I only planned for a short 15 minute walk in the sun, but I managed to get lost and have a nice 30 minute walk instead.

Wow, I haven't been on here for almost a month. I shall come clean. Apart from a weekend of hiking, I have completely quit the fitness thing until yesterday, when I started working out again. I have gained weight, lost any desire to exercise and ate like shit. But yesterday, I saw a picture of myself and realized what I was doing to my body. Additionally, I really struggled to keep up on my hiking weekend and felt really bad for having to keep stopping because I was so unfit. It ends now.

Welcome back! Sometimes, a real-life illustration of why fitness is important is all it takes. Don't be too hard on yourself, just jump back in.

Hey MS! Glad to see you didn't die!

2 days in and I'm already missing chocolate... oh well! Done some writing today but not really feeling it. I have so much exam revision to do!

Ok, yesterday, I did a fairly pathetic amoutn of cardio but I'm serious about this so I'll be making workout plans today. 2 days of cardio, 2 days of strength training. This ought to do it.

First run of the challenge completed. It only lasted 15 minutes so I think I'll do 5 minutes of Blogilates to fill the time...

I've certainly given chocolate and dessert a fond farewell for the next 6 weeks, by eating as much of it as I could.

I just had the weirdest experience. I was walking to the shops in the sunshine, and I had the sudden urge to run. Not to go for a nice jog, but to run as fast as I could for as long as I could, for no apparent reason. So run I did. It may be because I haven't done proper exercise since Tuesday but still, weird.

I've managed to injure my knee on that hike and it twinges pretty badly everytime I take a step, I figure it would be unwise to run with my knee like this, does anyone have any suggestions for what I could do instead of running that would be beneficial to 5k training?

Just got back from my 2 day hike. My legs are killing me and I have a blister the size of a marble on the side of my toe. Safe to say, lots of sleep tonight and I won't be walking tomorrow!

This 2 day hike that I'm doing this weekend will be great, although I won't be able to get my running training in. Oh well, if this doesn't build stamina, I don't know what will.
