  1. I really want to do a tough mudder, I must put this on my list of things to do! What are you studying?
  2. Phew, first week over! It was a mental one as I was on school placement all week, and so busy! Getting up: Ive been up by or at 8am every day, but sometimes didn't manage the meditation part, so that's 13.2% done. Eating right: We were building structures out of spaghetti and marshmallows, and i may have had a few of them on Tuesday... 10%. I managed to do the beginners bodyweight workout three times last week! go me! (though my thighs aren't happy, those squats are brutal!) Socialise more: I was working with lots of new people last week, which was good. I'm going to try to go to rock climbing on thursday evening, I'll check in and let you guys know how it went.
  3. You have a really god mix of goals on here, lets go make them happen! I definitely agree about eating too much/ the wrong things when eating out. I'm going to have to come up with some alternative/ novel date ideas for me and my girlfriend, besides restaurants. Anyone got any good ideas?
  4. Thanks, I'm a bit shy so meeting new people can be hard for me. I'm going to try to use this as an opportunity though!
  5. These all look like great goals! It's been ages since my last challenge too, trying to get back into this whole fitness thing. Best of luck to you!
  6. Good goals dude! I don't know how I'm going to manage no sugar in my coffee from now on, but I guess you get used to it?
  7. Hey Dudes, Man, it's been a long time since my last challenge! Kinda fell off the fitness wagon and had to run to catch up. Without further ado, here are my goals. 1. Get up and meditate for five minutes every weekday by at least 8am. I've been meaning to try to learn how to meditate for ages, and since I started university I've not been great at mornings. Double whammy. Grading Each weekday is worth 3.3%, if I accumulate: 90% 4 Wisdom, 1 Constitution. 80% 3 Wisdom 70% 2 Wisdom 2. Cut out junk food and increase the amount of fruits and veggies I eat, aiming for 5 portions a day. I've gotten into the habit of eating way too many sweets and fatty foods. No more! Grading For every week I eat no junk food at all, I get 20%. If I have a cheat day, 10%. If i cheat more than one day, NOTHING! 90% 2 Constitution, 1 Charisma 80% 2 Constitution 70% 1 Constitution 3. Complete the beginners body weight workout 3X per week. For every two weeks this happens, I gain 1 Strength. 4. Go to 2 new clubs/societies and socialize with new people. Trying to get out more and make new friends, but it's hard! For each of these I get 2 points for Charisma. Hoping to find some cool rebels to team up with on the road to awesome!
  8. Lets hope they repair all the flood damage by then! Measuring your progress in a variety of ways can be useful, so if it keeps you motivated then go for it.
  9. Good to have you with us, and Congratulations on the engagement. Cant recommend you have it here in the south west though...
  10. Superior Spiderman, Thor god of Thunder (Godbutcher and Godbomb) and new Guardians of the Galaxy are all great!
  11. Just started reading book one of the Farseer Trilogy (Assassin's Apprentice) by Robin Hobb, and am pretty well addicted. One of my favorite fantasy series of all time is the Chronicles of Thomas Covenant, by Steven Donaldson. Fair warning, they are seriously dark.
  12. By getting much height, I guess you mean that you haven't developed much height when leaping vertically. But that's ok, because with this one it's more like a kind of rolling motion at the top. You use your hands to balance, and the momentum of your legs when you kick them up will swing you over the obstacle. Not sure how to progress up to it though, I guess maybe if you perch your bum on the log and swing your legs over, to get used to doing it backwards? As for the lazy vault, its mostly down to the legs. (Same with most of them). So make sure to keep working on your squats, box jumps and step ups, etc. Best of luck!
