Or even just fruit! It doesn't have to be a meal. -

That is correct. First monday every month, they have free pizza at dinner time. Second Tuesday, free bagels for breakfast. Insane. -
Because what kind of Watson would you be if you couldn't keep up with Sherlock on his mad dashes across London? I'm going to do a weekly battlelog instead of daily. April 1 - Treadmill at gym 3.5 for 40 minutes. Ignored pizza at door (thanks Planet Fitness. Jerk.) April 2 - Elliptical 30 minutes April 3 - None April 4 - Treadmill at gym. Walked 3.5 for 35 minutes and 4.8 for 5 minutes. Walk/jog alternating. April 5 - Treadmill at gym. Walked 3.5 for 33 minutes and 4.8 for 7 minutes. Walk/jog alternating. April 6 - Walking on the waterfront, 3 miles. April 7 - ARC trainer, 30 minutes. 5 minute cool down on treadmill. Goal this week: stretch more! You like it and it feels good. Why don't you take a few minutes to do it?

One does not simply walk into Mordor...

Ooh! I started this last year and stopped after the holidays. Is it too late to join? -
I just did my first 5K. It was ColorMeRad. I can't decide if I recommend it or not. It was quite fun and I felt like a kid doing it. However, the stupid grown up in me thinks that it is actually a little dangerous for people to be breathing in dyed cornstarch. My lungs felt like I had just left a smoky bar. If you do it, wear a mask. That works. Now I feel comfortable suggesting it.

Even though it's not popular to compliment anything in Episodes 1-3, I really liked his fight scene with Dooku. Mainly, it was the surprise factor. I wasn't expecting it at all. I have a Yoda poster next to all of my gym equipment. A "Do or Do Not. There is No Try." is a necessity in any gym, I think.

I've been following NF via emails for about 7 months now. I discovered the "Walking to Mordor" post and laughed the entire way through the post. I subscribed to the blog emails and have read them faithfully each week. After seeing yesterday's April Fools Joke (not funny, Steve...until today) I realized how heartbroken I was over the thought of losing this place. So I decided to register and actually start participating. Most definitely an Adventurer and am working on being able to sleep well so I can stay awake during the day. We'll move on to harder stuff later. I did a boot camp in January (holy cow) to help manage stress. It was nice in that I saw what I was capable of doing, but bad in that it was definitely more than my body was ready for. I went from work to class to couch to recover. Currently sticking with gym cardio choices and circuit training (Planet Fitness circuit) and it helps with sleep and stress. I'm almost ashamed to start one of the Battle Blogs until I'm doing something cooler. The people I read tonight are doing awesome. Anyways, that's what I'm here for. Wishing all of you health, wealth and happiness!

Not tried it but I did try the BodyMedia one. It counts steps when I'm driving (yikes!) and doesn't count things like biking or yoga. For walking and step aerobics, it was fine. Otherwise, not so much. If you lay down and watch tv, it counts it as sleep. Is there a way you can borrow one to test first? Good luck! If you get one, please let me know how it works!
