  1. 100 floors - it's one of those puzzle games where you have to figure out what the puzzle is first before you can solve it... And there are so many levels that it gets way to easy to say "well, just one more!"
  2. Holy monkies, my nerds. This week has been CRAZY! Things have just ramped up about a million at work, so I haven't been able to check in as often as usual. I'm glad to see everyone is doing better than me. Week 3 / Days 1 & 2 Status: Mission 1 Strong (0/5): Blah. I was out and about between work and a board meeting for over 15 hours yesterday. And the tile estimate that we were looking forward to came in at almost 3x what we were expecting. Not the best day. Monday was just chaos. No planning, over sleeping, and general crappiness. :-/ Mission 2 Healthy (0 meals): Pretty good so far on this one. Even though I was running around like a crazy person, I managed to sneak in dinner at home and brought lunch/breakfast/snacks. Mission 3 Good Behavior (3/14): Totally slacked on the bedtime routine yesterday. Supplemental Sleep (1 points): Enter why my week has gone rough. Day 1 I was up late, but was forced to get up early for the busy day. Day 2 I again stayed up late (I need to uninstall the new game I put on my phone, apparently) and SURPRISE! Completely slept through my alarm. I'm beginning to think that blackout shades made this challenge harder than I expected...
  3. Yeah, I know it's silly, but we've had a spat of women getting grabbed at/assaulted in the areas around my neighborhood (not actually in my neighborhood, but near-ish), so I'm a little on the paranoid side... I don't mind running at dawn, but it's currently dark dark when I would need to run and my neighborhood doesn't really have streetlights (which, aside from running, I consider a huge bonus). I've talked to my boss man and I think we're going to work it out so that I can come in super early and leave early afternoon-ish so that I can get in my workout before hubby gets home. Hopefully that will help! I'm honestly pretty excited. I haven't done an organized race in over a year and I kinda miss it.
  4. LOL! Step away for a day and we're soft feather stroking boobies. Love it.

Oh no! I hope the flight was ok and you're able to enjoy France a little bit.
  6. Man, LT! You are rocking this challenge. Glad to hear you're still managing to get everything with your busy schedule.
  7. Sounds like things are going well for you! I second Starpuck - I think Crossfit is great, but just listen to your body and quit when quitting is due. The horror stories of people doing too much of a good thing just make me sad... And good luck figuring out the cooking thing! My husband isn't COMPLETELY anti leftovers - he'll eat dinner for lunch the next day, but beyond that, he's pretty picky about them. It has to be one of his favorites for him to eat more than twice in a week. Hopefully you'll be able to reach some kind of compromise...
  8. Yay swimming and yay lifting! Way to get Week 3 started strong.
  9. I say high five on week 2. And yes, this challenge seems to be flying. Also love the look for Ren Faire! Super cute.
  10. Sounds like a pretty solid case of damage control. Glad to hear you are feeling better and I love your plan for getting back to it. Keep it up!
  11. I know week 2 may not have been ideal, but you made big progress on one of your goals with the Drivers Ed class! And YAY about boot camp! That's awesome that you've found a job you love.
  12. Woot! I love that your ultimate goal is already starting to shine through. That your girls are wanting to get out and exercise with you is AWESOME! And yay tough mudder! That will be fun.
  13. Great job on week 3! I second the dancing recommendation as an option... and maybe some form of martial arts? A boxing class or kick boxing or something might be fun as well. And I'm pretty sure (based on the dancing lessons I've been to), the only people who don't look really awkward are the instructors. So just go for it and have fun!
  14. Week 2 Summary: Another week done, another week of "eh" towards the end. I feel like I'm making some progress, it's just not necessarily aligned with my goals. However, I did agree to sign up for a 5k with my sister for Thanksgiving morning. She wants to run together. She ran cross country in college. I know she's not in that shape any longer, but I laughed. Loud, and long, and hard. Her "slow" pace is my "oh-my-god-my-lungs-are-imploding" pace. We'll see how it goes. I'm considering it a challenge. Mission 1 Strong (3/5): After starting strong, things just fizzled. A lot of errand running and meeting with contractors conflicted with the times I had open for running. And it's super dark early in the morning, so I'm not sure I'm comfortable running early at this point... Bummer. I did get in one more run, at least. Mission 2 Healthy (1 meals): We managed not to eat out breakfast, but my parents were down visiting my grandparents, so we decided to all get lunch together. We ended up at all you can eat shrimp... It was awesome. Mission 3 Good Behavior (12/14): Man, my tracking has gotten terrible with this particular challenge. I really need to step up my game. Conservative estimate? 12. I did keep up much better over the weekend. Supplemental Sleep (12 points): This week was the opposite of last week... I was up on time, but stayed up with my phone past bedtime a couple of times this week.
  15. LIFE!! <shakes fist> To be honest. I need to stop letting life be such an excuse... :-/ It started out pretty well! I still need to improve on the follow-thru, though. Thanks Laurel! I just need to stay focused. Status to come, week 2 was catagorically, ok. But I'm ok with it.
  16. Man. I adopted an obedience spaz. Love the girl, but she's just slow. Glad you got a good one!
  17. Honestly, it sounds like a good week, MLP. I know it wasn't your best, but stick with it and you'll keep seeing good results. Also, woot on that trail run time!

I hope you had fun at the yoga fundraiser. And good luck getting back on track before yet another work trip. I know you can do it!
  19. Oh noes! I'm glad you had a good weekend up until the stomach bug. Hopefully you'll be back at it soon.
  20. Great job on the week! The fort is looking FANTASTIC! And the workouts sound pretty awesome. Go week 3!
  21. I hope you finished strong on week 2! Let's beat the week 3 slump, yes?
  22. Sounds like you are still well on track! I hope your R&R weekend was lovely. Sounds like you still had a bunch of plans regardless!
  23. Week 2 / Day 4 Status: The problem with planning afternoon workouts is that your day can derail them. As happened today. Husband got stuck at work, so I was on dog duty until pretty late. I considered still going for my run, but it was well into the dinner hour and I was about to pass out from lack of blood sugar. Today will be a double. Mission 1 Strong (2/5): Workout missed. Mission 2 Healthy (0 meals): Still nothing for the week! We've talked about going out for breakfast this weekend, but we have meals planned and ready to go for dinner/lunch, so we should stay mostly on track. Mission 3 Good Behavior (8/14): Did both routines. Supplemental Sleep (7 points): In bed just under the wire... was planning to wake up early to squeeze in the run I missed yesterday, but it was 40deg and rainy. Opted to sleep another 30 minutes instead. Totally worth it (and still up by the deadline).
  24. Sounds like you just needed a rest day. Get on it today, though!
