  2. Thank you! I've just started noticing less stomach problems and it helps me stay low-carb, I'm definitely staying gluten-free!
  3. Decided to give myself the day off, I didn't even count my calories (I'm planning on stopping that soon anyway) but I ate paleo! I feel my arms much stronger and I did a full bridge and even "walked" in the position. Tomorrow I'll finish week 4 of c25k and hopefully continue to steer clear of chocolate!
  4. Yeah, my friends/family are pretty divided, some are supportive some are unsupportive to the point of teasing me, offering me bad food all the time and constantly saying I'm not gonna last much longer. I'm hanging in there, though! Haha, yeah I'm definitely NOT loosing this bet!
  5. Thank you! Oh wow, how cool! Well it sorta depends where you're going, but if it's somewhere near the beach avoid buying just about anything there (your wallet will also thank me) The good thing is that there are steak houses everywhere so you can load up on protein and vegs! It is, I'm sticking to my diet/exercises and I'm addicted to this site!
  6. Alcohol - but the alcohol itself is not the problem, I usually stop when I'm just a little tipsy, the problem is that it excludes all my self-control and makes me want to eat EVERYTHING in the fridge(and if I run out of food I just go out DRUNK and by some more ) Chocolate - any kind. I know it'd be okay to eat just a little but it's so hard to not eat the whole bar/box.
  7. Nice job with your work outs! I've always wanted to try kickboxing, maybe when I finally get a job to pay for the gym Also, I notice a lot of people only eat the egg whites not the yolk, not sure why?
  8. Aww, you're lucky to have a gym buddy. I hate gyms but I think I'd actually stand it if a friend or my roommates were willing to go with me :/
  9. É bem diferente mesmo! Se um português fala rápido eu não entendo quase nada É divertido falar uma língua e ninguém entender, mas você já está muito bom, vai surpreendê-la! Vou dar uma olhada nesse site, estou aprendendo Espanhol!
  10. Shorty's Club, we should get t-shirts (5'1" here!) I agree, you'll have to post pictures of your costumes! I'm letting my hair grow and when I get fit I want to cosplay as Lara Croft, haha! I also really like MyFitnessPal, specially because it helps me remember wth I'm supposed to eat(I plan ahead to avoid slips), I always forget! Good luck on your quest!
  11. I tried free running a couple years ago and ended up with my shins covered in bruises! But I haven't given up, but this time around I'm first building up strength with body weight exercises. Anyways, good luck on your quest!
  12. I'm 5'1" and a little chubby and I still get the "you don't need to work out/diet" kinda sh*t, misery really likes company! Anyways, welcome and don't forget to eat healthy but eat more if you are trying to gain muscle. There's a really good calories calculator at iifym.com that helps you get an idea of how much you should eat to bulck up. Good luck!
  13. Hey, if you want I can help you out with Portuguese! Why did you choose to learning it?
  14. I've always wanted to meditate but it's so hard for me to stay still! This challenge is perfect, I'm going to practice my focus and hopefully until Monday I'll be able to meditate for at least 30minutes!
  15. That's all you eat? How do you not starve?? Also, I notice you don't eat a lot of vegetables/fruits, I just can't go without A LOT of vegetables and at least 2 fruits(except apples, they make me hungry wut) per day!
  16. The weekend's coming up and I'm going to my mum's house for Easter, which means everywhere I look there's going to be sweets and kids(and some adults) will be running around with their mouths and fingers covered in chocolate. Luckily my awesome mother stocked up on salmon(my favourite) and I'm just gonna stuff my face with it in different ways(raw, grilled, cooked) and ignore the chocolate spree. To help me I'm using the Bet Switch Mechanism; I made a bet with a friend that with I slip(I'm allowed to eat non-paleo stuff but gluten is forbidden) I own him some dirty favors >_< Also, I promised myself a new watch!
  17. Thanks!! Oh, I can't wait! I plan to do HIIT after I'm done with the program though, but it'll be nice to be prepared for a race if it comes up. How lucky! I want to go to Canada someday. And I plan to start French after I'm comfortable with Spanish(it's similar to Portuguese), so I'm gonna bug you for help! Obrigada! É um programa muito bom, me tirou do sofá mesmo, haha!
  18. Yesterday I refused junk food repeatedly, I said no even to chocolate! I'd told these people I'm on a diet but they kept insisting. I bet (at least unconsciously) they wanted me to fail so they could feel better about themselves. Anyway, added my measurements cause I lost 3cm of waist! woohoo
  19. Thanks! *-* I can't do the hand stand Just the head stand! I never did the kick the floor thing, too much of a chicken, I used to get in the position of a half head stand beside of my bed(next to the headboard) then I'd put my feet on it sideways and get the legs up. Much easier and if I fell my legs would go on top of the mattress!
  20. I was so happy yesterday when I managed to do 1 body weight row! I can't wait to be able to do dips and pull ups! I also added reverse crunches and leg raises to the routine 1, I need more core strength to do the head stand.
  21. Will do! Also, I read your battle log and ended up checking out Duolingo (I wanna learn spanish) and it's really helping me! Thanks for the unintentional tip! My mom gets excited(and tries to join in) with just about anything I get myself into, she rarely follows through though However, she's really nagging me about cutting grains saying it's dangerous, so I'm trying to include her on my new lifestyle to see if she can be more rebellious lol Wow, I had no idea how things were over there with the troops still in Afghanistan, how terrible
  22. My diet log is at MyFitnessPal (current 1200kcal/day). Starting today, this week I'm following this 2 routines on alternate days. 23. Just read about the dangers of gluten and decided to slowly cut it from my diet. When I wasn't eating healthy I'd get a lot of stomach aches from gastritis, now the inflammation is cured but I still get an occasional stomach ache after meals so I'm hoping going gluten free will take care of that. Did any of you go gluten free (not celiacs) and notice improve on your health?
  24. @Synyster Thanks! I'm still struggling a bit trying to exclude grains from my diet (rice and beans are basically the country's main dish) because my family insists I'm gonna get anemic or something, but they'll leave me alone eventually! @terrormortus They are awesome! I'd have given up on running if it weren't for them, I just thought that if I hadn't run in 20 years it was never going to happen. But you made me curious about that zombie run, I'm going to check it out. @sumdawgtwigg Thank you! It's been going great, before I started I used to force myself to do a 1 hour walk everyday so when I found out about C25k I was really happy to cut all that effort to 20min 3x a week! When I'm finished I'm sort of going to start over because I want to coach my mom and I know she won't follow through if I don't do the first weeks with her. I hope you can power through it this time!
