  1. yes I did, I even had it in a responce right after the first glitter reference, but I deleted it out of fear of retribution from the masses!!
  2. I successfully fought that urge..........but it appears it is now here to haunt us all
  3. The standard image in my head of the ladies of NF: Badass's with a shiny girlie center
  4. AK, you are a badass. I have not been around much so I just want to make sure you remember: and thanks for this, I have been willing to murder for a good Carnitas recipie....mine were ok, never quite right!!!
  5. I'm a little late to the party, not sure what "THE" pants are, but if they are anything like my "THE" suit, then Congrats. Outsatnding job on get to that point!!
  6. lol, better set aside some time, every time I turn around it seems I have to catch up on multiple pages!! PS: I do not advise reading while in class, I lol'ed and now have the class turned around looking at me instead of the movie that's on....opps
  7. Outstanding job Max!!!! This is the best statement ever!!!! Very proud of you for pushing through your challenges and achieving success in gaining self-confidence; which in my opinion is one of the hardest success there is.
  8. It is not a fail (remove this word from your vocabulary).....according to your life goal on page one, "I will transfer it out if something comes up".....now granted it is not a girls night out or something fun, its something that needs to be done. I believe this is just proof of sticking to your goal!
  9. ATHF is F'in hyserical!!!! especially all of the Mooninite episodes! This is my plan for our pumkins this year:
  10. (I know I was gone for a few weeks, but holy hell!!!! page 27......... I have just spent the last 20 mins catching up) First off, you are doing outstanding, and I am thrilled to see such an awsome group of friends coming together here (especially in the first timer thread. And yes I will be trying to catch up with everyone esles thread but catchuing up here has used my whole lunch break!) Second, I agree with the try to find better versions of the food you crave. If its pizza make one at home, you can control what goes on it and the use less of the bad stuff....personally I use a ton of mushroom, onion and peppers, then make sure to measure out the cheese, use turkey pepperoini and use good local pork susage......just an idea from a biggin' that tries to cook healthier for my family! You should be around for burger and sweet potato fries night:) And lastly... I can't think of many male comic book or video game characters that aren't build like Ryan Reynolds or the Rock.....if they are "larger" men, aka fatties, they are normally bad guys. And I won't get started on the standard male body in TV and movies. I saw we burn down Hollywood......Sorry unitentional rant, I will cut it off early. Anyway; keep doing the great work and when you want to misbehave just remeber we are all watching you........ ...really don't look behind that bush over there, it's just a bush....no one behind it...... or simply remeber
  11. We are lucky people, we get to be here for you to vent to after all the times you have been there for all of us. Plus Ryan's always here to listen: Bam, thanks for the back up there Ryan!
  12. Thanks all, I will start working on getting to at least this minimum point.
  13. Holy squatting hell, I am confused. I have read posts here, and other sites, viewed youtube videos, even had a trainer, but I am lost when it comes to squats. One site calls what I was shown by my old trainer as a “squatâ€, a half-squat. Another calls a squat what someone else calls a deep squat, or there’s a plie squat that’s really a squat squat…… and on and on. I really don’t care about names, what I would like to know is what to do. My current goal is to work body weight squats for now and get to lifting strength training after I drop some weight. At 360lbs I figure I don’t need to add weights yet, plus no gym so workouts are at home. I did the angry birds workout for a while and finished on 3 sets of 40 overhead squats (holding a broomstick), but I was only going to thighs parallel to the floor. In the research I have done I realized that most all BW squats were done to parallel, but weighted squats were ‘deep’. I do have a rather large belly (58â€) so I can do assisted ‘deep’ squats but I have to stand a little wider and toes and knees point out (but still knees over toes). I guess my main question is, is there a different approach for BW squats to lifting squats when it comes to form? Is there a way I should be training my body now in order to be better prepared for lifts later? Did anyone start from a point like me, with a large body mass and worked their way to strength training, and have a good progression plan or ideas? Thanks folks! I realized this is more about BW than lifting but I have found more squatting info in your forums and figured I would ask here. Plus Spezzy is kinda my hero, yes a dude can have a female rolemodel!!
  14. Anyone else get this image in their minds..... or am I the only crazy one?
  15. “Aye lassâ€, Dim returned as he handed over the reins. Reaching for his coin purse he caught eyes with her, “so 8 copper a day, hmmâ€. Looking past her to the sables Dim pat Nester, “He is a wee bit of a creature, are you sure there is not a small corner in the stable that you overlooked†he said with a wry smile. “Probably not I guess†he said as he opened his coin purse. “8 copper, to be tied and hitched..â€, he started counting, “or, maybe five silver bits for you lass, and a silver a day for that spot you might have overlooked…â€. Dim smiled as he watched the girls eyes look down to his hands where he had been counting silver pieces from the beginning.
  16. Blaidd, I know I say this a lot, but I am so proud of you. You last challenge you wanted to gain discipline, and I have seen nothing but steadfast discipline in you throughout this challenge so far. Not just the big things, Whole30 and not feeding your emotions, but even in the small stuff I can see a difference. For example, your approach to reintroduction. Keep up the great work and the inspiring attitude! PS: Kabobs and "humus" sound awesome!!

  18. Do we get our left over gold/silver after paying for initial equipment? is it our "walking around" money?
  19. “Stick to the side streets and make your way around to the other side of the square†the guard had said with a puzzled look in response to Dimlull’s question. “Figured a dwarf would want to be right in the middle of the traders today…†Dimlull gathered up the donkeys guide reins and looked into the town. “….happy Smith’s Day!†the guard stated as Dimlull started walking, ignoring anything the guard said after the general directions. The outer side streets weren’t too crowded with most folks already gathering toward the center of town. Dim found himself getting lost in his thoughts. A commotion in the crowd drew Dim out of his thoughts, to find himself on a busier side street. “Good luck making it sea! I give you two days†Dim heard as a figure leaped over a cart ahead of him. “Hmmf†Dim exhaled with a half laugh at the tone the figure regarded the obvious group of pursuers that had given in and were turning away. A gentle nudge on the shoulder redirected Dim’s attention to the donkey standing behind him. “I know, I know†he replied to the moody glare the animal was giving him. “I promised you a good rest. Come on Nester†he said pulling the reins guiding the donkey behind him through the small crowd. It had been a longer stint then normal between towns this time and the donkey needed a good break and to be tended to. Dim however would have been more than happy to avoid any town on this day, but he could not risk Nester throwing a shoe. Making his was around he took the opportunity to look down the streets towards the center of town. The sounds of music and merriment could be heard. It had been a while since he had heard more than a single musician if any music at all. The small communities that Dim preferred rarely had musicians or bards frequent them. Glancing over his shoulder he could tell by the gentle sway of Nesters head that the music was a soothing welcome, he started to grin. The drumbeat reminding him of the rhythm of a smith’s hammer at work, ‘the gods how I loved that sound, when……’ Catching himself in the moment Dim quickly snapped himself out of it; squaring his shoulders he gave a slight tug to the reins breaking the animals ease. “Come on†he grumbled, “the inn awaits, let’s get you stabled and check that damn shoe.†Nester let out a soft bray and snort of disapproval in being jerked out of his dazed state. “And maybe I can find some decent drink.†he added as they continued down the street, the back of the inn in sight.
