  1. Last weeks milage: 10 for a total of 28, leaving me 20 miles off pace at the half way mark. I still think I can do it!! That's going to be three 20 mile weeks. I'll come close, I'm sure I can. I am taking a rowing class, it meets 3 days a week and that is helping me stay on track with the 60 min a day goal. I logged 575 min last week, so I reached my weekly goal of 420 and made up 155 min from last week leaving me only 50 min behind, which I'll make up easily with the rowing at the end of the week. Doing fine with the eating out, I think I'm right on track with that. So I'll have to really get those runs in, school is starting so I'll be up in the mornings to get the run in before it gets hot. I'm pretty convinced about 2 things: 1: I can exercise 60 min a day and I won't lose weight unless (maybe) all 60 min is fairly vigorous, like if I ran for the whole hour. 2: I can exercise a ton and pretty much won't lose weight unless I watch what I eat (DUH) So next challenge will include some sort of dietary component.
  2. Excuse me while I mumble to myself....Last weeks milage was only 7, so now I am about 14 miles behind. Hopefully I can over come that, just have to make myself run no matter what. (my usual excuse is it's too hot...) As for the 60 min thing...the total should be 420 and to the best of my knowledge I logged 215. That doesn't sound quite right, but maybe it is. I'm going to be busy this week catching up!!
  3. Did not run on sunday, so my weeks total milage was 11. That is not exactly coming close to my goal.... I DID go hiking so I am adding 120 min to my exercise minutes for a total of 445, well above goal. Yay! Ate out last night, so I ate out twice last week, meeting my goal. Looks like I have some running to do! Went 2.5 this morning...
  4. Only 40 min yesterday so I am down 25 min for the week. Just 2 more miles today, I am predicting a 2 mile deficit this week. Not too bad... A plus in the eating out bit...
  5. If I don't post regularly I am totally going to loose track. Lets see, Wed I ran 4 miles, and did some water aerobics and stationary biking for a total of 80 min, but only did 40 min of water aerobics on day 4 so that averages out to 60 per day, leaving me only 5 min under goal still Running milage total is NOT good, only at 9 mi including todays run. I don't know if I have the time to run 7 miles this week end, but could come close. Doing fine on the eating out part!
  6. Hope your toe is feeling better! Swimming is a great option if you can't walk much now, great for upper body. I'm trying to get in 20 min or so per day in the pool myself. So far I am hoping to try the 5 lakes trail (near Squaw Valley) and every summer we hike down to Skunk Harbor. I wish I could spend more time hiking!
  7. Day 2 went well too! I got in 65 min, so I'm only 5 behind. Ate dinner at home. Day off from running, but I'm not worried about that. Sora, I thought at first your post said country with very little WIT. He he. I'm surprised there is little wifi in the big cities there, unless you were in the country?
  8. Well, day 1 went fairly well. 50 min of exercise, a 5K and pasta for dinner. I am allowing my self to accumulate the exercise time so that I end up with 420 a week, but I need to make sure I don't fall to far behind. Not planning a run today, so I'm not sure how I'll meet it today....
  9. I live near your shire, hope to be up there hiking a few times in August. Good luck! I'll be following you!
  10. This is my second try at a challenge, the first failed miserably mainly because I was out of town quite a bit during it and I just wasn't committed enough to keep it up. 2 of my kids have started football practice, 5 days a week for another month until the first game, then it drops down to 3 a week. I always feel so lazy when they are working their little butts off for 2 hours a day in the heat of the summer, so I want to suffer along with them. I was pleased to see that the challenge ends on Sept 8th, I am running a 10 mile race that day!! So I HAVE to stick to some kind of training program for the next 6 weeks anyway. Goal 1 Run 100 miles in 6 weeks (thats 16 or so miles a week, I usually run around 12) Goal 2 60 min of exercise per day (at least) Goal 3 Eat out less. I am also lazy about cooking during football season. I will limit my self to NO MORE than 2 meals out per week. Each goal will get a grade at the end. I think I can handle this. I KNOW I can handle this, I just have to DO it. See you all on Monday!
  11. Nice job sysydo! Sounds like you are having a great 1st week.
  12. So far I have stuck to the tortilla challenge and the 100 challenge, but I missed a dog walk and 2 (TWO!!) ten mile days, which is bad bad bad. It has been super hot, 100+, so I really haven't wanted to run. I can still plug away at the stationery bike, so no excuses. I can probably catch up at least one day. How is everyone else doing?
  13. Day 2 done, day 3 almost done. Going well, but I am realizing that so far my diet goal is pretty weak. It will get harder as the challenge progresses....
  14. Daily 100 for this week is standing bicycle crunches...done!
