  1. I got roughly 2 miles done today on the mountain with one of the kids I work with. If I could count all of the miles I run with/after the children then I could have gotten it myself HAHA. So let see we have a total of Starpuck: 6 miles (+2 for canoeing)=8 Paladin Alex:2 miles AlienJen: 105/4 (just to keep things consistant)= 26.25 Pwallace= 2 Total= 38.25 11.75 more miles to go. And don't worry Paladin, the next one will not be running. * Side question does everyone have acess to a swimming area around them? good to know for future obstacles.

  3. so to answer the question in my title, evidently my profession is to be a lazy butt lately. Havnt really been working out (I do but for some reason the workouts havent' been feeling as good) and my diet has gone to crap. I signed up for a bootcamp that starts monday and it seems like ever since signing up I have been excited but havent had the motivation to go to my gym because I want to start that new program....ugh time for a run when I get otu of work

Objective 4 Rubbing your knuckles, you gaze down at the dwarf sprawled unconscious across the floor. “Well that was one hell of a fight to watch†Drusok the goblin says. “I'd be getting out of here if I were you. Seeing how he was my companion I am going to have to kill you for that, even though he deserved the beating. Because he deserved it I am going to give you till my beer here is gone.†he says taking a deep drink from his flagon. You turn and sprint towards the door, throwing it open as you stumble outside. Once outside you look around to try and get your bearings. As you are standing there, three others come flying out of the building as well. “What the...?†you all say simultaneously. Standing in a circle all curiously looking at each other are an she- elf, an she-orc, and two male humans. “What in the name of Malacarth is going on here?†the she-orc growls. “One minute I am fighting a drunk dwarf and the next you lot appear out of nowhere following me. If you are friends of that dwarf I didn't start that fight but I won't be scared to give you the same as he got.†“Friend of that drunken idiot?†One of the humans replies. “HA! He challenged me to a fight and I showed him what we Spartans are truly made of.†“I too fought a drunk dwarf.†The elf says “However I barely managed to best him. I am not much of a fighter. To be honest, that is the first fight I have ever been in. I don't really know more than how to hold my fist.†“Wait just a bloody minute†the orc demands, “If I fought the drunk dwarf, then how did you fight him also? I left him unconscious on the ground in there. He didn't just wake up and fight you cause there wouldn't have been enough time.†“Simple.†interjects the second human “we all seem to be victim of an interdimesional portal. We all fought the same dwarf but in our own dimension, and the act of passing through the door of the inn simultaneously, forced all of our paths to converge upon this one. I am going to assume that you all received a cryptic letter that you had to decipher after loosing yourself from your bonds in the cellar.†“How did you know?†the orc replies looking confused and more that a little aggravated. “It would seem that a surge of cosmic energy, most likely from the overloading of a flux capacitor charged by dylithium crystals. My guess is that our best bet of getting out of here would be to just play along for now and see what comes along.†“Well I for one am going to go in search of my loved one.†Says the elf holding up a piece of parchment. “He has been captured and I have to get to a cave of wonder and retrieve some golden idol to save him.†“as do i†“Me too†“and me as well I guess†“Well it is settled then†the second human says “we are off to rescue our loved ones. Lookes like we have to get through the forest first. I am guessing it is about 50 miles to the other side where those cliffs are†He says pointing off into the distance. “Lets go!†the elf yells over her shoulder already running down the path. Your objective We have 50 miles to cover to get to the cliffs of despair. We need to cover this distance together. Go out for a run, a walk, a jog, a bike ride ect. Propel yourself using your legs and feet then record your distance (in miles preferably but I can convert if need be) here along with how you are feeling. Also, list what gear you are carrying the story so that I can flesh out the characters a little more. Thanks and happy trials. Oh if you are able to run outside and start enjoying this summer!

  9. I am on the third book of the wheel of time series. I have read the majority of them before but I finally got my hands on the last book and it has been years since I read them so time for a reread.

Worked out using the XBOX UFC Kinnect trainer the other day, did a 20min session and felt like I did nothing (there were lots of pushups and squats and such but no punches thrown) so I worked the bag and hit the mits for another 20-30 minutes. THinkin I whooped some Dwarven ARSE! new update will be coming tonight or tomorrow. get ready for a heart thumping challenge!
  13. Jen you are absolutly KILLING IT! keep up the work and the only doubt that I have in my mind is that you will stop at lvl 50. You will keep going, keep loosing (to a certain point we don't want you to disapear) and keep getting stronger, and most importantly keep kicking DONKEY!

  17. hey everyone, sorry i havent updated in a while, cats broke my laptop last week and i have been posting from my kindle. no fun. gettin the laptop back today and update will be there by monday.

  19. talked to the paternal units and they are going to be buying my entrance into the race. pretty freakin stoked! also for anyone that doesnt know on the spartan race website they have free ebook on to train for a spartan. they also have a list of a few obstacles that HAVE to be in the race in order for it to be a sanctioned spartan race
  20. hellz yeah i will! i am incorporating it into my off days from lifting its a great full body workout to get me ready for my first spartan race in november. hope you are feelin better man. what.works for me is lots of vitamin and sleep with starwars (the original three) playing on tv. just like being a kid again
  21. hey man wanted to stop by and let you know that watching your bouldering video inspired me to hit the rock wall at my gym. hell of a lot tougher than i thought was going to be but it was a blast. keep at it man

  24. my guess is going to be no....however you could figure out how much the bricks weigh, then figure out how much water that would be, pack empty water bottles in you checked luggage (if you are taking any that is) when you get to chicago just fill the waterbottles and you can use those as your "bricks" Just a suggestion.
  25. Decided to do a mid challenge update so here we go Thanks for the support guys. I feel honored that you are all following this and I haven't even posted my goals yet HAHA. speaking of goals, here are mine “Spartan! Come back with your shield, or on it.†~The mentality behind the Spartan warrior culture was that to come back without your shield meant that your had dropped it so that you could run away from the enemy faster. This would not be tolerated. My shield is the flab/body fat/weakness that I still possess. That being said I will complete the spartan warrior workout program and be able to complete the 300 workout. (STR 3, END 3, DEX 2) So this one is going good. I have bee keeping up with my workouts fairly well and have been powering through them. I have seen my pullups improve. I went from being able to do barely 2 to now I can almost bust out 5 perfectly. I am going to rate myself at 75% right now simply because I still have time to go. "I can make you Rich beyond all measure. I will make you a Warlord of all Greece." ~This one shouldn't be to hard considering I have already laid the ground work for it with the last challenge but I still want to continue to build my savings. So by the end of the challenge I will have at least 250 put away in Holiday savings (Wis 2) This one has been achieved already thanks to a DJing event that I had. 100% "Spartans! Ready your breakfast and eat hearty...For tonight, we dine in HELL!" ~I found that eating paleo was very good for me last challenge, however it made it difficult especially when dining with my fiance came into play. So I am going to continue to make good healthy choices and I am going to continue to eat paleo but at a 80/20. Some of the things that will be added back in will be brown rice, quinoa, bread (in small quantities) ect. (Con 1 Cha 1) This has been tough for me. While I have been trying to eat good I have definatly slipped. I am going to give myself a 60% on this one. (Highest I will achieve is 85%) on this goal due to a couple of binges i have gone on. "It is not fear that grips him...only a heightened sense of things." ~I am starting to get really bad at noticing things that I should be. I have become so caught up in the fast moving world that I don't take time to slow down and appreciate what this world has to offer, or when I do it seems like such a novel concept to me. I want to make that normal. So I will notice one new thing that would normally be overlooked and record it. (Wis 1) 0% Haven't done one single recording and while I have been noticing things, I havne't noticed "NEW" things. I am going to scrap this one for this challenge. I have started reading again which I am happy about so I am doing soemthing with my mind but not what I had planned on. You see, slaughtering all of those men of your has, uh, well it's left a nasty cramp in my leg so kneeling will be hard for me." ~Mobility and stretching have always been tough for me to do. I feel like I am not doing anything when I do them so I avoid them. That being said I know it is good for me an I need to do more. During the challenge I will do at least 1 session of yoga or stretching (p90x Yoga or X-stretch) a week (on the off days that I do not lift) (Con2) 30% I have only done 2 stretching sessions since the begining of the challenge and even then it was difficult for me to do them because i had to force myself to. I do some extensive stretching before and after my lifting sessions so I sort of feel that that is adequate for my needs right now. I will continue to strive for this goal though. Well there is my update I stand here ready to take criticism. Fire away (and i mean it your criticism will push me harder so let me have it)
