  1. I'm on a Wii right now, but I'm thinking about getting a PS3 to go with the new HD TV that we got for Christmas.
  2. I'm an improv comedy performer. I live in Chicago, and perform mostly here http://www.chicago.ioimprov.com. The theater has a ton of famous alumni, including (but definitely not limited to) Tina Fey, Seth Meyers, Chris Farley, and Jack McBrayer. I play with a team called Mike Helicopter, and I'm also in a show called Improvised Star Trek which is exactly what it sounds like. My background is in theater. I have a degree in Theater from the University of Massachusetts, but again, I primarily do improv comedy now. Oh! This is me: Comedic nerd fitness enthusiasts forever!
  3. The one thing I LOVED about VIII was the card game which I can't remember the name of right now.
  4. Love A Song of Ice and Fire, love Name of the Wind, love Wheel of Time Books 1-7, and the new one, but hated 8-11. It's frustrating to wait for "A Song of Ice and Fire" books, but they're so good, that I think they're worth the wait. Currently reading "The Dragonbone Chair" by Tad Williams, and loving it. As far as non-book reading goes, I love comics, and just finished "The Great Fables Crossover" graphic novel, and enjoyed it thoroughly.
  5. Top 5: 1. Final Fantasy VII 2. Super Mario Bros. 3 3. Metal Gear Solid 3 4. Sim City 2000 5. Mario Galaxy
  6. I grew up on the North shore (Newburyport specifically) but my fiance is from Martha's Vineyard (we met at UMass Amherst). Right now, I'm lifting weights five days a week, splitting up body parts by day, and incorporating supersets. I just started to do some High Intensity Interval training as I try to lean out a bit for Summer.
  7. My fiance and I go to the gym everyday after work. The gym we go to would probably be out of my price range, except I get a discount for being an actor.
  8. Hi everyone! I'm a lifelong nerd/geek, but have in the past few years gotten really into physical fitness in general, and weightlifting in particular. Growing up, I was the classic short/scrawny kid who got teased/beaten up for loving Star Trek, fantasy novels, and comics. As an adult, I got a degree in theater, then headed out west. I moved from Massachusetts to Chicago to perform improv. Now, by day, I work for World Book Encyclopedia, and at night I perform improv comedy at iO Chicago, including a Star Trek themed improv show. In my spare non-work, non-performing time, I lift weights like my life depended on it. In terms of goals, I really just want to get bigger. I'm sure this has something to do with a small-man's complex, but whatever. I've gained roughly 40 pounds since college, but I still want to gain more. Short term, I'm actually starting to lean out a little after bulking all Winter. I'm glad to be here with so many other nerd fitness enthusiasts!
