  1. I was afraid that patience would be the answer. Thanks for the help. Any links you all could post of workouts that you feel are working for you. This week ends my current six week cycle, so I am looking for a new cycle. Ideas?
  2. Hello, So here is the deal. I am in need of some ideas for a miracle "Lose that stubborn belly fat!" workout. I have a few extra pounds around the midsection that if I can just cut away, I think I will be where I want to be. I know that my request is pretty unrealistic, and if I just keep going with the stuff I have been doing, things will work out for me. BUT I"M SOOO IMPATIENT!! If anyone has some tips or pointers on melting the last few pounds, I would really love it. If not, i understand. Comments and Come to Jesus talks are welcome too.
  3. Kids are driving me crazy today. Can we just start the summer vacation already? We all have started it mentally already.

Won't prolonged exposure to kids drive your further down the road to insanity? ;)

  4. I think that looking back at the glory days of what we used to way isn't realistic. I wrestled in high school and weighed about 160. That was only 4 years ago. I got all the way up to 220. I am back down to about 200. As much as I like to say I want to weigh 160 again, I don't think it is likely. In only the four years my body has changed a lot. I am broader, I have put on more muscle, I have morphed. Taking that all into consideration, I start to realize that I'm not that far off of where I really want to be. Call it 160 2.0 or something, but it is my ideal weight that I have pictured in my head but in a new and improved version.
  5. I like to wear compression shorts over my boxer briefs. I always liked having the added compression when I was wrestling, and it has kind of just carried through to today. Underarmour have good compression shorts. Also starter has some compression shorts that are more lightweight so I use those during the summer heat.

    Con-Cret

I have heard a lot of people that have had issues with bloat when they take other creatines. I guess I just dont know enough about creatine. My brother is really my knowledge base and he says that he has tried some that want you to do a creatine cycle. for the best benefits, whereas with the con-cret, he hasn't even needed to cycle. If someone has better information on creatine, I'd love to hear it.

    Con-Cret

I am thinking about trying Con-cret creatine. Has anyone else used it. I have read that this one is better because it doesn't require a "loading" cycle, and there aren't any adverse effects if you just stop taking it. Any thoughts?
  8. I got a sample of assault when i bought protein from bodybuilding.com, and I tried it. I didn't really even feel like it did anything for me. Which is weird since I never use a pre-workout. I thought that it would boost me like mad. Nope. Nothing. It is interesting to me that it didn't do anything for me, but it did all sorts of things to you.
  9. Not fitness related, but I am listening to some killer Bluegrass music right now. If you don't like Bluegrass, you are wrong. Thats all there is to it. Get on it folks.

  11. My legs are destroyed. Friday was legs day and I am dying today with a very grim future when it comes to recovering. I must have done something right during my workout.

  12. I prefer fasted working out too, because then I don't feel so heavy. But, I have been known to have some soy protein. I will say that I don't like having anything pre workout, but every so often I need a pick me up. It all depends on you and your body. No one answer is correct. Other things i have done for pre workout. Spoonful of almond butter. Banana. A small handful of (dark) chocolate chips.
  13. Welcome to the rebellion sir! It seems like you have some of the same struggles I have. My advice is to just try to forget about any negative feelings toward fitness and focus all of your strength on the positives. You are closer to your goals today than you were yesterday right? Celebrate that! Good luck in your endeavors sir.
  14. Funny. Allergies are nothing to mess with. I happen to be allergic to food. Everything i eat makes me swell up. It is awful. Awareness is the first step to recovery though. Congrats on the weight loss brother.
  15. Must be nice! But seriously, congrats man! That is incredible. Keep it up.
  16. Today is the firast day looking at myself in the mirror between sets that I could see the results my dedication has allotted me. Getting thinner and bigger. Works for me.

Yeah. Non visual results are rough, but it is all about sticking with it. I think that the visual results are more apparent to other people than they are to us. I have had a lot of people say that they are seeing a change in my appearance, but until today i sort of took it with a grain of salt. Keep at it! I promise it will pay off!

  18. I thought people might enjoy it. It takes a while to watch, but it is totally worth every minute!
  19. Hello friends! I am currently on the market for a new protein shake. I have really enjoyed Optimum Nutrition's Gold Standard, but I don't really enjoy the price as much. I am just curious to see if there is any other brand that is super awesome both in result output, and price? I would love to hear what others feel about this situation.
  20. I too was upset when Goku lost. But I find solace in what they say, "Goku is the man who always finds a way to push past limits, but Superman has no limits." One problem I had with the video is neither one of them would allow the world to be destroyed, yet there it was in the video getting destroyed.
  21. I found it! I found the most epic video known to man! Shout it from the mountains! SUPERMAN VS. GOKU!!!! Watch this video!
  22. I just go with what my body is telling me. I rest when I need it. Sometimes I trick my body into thinking it rested. I usually work out in the morning. Sometimes I will sleep in and work out at night instead, and it makes me feel like I have rested. I think my legit rest times don't come enough(as per the normal societal rests), because of my background in wrestling where we would train ourselves to be able to fight through the typical exertion levels. We had to be able to continue to perform even when we were super tired. We practiced for 2-3 hours everyday, and then had tournaments on Fri-Sat. Sunday was typically our only day off, but we were still encouraged to go running or something. Go with what your body tells you.
  23. Bodybuilding.com has a lot of workouts specifically designed for getting bigger.
  24. Destroyed my traps yesterday. If I start to cry, disregard my tears. I might get over it.
