  1. character sent will post for all to see once it is reviewed to make sure I didn't screw up too bad. Rolls are as follows: Will: 7+6=13 Fort: 12+3=15 Fort: 17+3=20
  2. Sorry for the delay....I will try to get my character rolled tonight and sent to you but it wont be till late evening. If you need to start up before that i can sit this one out and wait for the next game.
  3. I will work up some form of a healer in the next night or two and get it over to you. Never played a healer in pen and paper...this could be interesting.....
  4. sweet, I will start learning and rolling up a few characters....I am assuming this is all still coming together but is there a list of the party characters, and their classes?
  5. wait....I come back after a 1+ year hiatus from NF and the first thing I see is a game starting up...... If anything that made it worth logging back in. I will throw my hat in to play if you still need players....still kinda new to PbP but willing to try. Let me know whats up and what system we are using (either way I will have to do some research)
  6. I have no input on the other styles, but I have trained BJJ on and off for 3 years now (so about 1.5 years of actual training): I agree with this in so many ways, except the shoulder and knee comment...but I would like to add that practicing BJJ when you are bigger and inflexible and be rough at times...I am 6'2" and 380+ and know from personal experience. Find a good school that you feel comfortable at and it will be like family, they will work with you and train you to use advantages you have to counter act all the areas you might be lacking in (though those areas will fade with training).
  7. Guzzi is wise, trust the Guzzi, believe in the Guzzi!
  8. GUZZI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ****Virtually tackle hugs Guzzi across the room****** I am trying to come back and so so so thrilled to see you here and even happier to hear you are a "very happy bunny"!!
  9. Oss! Super proud of you for competing, let alone winning!!! Way to go. Just reading your thread made me mad I skipped class tonight to rest up... It's been a bit so I don;t remember if I ever asked what school/affiliate you train at?
  10. Hey Kishi, thanks for the welcome, I'm hoping I'll actually stick around this time...lol Rooks, I am only a white belt, I have trained on and off for about 3-4 years now. I absolutely love bjj and recommend it to everyone. The main thing in my eyes is finding a good school you are comfortable at...the training is hard enough and people weed out easily so it's best to be surrounded by people who you ar comfortable with and that you can truly learn from. I forget where you are located, but if you want I can ask around about schools in your area. Update to come soon...
  11. Putting this up real fast due to coming back the night a challenge started...plus, do frivolous details real matter… Goal 1: Track my attempted paleo-ish intake Yippee, back to tracking food…..but not only that, I am also trying to go at least 80/20. This will be done by weekly meal prepping so most all meals will be measured and ready to eat. Target: track all intake into MFP and make at least 16 meals in the week as paleo-ish. Goal 2: Tackle the Academy I have logged back into the newly improved NF Academy and have started the Body Weight track and am starting at level 2. Target: 3 NF Academy BW workouts a week. Goal 3: Get on the mats I have finally returned to training back at the academy, now to make it a priority. Target: train 3 times a week Goal 4: Sleep With so much going on and training again I need sleep…well more/better sleep. Target: bedtime is 2230 so I get at least 6 hours a night. Again, making this fast as I just saw a new challenge started and its 32 mins past my bed time.
  12. Im here I promise...just working 10 to 11 hour days and a sick midget at home... I willnupdate this weekend.
  13. Wait....there's snacks and Ratron-nastics *wedges himself in between StarGazer and CourtnieMarie*
  14. It was not a partial win...progress no matter the size is always a win!!! (Said to make myself realize this as well)
  15. Sooo many veggies....I love cooking veggies in new ways. Some favorites so far: -Balsamic braised bacon onion and brussel sprouts -mashed caulflower, plain or loaded -grilled asparagus -high heat sautéed zucchini, summer squash, onions and mushrooms with oriental style seasoning -roasted brussel sprouts seasones with left over dry rub seasoning -smoked stuffed mushrooms Damn now I'm hungry....
  16. Umm...fitting in old clothes and boken katas, I see exciting all over this!!!!! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk
  17. Crock pots are an amazing tool for food prep days...dump everything in set the timer and go do other stuff. I try to run two meals out of it each Sunday, one high heat for 4 hours then a slow and low for the rest of theafternoon/evening. And there areso many great ideas and recipes out there for them now. 18. I think body weight training in most anyway really focuses on these areas...it amazed me the difference I noticed after doing cage fitness and change in functional strength. My lifting ability might not benefit much but the use of movement strength and effect ot has on smaller motions was really noticeable when I rolled , and was even mentioned by training partners after we rolled. Looking forward to seeing if you notice any changes.
  19. Keeping up on newly formed habits is just if not more important than establishing them in my opinion. Keep to it. Im curious to see what design you will use for a pullup bar, both the free standing and doorframe home units always make me nervous.
  20. Nothing flash, nothing fancy…last two weeks have been rough, rounds of sickness in the house, nasty weather, hate my job, totaled out my car…but hey no dwelling. It’s time to get my ass in gear and to do what I need to do and build a strong foundation for a successful future. Food is fuel, not happiness: I have a real issue with food, I always seem to be all in with proper nutrition or all-in-my-mouth with everything in sight. Time to start tracking again, I have gradually gotten better but not quite as good as I need to be. I have found when I track and it is in front of me in black and white I tend to stay very disciplined. The problem is this normally only lasts until I have a mental/emotional breakdown and binge. Goal 1: Track food intake, no matter what it is, track it. Movement is key: I work in a giant office structure at my desk, I try to move around at work as much as possible making extra trips when I can but I need to increase movement. Now this would normally be where I focused on BJJ but due to totaling out my car 2 weeks ago and a new car payment being squeezed out of an already drowning budget, I have had to quit my training for now. I will still try to make open mats on Saturday since it’s free but I must take this time to keep conditioning for my eventual return. Enter the Frank Medrano workouts and weekly cage fitness. Goal 2: Just so happens Frank’s program starts with a 4 week immersion training…so I think I will be following this program. I will also do cage fitness each Saturday. Find the happy: It is no secret that I am insanely unhappy and pissed of half the time anymore…this needs to change, without a proper mental foundation this all goes to shit. So it’s time to find some things to enjoy again. Goal 3: Do something daily for me, be it read, write, draw…do something I want and that I used to like to do. Don’t sweat the small stuff, but still do the small stuff: There are a few bricks that need to be set in the foundation to make it stronger: Finish reading Level Up Your LifeCreate NF character (maybe spark some writing ideas)Complete reading whatever the hell the name of the internal learning about myself and find the proper job book my parents sent meFinalize our monthly budget2230 bedtime on work nightsStart blog for future use (more on that later)Goal 4: Do these things Plain and simple, hitting the restart and returning to the NF Fold. I have taptalk on my phone now so I will be stalking you all….and hopefully commenting more often! (Gifs and general silliness to appear in the near future)
  21. Holy hell you're still doing this challenge....*dies from shock*
