recipe a week (the coco chili one you gave me was goin' to be my first, lol). The produce co-op selection this time was kinda normal, next one might have some more fun stuff. I will post any new recipes I try during the challenge though.
  2. Going to eat it.....not sure if you need pictures of that ;-p If I make anything interesting I will post, but more than likely will just grill or roast the veggies. Finished Day 3 gluten-free and sugar free again. Dinner chili pork: diced pork tenderloin 1 can chili spiced tomatoes, 1 can Ro-Tel, slow cook in crock pot. 4 oz of the pork and added diced sweet potato and a 1/4 cup of fiesta corn and one tbls sour cream. I did hit up the damn chips again, they might need to be hid....... Not sure if I should go back to using MFP to track cal and macros, or just concentrate on trying to continue to eat clean and see if there is a change in the next few weeks......
  3. yeah, I am a huge DL nerd!! Tas was originally a character that had to grow on me, but after the Legends set he was a fav of mine. Always loved how Rais had a soft spot for him! I look forward to seeing your journey unfold.
  4. oh Tas.....the first thing that comes to mind is: "Tas is enjoying all of this immensely, Tanis realized. He felt like shaking the kender, lecturing him sternly on how much danger they were in. But the half-elf knew it was useless: kenders are totally immune to fear." subbing for thr kenderificness to come! And now I will be re-reading all the books....thanks for that Might need a Flint or Raistlin in here to keep an eye on all of you!
  5. I guess it would be better if it said 42 days, but hell I will take making it for 30!!
  6. that point where you can;t sit down to take of your shoes because your legs will refuse to lift you back up.....

      Such a satisfying moment! :D

  7. Day 2 recap and Day 3 thus far: Yesterday was 100% gluten free: Breakfast: Chicken, pepper, onion and mushroom eggless scramble and sweet potato.......Wife made pancakes and I did not even touch one, well I did to cut up for the midget, but I took no bites!! Lunch: Chicken tacos, corn tortillas (gluten free), 1.5 oz cheese, 1.5 tbl spoon sour cream, loaded with peperes and cabbage Snack: Banana, kettle chips (they are gluten free, but now on the banned list.....) Dinner: repeat of breakfast Plus it was produce pickup time. I love you co-op: Not pictured is the 5# bag of sweet onions and 5#bag of sweet potatos (that cost less then $4 together...again love the co-op) All is golden today so far: Breakfast: chicken n' veggie scrabble, sweet potato Lunch: shredded beef tacos, measured cheese and sour cream 1 oz each, carrot sticks, apple Diced salsa pork is in crokpot cooking for the next few days.... I believe that is all to report.
  8. First off, I go gluten free and you all start talking about beer in my thread……either you have major faith in my willpower or you are all cruel sirens tempting my with your beer goodies!!!! My dad started home brewing about 2 years ago and has found he is a natural…..his cherry brown ale is addictive!! If you have ever had Kasteel Rogue it is damn near spot on to it! Kat, I would not mind reading your blog as well. I spent 10 years bartending and 3 years selling wine, for a decade my life revolved around alcohol; serving it, selling it and drinking it!! Plus some of these guys live right down the road: Thought this commercial was a good choice for NF as well!
  9. First off.....Kat, sorry it took a bit to find your challenge...but it was worht the delay to read all of it at one time!!! <3 this thread Outstanding theme and goals! I am happy that you realize your tendency to 'burn out' if trying too much in the begining and it appears you have a great plan to keep yourself in it for the long haul this time. I have been debating rather or not to use MFP this challenge but I have friended you and will check in to add another set of eyes to stalk...er I mean, hold you accountable...muahahaha If this happens I will train my ass off and do everything I can to make the trip up if I have enogh time to budget and plan for the wife and midget!
  10. Negativity breeds negativity.... And there is always someone out there doing way less than you, and looking to you for inspiration.... Yet again, there are some of us nowhere close to 45# yet... Cline, if you don't stop thinking this way I will make it a mission to organize a NF Posse, find you and beat a positive self attitude into you!! Repeat after me: "Cline is a badass!!.....Cline is a badass!!!....Cline is a badass!!!!" Remeber you inspire others. No matter the rep amount or the amount of weight you do, you have helped to inspire me. And I will never think any of the work you do is "rather shitty"
  11. Can't argue with that! If everyone were to ever get together I would wear these:
  12. Fell out of desk in class to that thought...... *goes to check for flight cost and check bank account*
  13. well we don't know the heights or eye levels of the participating parties.......
  14. Ok, this just made me LOL and wake the midget.........
  15. It's not that epic, I just made it a secret so I would not shift focus from my food goals myself.... I may have to re-work it into something epic to not let down the masses........off to find a map for the Zoo, Museum and local military base....hmmmm
  16. Damn you LW....if I was not envious enough of your willpower and feats of epicness thus far, now I have to be jealous of you as well in the fact that you have a Sprouts near you!!!! I would murder for a Sprouts....hell I would even take a whole foods or trader Joes that I didn't have to drive an hour+ into the damn city to get to! I digress....outstanding job so far on your challenge, I don't know how you had the will power to resist In-N-Out....(even if it is not real food, it's super tasty).
  17. AP and Hatter, any man should count himself lucky if he got to make sandwiches for either of you!
  18. Jess, subbing to watch you stomp on these goals! May not post much due to the exponential growth your thread receives....seriously ya'll are crazy (but in a good way)!!!!!
  19. Aisle, outstanding goals!!! Props on the possible tuition reimbursement through work, that's huge! I think your scheduling approach is brilliant, I find too loose is never effective and to strict is easy to rebel against. Your plan seems to have just the right amount of must do rigidness while allowing a flexible scheduling approach for the rest of your time (plus props for making SO time a mandatory!). As for the weight fluctuations, remember that weight can change daily due to sooooo many different factors. I use to get mad at the scale when I was working so hard and I would see a loss then a gain then a gain then a loss...lol. Most of mine depended on water weight, most people forget that water weighs 7 lbs per gallon....and if you have increased your intake it will add some weight. For your sore feet, make sure you are tying your shoes up properly....I know this sounds a little childish but when I started running I was surprised by the difference I felt when I made sure to tighten my laces from the bottom up. Resist the urge to just put the shoe on and pull the laces tight from the top, if the mid and lower laces are not snug then your foot will slide in your shoe (normally not enough to notice, but enough to cause blisters etc.). I learned quite a bit of basic "duh" knowledge that I would have never consciously thought of when I went to the local running/sports shoe store (thank you Running Start). Ok, enough unsolicited advice from the big boy crowd. Looking forward to following you through this challenge!!
  20. Woot, way to go AB! Resisting calzone goodness (or in most our cases, evilness) is a big win in my book!! Plus that salad sounds good....I'm so jealous of you southern hemi folks right now, I want summer harvest fruits and veggies Ass DOMs are the worst in my book. My wife has a good laugh at me when ever I try to up my deep squats, which usually end up giving me ass DOMs so bad that it's uncomfortable to sit. Maybe try a little light stretching at the end of the day to help with the DOMs? Sorry it has takin' me so long to catch up.....but I am routing for you and can't wait to see you beat down another challenge!!
  21. Well I guess it officially challenge day 1. Again, nothing flashy: Goal 1: Woot!! Gluten Free all day long. Breakfast was Machacka. basically a large Mexican scramble: peppers, onions, shredded beef, strips of corn tortillas, salsa, extra sharp cheese (1 oz per serving), sour cream (1 tbl per serving) avocado and fresh salsa!! BAM, all other breakfast's may bow down!! Goal 2: Cheese and sour cream were measured, had 1/2 cup of left over rice with lunch. Lunch and dinner were both chicken breast and Normandy vegetable blend......no sugar, no extra salt! Goal 3: No fast food.......I even said no when my wife (after working a long double shift) stopped to pick something up on the way home.....winning! Secret Goal: Initiated.....shhhhh I would like you all to know that I will be reading everyone's threads. I may not comment much but I will be keeping up. I have almost tripled the number of people I am following and have a hard time keeping up with it all (especially you folks that get 20+ comments an hour it seems!). I have been lucky enough to make more friends here and also have been picking a few first timers to follow and poof........before I knew it, every time I log in there are 45+ updates (99+ after I wake up in the morning)! I hope you all know how much I appreciate you! PS: those that might have been stopping by for the old motivational posts, please see the link in my sig!
