  1. Well, it's been a bit since I update. Mostly, things are going well. Woke up today at 300.8 lbs, so almost back under 300 I haven't been walking every day, but quite a few of them. Actually missing when I don't walk. PT has been going well. I had an appointment with PT, and she is happy with progress. I even walked over there and back I got 3 more exercises to do, and bow are they tough. Woke up today with some doms haha. Back is much better. Didn't mess it up more by bowling. Was just a little sore. Then Thursday, I bowled with no issue, and we bowled 3 games of pre-bowling. So 6 total games, and no back problems. I'm not getting down on myself for missing walking days. It's been raining here lately too, and I don't know where my umbrella went. The rain I don't care about so much, just hard to play pokemon go in the rain haha. Now for the real downer. My oldest son tested positive for covid last night. I tested negative still, but who knows if I am just delayed. We went to watch the Barracuda hockey game. My wife was up on the big screen doing the jersey scramble game Sunday we didn't do anything, and Monday was the normal take the youngest to school. Tuesday my oldest started having a cough. Wednesday it seemed worst, so he tested. I sat right next to him at the game, and he usually comes with me to pick up the youngest kid, and we play pokemon go. Hopefully, I don't catch it. I am the last one in the household now haha. I guess I won't stress about getting walks in and such. Wife and I went to get a few groceries, and we masked up for it. Skipping bowling tonight as well. Christmas eve, we usually go looking at lights, so hopefully my oldest tests negative by then. I decided not to worry about being strict keto for Christmas dinner, and left overs the next few days. I've also told myself that this doesn't mean I get to open the floodgates and eat all the things. Been pretty happy this challenge with how things have mostly gone. Nothing is perfect, but it doesn't have to be either Two things I have noticed lately, I have really started to want to run again, and doing the PT has been making me want to lift weights again. Too bad the entire world will be in the gyms next month haha
  2. Don't recall having broccoli on pizza, but it's a way to eat it I did make myself a cheese crust pizza the other day with green olives. Was pretty decent
  3. Yeah, We went to a hockey game this weekend. Tuesday my oldest was feeling sick, and tested positive on Wednesday. I was right next to him the whole night, so who knows were he got it. Now I have to see if I come down with something.
  4. Back still sore. Though better I think. Just did some small walking to get mail/packages, and get stuff from the car when the wife got home. Did not do PT again. I think I could probably do 2 of the 3 movements, I just didn't try. Hung around in bed a bit extra. Fitbit though I was in bed till 11:30 in the morning haha. I did get some better sleep, though I have struggled a little getting to sleep lately. Tomorrow, I have a match club meeting (traveling bowling league basically) I haven't attended all year, and they are having the yearly meeting. For fun bowling tournament. It's probably real dumb, but I am goiung to try to bowl. If pain is a issue, I will just stop. Off to go read, then sleep!
  5. Well, the PT and walking streak ends at 4 days in a row. Bowling last night, and tweaked my back a bit. It was hurting last night, and this morning it still does. I tried to stretch for PT, but that hurt too. I can walk around, but there is random pain. So rest day it is. Last nights sleep was actually ok, though I got to bed a bit later Been gaining weight this week too, so going to have to watch that. It's been nice getting in the walks. Hopefully, one rest day will be all I need
  6. Yesterday's number I got to bed on time, but really didn't sleep till like 1:30. Just kept tossing and turning.
  7. Got in PT this morning, walked two routes in Pokemon Go, and even caught a shiny Tracked all my things still too. 100% feeling I need more sleep haha Off to read now, and maybe get myself to bed a touch earlier
  8. Read a bit later, so bed time was closer to midnight. I am feeling tired in the morning, so clearly, I could use more sleep. PT done when I got up. First stretch hurt a bit, but I pushed, then finished up everything else. Dropped off the youngest at school, and walked when I got home. There was a new feature in Pokemon Go, so I followed the route, then was interacting with that at the end, before walking back home. So there was a pause. The walk felt fine overall. I could probably push a little more, but we will see after a few days. If I am recovering ok, then I'll probably start to push more.
  9. My sleep and Walk. Sleep I went to bed a little later.
  10. Hey All, it's been a minute haha. In my time away, I really tried changing my mindset a bit. (Not being doom and gloom if I make a mistake or whatnot) I decided it was my phase 1, and just just trying to focus one getting a few habits set. I can spoiler what I was doing for phase 1 to say anyone reading haha The start of Phase 1 At some point early this year, my shoulder got messed up. Frozen shoulder is what they are calling it. I didn't have it checked until recently. I have some PT to do for it, and that is going to be part of my phase 2. Phase 1 has been rolling well enough, that it is time to add in some movement portions. Phase 2 goals #1 - Do PT every morning PT for my shoulder is 3 things at the moment. More to be added next visit in a couple of weeks I had been very bad about getting them done until more recently. I feel like I am doing well with it now, but want to make sure I get it in each morning. I find it is easier for me to get it done right after I wake up. Eventually I will get more movements. I eventually hope this also helps get me into doing body weight exercises and/or going to out apartment complex gym haha #2 - All the walking! I've really, really, really been thinking about running again. I don't quite feel like I am ready for c25k yet though. In the past, I have done it as this weight. I feel like I should get use to walking first, before I run. I've started up this last couple of weeks. At least getting in a walk every now and then. Wasn't super consistent. I want to be better at it. I have tested myself with a bit more walking to see what might be a comfortable distance/time. I play pokemon go while walking around. the 15 minute daily incense is a good minimum. I walked 2 miles today with just a couple of pauses, and my feet are a bit sore. I feel like 30 minutes wasn't bad. This first week, I want to focus on the 15 to 30 minute time frame. I have a route to follow in pokemon go that is about 30 minutes, so that helps. Once I feel like I am doing well here, I might just start up c25k again. I am creeping into getting below 300lbs again, so this will help even more haha. #3 - Getting better sleep This has always been something I work on. It is just too easy for me to stay up late. With more movement, I will really, really need more recovery time. I have been playing Pokemon Sleep, as well. I have alarms set for time to read, and time to go to bed. Bed time comes at 11:30pm, but that gets very close to 11:45-50. Eventually, I might want to move up going to bed time and such. That is pretty much it. I haven't taken body measurements in awhile. I have taken a few pictures at least. Then scale weight has been done. 306 today. No real grading too. It's just been the mindset I have had lately. It's ok to make a mistake. I'm more focused on getting these established as a habit. Challenges for me will of course be things like Christmas. I've already decided that I will be fine eating what we normally make, and leftovers. I can get back to keto after that. I want to still not go super crazy, no "I have to eat all the things since I am not on diet!" I had told my wife I want to still try to track what I am eating, so I want to measure some things out like potato salad. Then I can have an idea. Will be curious to see how my blood sugar numbers react as well too. Anyhow, good luck all!
  11. Was in Costco yesterday, they have an aisle of Christmas stuff up Hopefully you have been getting all the good sleep!
  12. There is a guy I have watched on youtube. Most does keto stuff, but he uses cgm stuff. I think he was using levels. He might have switched to a different one. One thing I do recall him saying, was every now and then he would get a sensor that was just off. Reading like 30 points different then the one he just had on etc. So, maybe the one you got was one that just runs higher for whatever reason. And just for something different, pokemon cat haha
  13. Hopefully spoons return. Welcome back. I am a week late, but should get a something posted up too haha
  14. Wife is home from the hospital. It's certainly been a couple of days haha. She is doing mostly well, Having pain issues still. One Oxy ever 4-6 plus one more if she needs, plus some Tylenol every 8 hours. So far, she has been needing the extra oxy. Though it is only the 2nd day after knee replacement, so I expect she shall be in some pain for a bit. Overall though, I fell she is doing better then expected. PT guy came today to have her do some extra work as well. Heat here has been making me not feel all that well. Don't even think it is that hot, but I just feel like I am not handling it well. Sister in law heads back home tomorrow morning. Will see how this next week goes Challenge wise, not much is really happening. It is what it is. haha
  15. I can not even imagine if they told your father it wasn't fixable, and you had to move. We still here for you. Even if no challenge, let's talk something else.
  16. Things have been ok. Eating too much, check. Going to bed at 2am check haha. I did however track the last few days, even if I was over. I did get out and get another walk in at least. Nothing super special on the Pokemon Go Incense though I did walk faster, but starting getting shins pains. Tried to slow down a bit, but I was still kinda feeling the mood to walk. Plus, I was very annoyed at some people out walking, and decided getting in a higher gear to get around them was better to do haha. Of course, people coming the other way feel like they have to take the entire sidewalk instead of going single file to let someone by. One day, maybe I won't step off and let them feel what happens when you run into a big person haha. Naw, I wouldn't be aggressive like that. Just pisses me off when people have no care. Had a bit of some bad mental juju pop up a bit ago. The whispers are still hanging around in the brain space, but I'm coming here to visit people to help with that a bit. Last couple of days I have been trying to think of a way to get me really to refocus on my health, and what I want to do. I just keep seeming to do the same thing over and over thinking it will work this time. It's why I might even try to go keto again. Even if restrictive, it's a set of rules I have to follow. Main reason would be to try to get my blood sugars into a good range. I just know I will want things. Maybe, I can deal with it, and devise a better plan to combine world of eating. It made me think Keto, but with fruit haha. Big problem I have with moderation type eating, or just eating in a calorie limit, is I just can't. There is too much around. I ignore it for awhile, but eventually it gnaws away at me. I use to call it my shark eating. I tell myself I shouldn't eat whatever, but I can't stop. I haven't had it be that bad in a long time, but I know that binge eating can be there. blah, really rambling haha Friday, my wife is having her knee replacement surgery at 12:30pm. It's a bit of a drive to that hospital. So I get to deal with that, and traffic. Don't know how everything will work out. Maybe they keep her overnight. At any rate, pretty much all of my focus will be there. I'll see if I can get things in order with me at the same time haha
  17. I am certainly in the move more boat. Hopefully, I can get myself more regular at it. Seeing you talk of meal prep is making me think I really should be doing that kind of stuff again. My wife hates seafood, so I haven't had nearly any of that for so long.
  18. Hopefully, the camping days will get you lots of relaxation
  19. I wondered if maybe they were computer generated, but I did find an article that kinda goes over it. Sounds like they use an outside source. https://bunnystudio.com/blog/how-to-secure-closed-captioning-jobs-netflix-easily/ Did your Dad get paperwork from the doctor explaining what he needs to do from prep? If so, tell him to look at that haha. If only it were that easy.
  20. Happy Anniversary! Have not been to a Chuck E Cheese in a super long time. There is one near us, but I heard it's way different now haha.
