  1. Nice! My first challenge started last April, too, so when this one is completed, it will be our one year anniversary at NF. How time flies! Let's finish up this year strong.
  2. Love the new hair! Congrats on completing another challenge. Yay.
  3. Gotcha! You had posted earlier in your log that you were doing same weight 105# on leg extension and press. The reason that I mention it is because I am trying to find my own levels on the machines and was corrected to adjust my leg press weight. I was just doing BW for the press, but my trainer had me adjust up so now I am doing BW + 70 pounds. I am doing a little over 1/2 BW on the extension machine as a comparison.
  4. I like your goal of 1,000 miles for the year. That way you focus on the big picture and don't get hung up on missing a day here or there. Keep up the great work and great attitude.
  5. Thanks for sharing the 21 day sugar detox list. That's a tough one. It really is in EVERYTHING! I didn't think I consumed that much sugar until reading some of the forums here. I generally look at most labels, but would never even think to look for sugar on the bacon label. Thought I was buying a healthy, organic, nitrate-free, and pricier bacon only to find sure enough, sugar! Good luck to you!
  6. Simply amazing! Great progress. What are you doing for leg press? You are very strong so no offense intended here but ... if you can do 105 with leg extensions, seems like you can do a lot more with leg press, maybe double? That is if we are thinking of the same exercise machine.
  7. Your DIY gym is the BEST. It's very creative and fun. Did you ever read "Confederacy of Dunces?" It's one of my favorite books and one of funniest that I have ever read.   8. Love your spontaneous exercise idea! That's a great one to incorporate into day-to-day life. I used to do something similar in the summer when mowing the lawn, ten burpees for each time I had to stop to dump out the bag. That amounted to 70- 90 burpees/mow.
  9. Egg muffins are one of my favorite make-ahead breakfast dishes. So many varieties to try that it never gets boring. I have mostly eliminated cheese from my diet but I will use it like a "spice" and I am finding that just a little bit adds A LOT of flavor. 1. ground beef, kalmata olives, roasted pepper, feta 2. canned tuna, scallions, swiss cheese, spinach 3. shredded chicken, cumin, curry, turmeric, mushrooms 4. bacon, petite diced tomatoes, kale 5. salmon, garlic, peas, parmesan
  10. Sorry, I lost track of you with the rollover to this next challenge so just getting caught up. Whatever comes your way, you sure to do have the best attitude!

  12. I hope you do get started today. It is too easy to set arbitrary beginning markers like the first of the year/month, Monday, tomorrow! Get moving today even if it is a baby step. You will feel better for it.
