  1. Hehe, the countdown thing is funny. Usually when something goes bad I just give it to the dog because i'm very anxious about that sort of thing. My boyfriend makes fun of it for me so when I'm only slightly in doubt I just feed it to him
  2. Holy shit that's cold! My dog would probably love it, she's a snow dog... but really that's very cold. Nice work, i can imagine it was tough on the shoulders. Are you going alone on friday?
  3. A hundred swings wow.. Don't think I've done a set that large in a while. Don't they hurt your back a bit?
  4. If someone (apfel, hinthint) takes up the task of organising this might actually happen Ofcourse everyone is welcome at my place- a big gym with a lot of kettlebells and other equipment- and a lot of floor space. Nature-wise my area is a bit flat, but kinda beautyfull- but there are better places. We've got a bouldering gym and other stuffs. Everyone would be more than welcome here and that'd be fun with lots of kettlebells- but I guess I might actually prefer going somewhere else if it isn't tooo soon from now. Still in the midst of school and family crisises. If there are kettlebells at the meet I'll definitely be up for teaching if people wanna learn!
  5. Cool! Hope this happens That's pretty awesome.. That'd be fun Though if we keep doing exercisy stuff it's not very nerdy maybe? hehe, it'll need some games or books or something. math? Glasses are very awesome I think? I'll take a picture when they're delivered!
  6. Haha, I'm willing to bet there is no one reading this who shouldn't Right Thanks for the tip! I'll put it on my wish list. Well, i was kinda supposed to be more mindful and walk a bit further or something like that. But sure, haha.
  7. Nice- that food list is impressive. Wish I could do something like that without going crazy! Though the lack of bacon must have made you at least a little bit craaazy You find split squats easier than normal ones?
  8. Glad you're already feeling better Kettlebell + yoga + book sounds awesome. What are you reading?
  9. Fingers crossed! Sounds like you still had a pretty productive day. It must be a confusing mixture of feelings- anxiety and excitement. Because dayum, that trip to Paris is starting to sound very very exciting! Book talking is _the_ best. I'll owe you if you give me a book tip for my boyfriend's birthday? After it was announced Sanderson was going to finish writing the series I read pretty much everything I could find, just like you. At first I thought he was quite perfect, but he does make some small mistakes and he can be a little annoying sometimes :X but still very very high up my favorites list! Did you read the newer one he wrote for young adults? Steelheart. It was nice and relaxing to read.
  10. Food is going very nicely for you! We both went shopping on our restday, haha.
  11. Wednesday 08-01, (day 3) Restday! I was a little sore, so not unwelcome. Took the long walk I had planned, but cheated just a little bit by combining it with shopping. Got some new training clothes, a sweater and new glasses. Tried to be conscious of my posture all day, mostly have to move my shoulders and head into the right position... but it's annoying how quickly you revert back to what's comfortable. Food for the day; 1890calories, 109gr of protein This is going pretty well. Mentally it's not so tough because I can eat w/e the f*ck I want to and that really helps me relax. And to be honest it's plenty of food, no need to be hungry at all. Let's hope it still 'works'
  12. It really should! No problem! Perfect opportunity indeed Let me know how it goes? Snatch is the most technical move of them all, curious to see your progress. Good question... I normally teach the swing and the clean first, then a basic (push)press.. round it out with some strength moves like a goblet squat/bend over row/lunges... and that's it! For sets and reps just take something basic, like 10 left arm, 10 right arm. or 1 minute left arm, 1 minute right arm. Couple of sets of that, strength moves in between (basic 3x5). If you came to train with me I'd test your shoulder on strength, mobility and stability before I'd go overhead- but that's pretty easy; stand in front of a mirror and check if you got your shoulder down, elbow fully flexed, thumb pointing slightly backwards. Then try a bottom's up hold- if you can do that (just hold, no need to press) then you're stable enough. Sorry, questions make me lengthy! Hope it helps.
  13. That is one epic cake topping! Will it be edible? Now I sorta want to get married.
  14. Not at all! Both slowmo video's I posted are of the snatch though. Is there a particular point of view you're looking for? -posted from my phone-
  15. The rain ghoul gets to me too.. And you know with the handstands, sometimes taking a break leads to a break through.
  16. Wow yea, the weight switching is really nice! That'll be one arm handstands etc? So what exactly is the difference between wraps and the show you did?
  17. Much better than prancing! (I was kidding anyway!) Seems pretty intense, damn.
  18. Haha, you've got this all sorted then! I'll try, I promise. I'll start with a little bit of private dancing (oeh that sounds exciting) and sometime this year go to a class.
  19. Haha, sorry! Fun+great workout is definitely a good description It's a 3,5 hour drive, but you should totally come play with me.
  20. Are you like, kind of, prancing? Impossible to understand how you miss DOMS though, nope, I don't get it at all!
  21. Sounds pretty good Probably smart not to test vertical yet.
  22. It's pretty cool you're reading Manvotionals, it's such a great blog, makes me curious about the book too! Oh and i'll take your word for it, good job o/
