  1. Finally got into class on Saturday, got a solid 40 minutes of practice in, 20 on each hand. Finished up the week by doing another 20 in the backyard today second stab though tonight, had a non-paleo dessert after dinner. I knew it would make me feel like garbage, lo and behold, I now feel like garbage. More exercise tomorrow to get myself back on track
  2. Work doesn't load a lot of the images people post so some things are lost in translation.
  3. did the Start Bodyweight Training routine for make up for no class tonight. 4x3 assisted pistol squats 4x3 decline pike pushups 4x3 forearm bent leg raises 4x3 incline 1 arm pushups 4x3 straight leg inverted rows 40 second wall plank Finished up with Cheech's hip mobility routine. Leftover paleo Sheppard's pie + veggies for dinner. Good end to the day.
  4. OFC, huge accident made our trip into class prohibitively long so no class tonight, super bummed, gonna do something in the backyard in lieu of class I guess.
  5. What kind of timing are we looking at here? Oatmeal right after a morning workout kind of thing? I haven't worked oats in yet but I do make rice concessions, though I'd like to cut that back I think. Thanks for the advice as always Kishi
  6. So true, every time I move I arrive at the new place with less stuff because of a very simple process: "Do I feel like carrying this from a place to a place?" Goodwill gets to know me on a first name basis every time I move... Also, yay Thor and norse mythology's not so subtle influence on the names of the days of the week.
  7. I like seeing your "no regrets", feels very monk-like, very rolling with the punches life throws at you. It is a good mindset to strive for. I aim for that but sometimes fall short.
  8. Sharpen that horn up and you've got a knife fighter.
  9. Videos look good, always cool to see what other people are doing.
  10. Was good yesterday, mega paleo. I've been thinking about working a bit of oats back into my diet though, I've noticed that some of the warriors seem to make concessions on oats and whole milk. Thoughts? Class tonight, hoping to get there early enough to practice stick work.
  11. Thanks Kishi, that's pretty much my speed! Had my first stab (cheat) today, got a naked burrito that had sauce on it that I'm sure had sugar and other non-paleo things in there but SOOOOO tasty. Also I just saw Cheech's hip stretch routine from the last challenge. SO GOOD! All stretches I've seen before but the grouping of them was a brilliant idea. Also the kick section is similar to something I do to work on kick range of motion and balance (holding the final position of a kick)
  12. I have been known to say "Eh" at the end of my sentences and "Sorry" when I didn't actually need to. It has also been claimed that I say oot and aboot, though the source was from Chi-town and he says "rum" instead of "room" and "rough" instead of "roof" so I don't take him as a credible source.
  13. Great goal, I love planks, and pretty much anything else that builds core strength. One suggestion would be that as you work on standard planks also try and fit some side planks in there, don't neglect those obliques, oblique definition is sexy too (on anyone)!
  14. Don't feel bad about not living up to your Texan sterotype Cheech. I don't drink Tim Horton's, I don't own any hockey gear (though I can skate), I do not drink Molson Canadian or other "good" beers. Your day 1 looks good, just keep flyin'
  15. Your typical Canadian Nerd is easily subdued with bacon, also with good coffee.
  16. The meal was also made by me. A classic, breakfast for dinner. Garlic, Onion, red pepper, mushrooms and broccoli cooked in the pan after my bacon eggs added on top after they cooked a bit, delish. If anyone has suggestions on stuff that is equally easy I'd be very receptive, gotta walk before I run after all.
  17. Sorry to say, we don't work on a zerosum aggression system up here in Canada... more like perpetual rage engines, the more rage we have, the more we generate, 7FG is just a really big engine... with long legs prone to kickery... Good luck RP But that's only a small part of the time the other 98% of the time we spend being the most polite, apologetic, good looking humans ever. (also humble) Bendis: We're gonna die. Mal: We're not gonna die. We can't die, Bendis. You know why? Because we are so... very... pretty. We are just too pretty for God to let us die. Huh? Look at that chiseled jaw!
  18. A format I recognize well, s'like I never left. Lookin' good Cheech
  19. Closest thing would be the cargo hold, they did everything fun in there.
  20. as a recompense for my lack of funny pictures and gifs I will give you funny quotes. Mal: I would appreciate it if one person on this boat would not assume I'm an evil, lecherous hump. Zoe: No one's saying that, sir. Wash: Yeah, we're pretty much just giving each other significant glances and laughing incessantly.
  21. So it is lacking the multimedia that I usually put into my challenges but at least the goals are up.
  22. Dammit, you beat me... *redoubles his efforts* Goals look good sir
