  1. Week 3 Check-in: Goal 1: 4/3- I was able to meet my vegetable intake goals on Monday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday. Goal 2: MODIFIED GOAL 5/3- I consumed over 90g of protein on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Goal 3: 2/3- Last week I was able to run on Tuesday and Wednesday. Life goal: This weekend I spent time outside with my daughter. She had a lot of fun playing in the sun and grass I signed up for this 10k in July: http://changeofpace.com/davis-moonlight-race/ I am super excited for it. I just started week 3 of c25k and I have no idea when I will be able to complete the two other runs for this week, but I will continue on. Today on my run I was a little bit creeped out because someone on a bike seemed to be riding around the same places I was running. I felt a little unsafe. It was scary because I run at noon and in a public space. I hope to never run into that person again.
  2. Week 2 Check-in: Goal 1: 3/3- I consumed vegetables 3 times per day on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Goal 2: MODIFIED GOAL 4/3- I modified this goal to consuming 90 grams of protein at least 3 times per week. Goal 3: 2/3- I was able to run twice last week. I didn't on Friday and on the weekend I was pretty much a sloth. Life goal: This weekend I spent a lot of time just connecting with my daughter. We went shopping, we ate good food and snuggled. I think it was great. I think modifying my second goal is for the better. Achieving a 35% protein intake while also trying to stay under a certain amount of calories and not being fully prepared is a huge feat. I think that with better preparation, I could do it, but at this point in time I am juggling way too many things for it to become an achievable goal. Maybe soon! In other news, I have signed up for a 5k for April 30th. (http://www.lungcancerfoundation.org/events/) I figured continuing to work on c25k would help me stay focused on having a great run then. I might also sign up for a 10k in July. I am going to check around and see if there are any events going on that I could sign up for. Rebel on!
  3. Thank you, fiddle-on! Great job for taking initiative and spreading the love. The marathon is a relay that my brother and I will be working on as a team. I don't think I will ever be able to do a marathon solo. I've done a half and that seemed long enough! Do you have a date for your goal? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Bah- I should definitely be interacting here more. I think it would be good for my soul.
  5. Thank you, Jess! You are correct about modification- it's better to reflect now than regret later. [emoji1587]Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. This is happening, y'all. [emoji1376][emoji1376] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Week 1 Check-In I made some changes to my goals. Instead of doing things 5 times per week, my goal is to do it 3 times per week. That applies to Goal 1 and 2. Even with the changes, last week was not the most successful. Goal 1: 1/7 days. Goal 2: 0/7 days (Range was 13-19%) Goal 3: I was able to do 2 days of c25k. Life Goal: This weekend I found it a little difficult to do much outside with my daughter. We did walk around while doing errands, but for the most part we relaxed and stayed indoors due to the crazy rainy weather happening. I am hoping next weekend we are able to get out more.
  8. That looks awesome! Thank you Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Welcome back, AshPS! Looking forward to your awesome achievements this challenge
  10. This looks incredible. I looked to see if it was sold in my area and nothing came up I might check out whole foods this weekend to make sure. 40g of protein in one product sounds pretty amazing!
  11. What is this blue bonnet you speak of?
  12. This is super helpful, thank you Sylvaa :)
  13. I was going to start c25k today but I had a very rough night last night and didn't sleep much. I will get my run in tomorrow and Thursday. I might do the third run on Friday. I have impacted earwax in my ear and it is quite upsetting to me. I hope tomorrow will be a better day.
  14. Hi Sylvaa- that is my little one, indeed. She is pretty cute She does love dancing, which is pretty adorable. Maybe I should give it a shot. Do you have a particular protein powder that you use? I'm still nursing her, so I don't know if I can have most protein powders or not. I do think that is a great idea. Oooh! Putting protein powder in muffins sounds pretty rad. And as a creamer! You guys are geniuses! Thank you, Jess The unicorns are pretty darn awesome. I think I should research what type of protein powders are good for nursing moms. I like all the ideas you guys have given me.
  15. Hi LogicLeigh She's almost 15 months old. She actually does like to "dance" and lately has taken up doing her own version of singing, which is super fun and hilarious. I will probably take her to the park and see what type of things she gets into. The last time we were there she wasn't walking much but was very, very interested in the bark mulch. :)
