  1. Never be satisfied. Always strive to improve no matter how good you think you are.

  2. Wow, what a story! Im sorry you had to go through all of that with your doctors. But I'm glad they found out what was up. It's good that you are taking control of the situation! I hope you reach your goals! And I am here if you need any support
  3. Haha oh yes. Thats how my bed felt this morning. I had to peel myself out of it. Im a night owl.I dont know what it is but I just love staying up. The mornings and I, we really aren't the greatest of friends. At all.
  4. Haha yes, i was up!! Thanks for checking up, I don't want to disappoint!! Whoever invented the snooze button, is he most awesome and worst person at the same time!! Thanks, it sure is q lot of information to absorb. I'm a little worried! I hope everything is going well with you! Thank you!! Hope yours is kicking ass!
  5. Oh yea definitely. And then you are annihilated the rest of the day. But I find it waaaay easier to wake up early in the spring and especially summer, rather than the winter when I just want to stay in bed. So better to build those good habits now I guess, haha.
  6. Glad to hear everyones first days went well!!
  7. Hahah niccceeee! Are you using that Zombies, Run! app? Ive been wanting to try that! It sounds SOOO cool. Have you heard of the obstacle race "Run For Your Lives"? If not, google it and check it out! Im totally doing it.
  8. Hey how did everyon'es first day go? I hope it was good!! It's helps to know that a ton of us are all working towards something for these 6 weeks. When you are on the verge of possibly slipping up, you think about all the other people who are working their butts off, and it really motivates you and helps you stay strong. So anyway, hope everyone is truckin away!!
  9. Thats is AWESOME! You go girl! Definitely inspiring to read your success on your first day! You arent messing around! I bet you feel awesome, as you should!!
  10. Haha today was rough, but Im sure it will get better! Yes, it is an awful lot. After I did my post, I thought to myself...hmmm, I may be over shooting. But Im a cold turkey kind of person. I do way better that way. I like jumping right in, it gives me way more structure, which is something I need. And thank you!
  11. Thanks everyone! I appreciateit! Yea I didn't know if I was supposed to get so specific with the grading, I tried to read some other posts to get a feel on how to do this!
  12. Go to the "6 Week Challenge" tab at the top of this page, and click on "Rules and FAQ". Then click "Challenge Instructions". It has a link under Instruction #3 to signup for the challenge. And then there is a link under instuction #4 that will open a webpage that looks like an Excel file. At the bottom you will see tabs, click on the Adventurer one, and you will see the different squad names, and then you can just add your username to the list to sign up with that squad. Hope this helps!
  13. Heyoooh! I joined this group! Im excited and ready to hulk smash some zombies!!
  14. Hellllllllloooooo! Oh I can't explain how excited I am to do this challenge. It's going to be fun!! I hope I do this right. These next few weeks are going to be super busy! Ok, so here goes: 1st Goal: Run the whole trail by my house without stopping. (Approx 3 miles) -This trail has a couple hills and one HUGE hill that I like to call "The Hill from Hell". Which I soon hope to call Mt. Victory. Its actually not too bad, its about 1/2 of the way in, but I purposely run the trail so I HAVE to go up it, and I've only been able to make it to the top of the hill (when I was in better shape than I am now) and I really want to be able to keep going and complete the entire thing! Game plan: Time myself on how long/far I can go without stopping. The next time I run, I will go for a minute longer than the last time. Realistically Ill be running every other day, however I would love to do it every day. Grading: A - Completing 100% of the trail B - Completing 80% (3/4 of the trail) C - Making it to the top of Hill from Hell and stopping D - Making it only to the bottom of the hill F - Not even making it to the trail (I run to it from my house) Points: STA - 3pts Goal #2: Wake Up Early to Work Out and get sh*t done! -4:30/5:00am sounds about right. I absolutely HAVE to do this. Getting a workout in before the day starts definitely helps to make healthier choices throughout the day. Also, I'm starting a new job the same day as the challenge starts, which I have to take 2 tests for that require A LOT of study time (plus I waitress on the side). So getting my workout in early, will leave me less stressed out after work when I have to study This means I have to get to bed at a decent time too! OH MAN. I feel like I hopped into a delorean and went back in time to elementary school. I will now have a bedtime, haha. Plan: to NOT hit the snooze button AT ALL. Get right up and get to it. I plan to log what time I wakeup everyday. Grading: A - Waking up earling every weekday to workout (Yes, every weekday. Waking up that early....man...gotta get the body used to it!) PLUS weekends. (Weekends I will give myself a little bit more time, the latest 7am) If people in bootcamp can do it, then why cant I. B - Waking up early every other day C - Waking up early on 3 times a week Im skipping letter D F - Sucking and hitting the snooze button 5 million times and not waking up at all. Points: STA - 2pts CON - 1pts Goal #3: Follow the Paleo diet. -After reading all of the success stories and seeing how much of a tranformation your body goes through, and also reading about the effed up things these processed foods do to your body, I'm totally on board. I plan to stick to this entirely. I dont want to give myself any cheat days or do 80/20. Im just going to go balls to the wall with it for 6 weeks because I want to make a habit of it. And I think I read that it takes awhile for your body to adjust and stop craving grains and such. I guess its like a detox/withdrawl type thing your body goes through, I don't know. Plan: Resist temptation. And PREPARE PREPARE PREPARE! I HAVE to plan my meals ahead for this. And keep a food log. Tell family and friends. Grading: A - Stick to it completely Skipping B C - Screwing up on the weekends Skipping D F - Sticking to it for a week and then caving in Points: CON - 4 pts Goal #4: Pass the Series 6 -As I mentioned above, I start a new job on the 15th. I have to pass 2 tests to get licensed to be able to do my job. The first one I take (The series 6) I heard was really difficult. I received the study material and I'm going to have to put in TONS of study time. I have no prior experience or education in the field (investments/financial stuff) so it's going to take me longer to grasp it. I think you have 2 chances to pass, but if I can get it right the first time...that would be AWESOMMMMME. I'm really nervous. But I think it will be ok. Plan: STUDY STUDY STUDY Grading: Ok there are obviously only 2 gradings Im using for this. A - PASS (which means I made good use of my study time) F - FAIL (which means I suck) Points: WIS - 5 pts Small goals: Quit drinking diet coke! Preparing work clothes, workout clothes, food, everything the night before Ok so thats that! I hope I did this post right! Good luck to everyone, this should be FUNNNNN! In closing, I will use the wise words of Charlie Day (Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia, for those of you who dont know) "I'm gonna rise up, I'm gonna kick a little ass, Gonna kick some ass in the USA, Gonna climb a mountain, Gonna sew a flag, Gonna fly on an Eagle, I'm gonna kick some butt, I'm gonna drive a big truck, I'm gonna rule this world, Gonna kick some ass, Gonna rise up, Kick a little ass, ROCK, FLAG AND EAGLE!!!!!" Yes.

Haha I was thinking the same thing as I was typing it! Thanks! Can't wait to get back into action!

  19. WOWWWW! You survived that, eh!? Youre like some kind of superhuman! I'm glad that you are ok. That looks insane and def looks like its a total rush! 6'5 is a very nice height! Was there anything in particular that made you want to make a change in your life? Its good you got the drinking out of your system. It def isnt all its cracked up to be. And you should be proud of yourself for working and going to school, that can be really tough and stressful, and hard to find time for anything else. You sound wise beyond your years! College really does set you up for the rest of your life. Its not so much about the classes you take, but all of the things you experience while going through it that teach you a lot about life. Yea the driver def gave me a hard time, with good reason, but I didnt know anything about it and I was scared. I cant wait to get one of my own though! Those pictures you shared are so cool! Thanks for sharing them!! And congrats on all you have achieved so far! Youre def inspiring me!
  20. Wow 300 lbs since you started college!? Thats freaking AWESOME! College is what made me want to lose weight too. But when 21 hit, it was a whole other story. Alcohol can pack it on like no other. And thats even more added peer pressure. If it wasn't enough for what youre eating, now its for what youre drinking, or NOT drinking. Happy belated birthday by the way! Stay strong with all of that, hearing your story, no doubt you will!! Ive been wanting to get a motorcycle for awhile now. Last time I was on one though, I leaned the opposite way cause I was scared, which I guess was a huge no no. Are you racing straight motorcylces, or motocross stuff? Sorry if thats a dumb question, I dont know much about it at all. Except for that my cousins and uncle ride motocross.
  21. Hi T.C.!! Great to meet you, Im Chelsi! You look AWESOME!! Keep up the good work, youre an inspiration Stick to you goals! I know how many temptations college can have Far too many, haha!
  22. Such an awesome story that you have! Inspirational for sure. I've always wanted to do a Tough Mudder, they look like so much fun! Kudos to you for signing up! That is freaking awesome as hell!
  23. I love a man in work boots and who has scruff! Also what is sexy is a man who sticks to his morals/convictions no matter what! A man who can be sensitive but kick someones ass in a heartbeat! And knows how to use a tool!!
  24. Hey! That is sure a lot of stuff to go through in life. You should be glad that you realize all this. Some people go through life and make excuses for everything. I bet the majority of people would have taken your situation a lot worse. I'm new to this and am looking for motivational buddies, so if you need anything, send a message my way! I'm sorry that you have had to deal with all of that. Nice to meet you!
