  1. I've been good this week about not eating out, but walking/lifting has been a struggle....but I've continued to take the stairs (4-6 trips/day) and have been doing intervals on the elliptical....so that's a plus.
  2. Thanks guys! It was disheartening to think I could slip so easily....multiple weeks in a row....but like yall say (and Thomas Edison) I didn't fail....just found another way that didn't work. So....tune for this week is to mix it up....guessing a couple weeks of having the same stuff over and over kinda wore on me (funny how that doesn't seem to happen at fast food places, eh?). So, I've started reading Primal cookbooks to get ideas of how to make simple meals. Tried a new type of meat yesterday (Bison)....had a Bison & egg burger (with lettuce bun), but the jalepenos I put on it over powered it, so didn't get a good taste of Bison....so making a Bison Chili tonight....should be a better indicator if it's something I'll like (and if not, I'll still have a couple days worth of chili to eat to change my mind....lol). Monday Walking....subbing 30 min on the elliptical (Dr. wanted more cardio...) /check Eating out 0....home cooked meals 1..../check Tuesday Walking...../check (same as monday, but in intervals this time 30 sec slow, 30 sec medium, 30 sec fast) Eating out still 0....home cooked meals 2 didn't make it to the gym
  3. Week 4 update Eating out - Major F.....I failed horribly this week Walking - 4/5 B Weight Lifting - F Savings - B
  4. Thanks for the feedback...i was kinda thinking the same thing. Been a bit busy, so let me try to catch up my posting Week 3 walking - A saving - A (so far) weight lifting - b eating out - D monday walking.../check ate out for supper stair are little easier at work, but still getting winded tuesday walking /check ate out for lunch didn't make it to the gym for weights
  5. Sounds like our fearless leader is doing awesome!!!!
  6. I really gotta commend you on the rowing Ems...before I joined the rebellion, I saw one of the main characters in Netflix's House of Cards series rowing, and thought to myself...."That doesn't look too hard...", and so I got a rower and tried it out and boy was I surprised....It starts off easy enough, but I honestly can't last more than a couple minutes at a time without a break....so when I read about your rowing, I see someone doing amazing things!!! Keep up the good work!
  7. Day 18 (The rest of it) Got my walk in.....but ate out twice (breakfast and supper). Stairs at work are still killing my legs, to be expected I guess. Went and saw my Dr. to establish care with him...everything was good except my weight of course (I was surprised with my BP being normal considering my weight gain the past 10 months....suppose I'll attribute that to walking x5/week and cutting way back on eating out). His recommendations....Eat more protein, less carbs, keep portion size down, cardio, cardio, cardio, and not worry so much about weight lifting. Not sure what to think about that....any thoughts? I know at some point I'll need to up the ante on cardio....just seems like I run out of daylight with what I'm already doing... Day 19 Taking a rest day....went to go see Iron man 3 this morning (pretty dang full considering it was a late morning show)....thought it had a great storyline.....not as much action as I expected, but still a decent amount of explosions Time to get going on planning meals for the next week.
  8. Yeah....it was weird, Tuesday flat out sucked....but I pushed through it. Yesterday seemed almost like I had springs in my legs (except for going up the stairs at work and when I first get moving from sitting for a long time). Then today, I woke up early to do my weight workout (I like doing it first in the morning vs. at night), I went to do squats and something else weird happened....I started to go through a "getting ready" ritual for squats that I use to do in my younger days of weightlifting...didn't really hit me until I had the weight on my back....but it kinda made me smile!!! Perhaps the sleeping lifter is waking While I'm at it, might as well post that workout: DB clean/press: 3x8 (40lbs db) Deadlift: 3x8 (125lbs) squats: 3x8 (85 lbs) --> I could tell I went down the right amount today as well....think I was cutting it alittle short the previous days single db row: 3x10 (55lbs)

    Blaze Reboot

Sounds like you're doing pretty good then, eh? Improvements across the board!
  10. Changing it up can be a good thing....keeps things interesting. Proper form trumps everything IMO.....hope ya have a good week!
  11. Probably alittle late on this one....2nd week was half good, half junk.....but third week is rockin'!
  12. Sounds like you're rockin' right along Budgeting will come along....just takes practice and time to figure out what works for you.
  13. Great day today...achieved all my work goals, walked for an hr, no eating out.
