  1. Keep at it! After a while your body sort of learns what it needs to do to stay balanced.
  2. For an all purpose cleaner mix about 1/2 cup vinegar and 1/4 cup baking soda into half a gallons worth of water. I would suggest scaling it down if you let it sit for a few days it losses its potency. To clean the kitchen floor mix 1 cup vinegar, a few drops of baby oil, and a gallon of warm water together. Both of them work well as deodorizers, baking soda sprinkle on fabric or carpet and let sit for a few hours before vacuuming up. Vinegar can be mixed with a little bit of lemon juice and left out in a small dish. And if you need to get rid of odors while cooking take about a cup's worth of water, add a tablespoon of vinegar and let it simmer next to what you are cooking. A note on the vinegar is that your house will smell like it for a bit after you clean with any of these so plan accordingly. Plus side is when the vinegar smell goes so does every other smell. First time I used these I could smell an open bottle of bbq sauce from across the room. I have a few more kicking around I just need to find them.
  3. Lol, well that is certainly a way to make sure you don't slip. I actually have a few problems with my family unintentionally and intentionally sabotaging my diet. Keep saying no though! A lot of people will actually respect you dieting when they realize they're serious about it. I've even had my friends catch me eyeing something tasty and have them remind me of my diet.
  4. Yeah I can't blame you, just looking up Muay Thai made me sleepy. But now all I can think of are V's fight scenes, so it's alright.
  5. Hmmm I hadn't even though about how to grade it. I'll need to set a grading system up I think, though I am going to try and leave some room for effort counting, I always loved that about gym class. As for the push-ups I did realize that problem after I posted that. I think I might change it to being able to do 50+ push ups in a 2 minute period, which was my next challenge goal. Let me think on the your points and I'll post a new challenge when I have had time to think.
  6. Hehe, he was actually being rather nice so not creepy at all. Though him mentioned he had noticed my workouts does imply I have my own personal stalker. This has actually been a question a lot of people want to know the answer too. Until I started watching what I ate there were actually times I would forget to eat for a day or two. My best guess is that I just have a really really slow metabolism. But for the record my chili actually has a ton of veges in it, especially if you consider beans a vegetable. But at the end of the day I'm a carnivore. Yeah it wasn't that tasty either on top of it. Which is good, that way I'll remember that for next time. So today's activities were... working and gym. Slept until about noon since I didn't get home till 2am from Boston and then it took me 2 hours to fall asleep. Pulling an all-nighter tonight to try and get my sleep schedule back on track as I've slipped back into my closer sleeping pattern (not falling asleep till 4am and not waking up till the afternoon. But on the plus side got my roommate to go to the gym with me. We actually use the same gym, I convinced him to join when he moved in with me. He's actually in better shape then me, which I totally blame on his and his girlfriends *ahem* night time activities. So had a gym buddy! And talked a bit to the ladies who are always as the gym when I am. They were wondering if I take the gym's bootcamp classes and we ended up chatting about crazy schedules. What I Did -Got my French lesson done, but I'll need to step it up if I want to meet Friday's goal. -Found out that everyone I work with exercises regularly, which amuses me as we sell the food that is horrible for you. -Rented Bioshock Infinite, awesome so far. Workout Did my morning bodyweight routine but no walking, was running a bit late and had to get to work. Plus side I did do some light stretching and push ups at work when my boss told me to take a break. Today's gym visit was the "Carry a Person to Safety Workout". It went well with only one hitch, I forgot to bring my punching bag with me so couldn't do my bag carry sets. I ended up adding some negatives and leg lifts to make up for the fact. What I Ate Breakfast was my usual. I'm out of bacon now though so guess I shall have to find another alternative. Lunch was a chicken sandwich at work. Processed chicken with lettuce wasn't so bad, though next time I am brown bagging it. Dinner was chili, almost out of it. Don't worry though I have a bunch of spinach with my name all over it. That and some chicken in the freezer means my diet is probably going to get a little better.
  7. And here I was thinking I was short (5'8"). But welcome, when you do the cosplay you have to post pictures. Nothing is better then a good cosplay.
  8. Impressive list! For the clumsiness you should do what Bruce Lee suggested, put your shoes and pants on standing up. Apparently it really helps you learn to balance.
  9. Welcome! College is a pretty good time to change some things about yourself, considering you have a whole new start where no one knows you. Even better you probably have access to a gym and other work out places (woo!). That said I agree with Annlea, it's kinda hard to eat healthy with campus food. Does your dorm happen to have a kitchen?
  10. Welcome! You picked a great time to start as the cold is finally leaving (I'm your neighbor up in Maine). Check out some of the resources here we have all the things you're going to need to turn yourself into Batman (minus 18 billion dollars)
  11. Welcome! If you're trying to get away from all the chemicals you might want to switch to using vinegar and baking soda to help clean your house. It's better you, your house, and your wallet.
  12. Welcome man! Plus side is you already have a lot of information in your head to use with the Rebellion's. Soon enough you're going to be the healthy you that you used to be, which is good as children have a habit of making you exercise whether you want to or not.
  13. Welcome! Don't worry about the beefed up men, in my experience they are usually friendly.
  14. Welcome! Hopefully we can help you reach those hundred hours, and the next hundred after that too.
  15. It's a fairly nice place from the few times I've visited. Though asking for road directions from someone who spoke very little english was not a fun time. Hence learning French, that and it sounds cool. Feel free to bug me, just give me a little time to learn the lingo.
  16. *sigh* I am poor right now. I will be getting it though, and soon.
  17. Your race is something you decide for yourself, using your own judgement. If you're not familiar with the Dungeons and Dragons races then check out this page as it lists all of them. Then just go through and pick the one that most matches where you are physically. For example I picked dwarf for myself because they are rather heavily built, strong, resilient, and a little on the shorter side. Try reading the standard races first and see if any of them remind you of you. If not then start reading the others till something seems right.
  18. Huh, this is a really good idea. I think I'm going to try it out.
  19. Congrats on the body weight row! I'm wowed that you can actually do a hand stand though, every time I try it just ends with a big crash. >.>
  20. Everyone has those dull days, what's great is you still stuck with your stuff rather then stay all day in bed.
  21. Good job so far! Have you considered switching to some "better" sugars to help wean you off them? Stuff like adding fruit to your oatmeal instead of sugar (if you add sugar to the oatmeal, lord knows I need to to eat that stuff) or using a bit of honey in your tea?
  22. Glad we have no worries about lack of snark then. But as for the bitchiness I can relate. Being a "fat guy" used to be a big part of how I viewed myself in the past and it made it so I was always being negative to myself. What was worse was that I never realized that it was happening for the longest time. Stick with the office games trust me on this. Eventually you're going to have this utterly amazing and earth shattering moment when you realize that you haven't thought of yourself as "Fat" in a long time. it's going to blow your mind, especially when you realize it was all because you made it happen.
  23. Welcome JJ to the Rebellion! Ditto to what the others here have been saying. From the sounds of it you don't seem to be eating enough food for a regular person, of course I am no expert. I would suggest listening to your body. If you're constantly hungry then I would start eating a little more, the same for if you are never getting hungry even when you should be. If you get cravings for something good like red meat, dairy, nuts, etc I'd give in as your body is probably trying to tell you something. Also try spicing up your meals! If you like mustard and chili sauce try googling those with "healthy meals" to get some new recipes to try.
  24. Glad to be of service. *bows* Spanish is also on my list of languages to learn but I decided to start with French as I live only a few hours away from the Canadian border. Plus I want to travel to France at some point, so knowing at least a little of the language would be a big help.
  25. Baby steps are awesome. You'd be surprised how far those things will take you. And definitely check out your gym.
