  1. Day 5! Ashtanga yoga today. Love that shit. Walked in the morning. Love that shit too! Today was a good day!
  2. How long was it before you ate or drank any liquid before your workout? What sorts of workouts were you doing when it happened? More specifically, which muscles were you working when it happened? If your trunk muscles were contracted that may explain why something came up. It may help to save the drinking for after your workout if you can manage it. Perhaps chug a big glass of water about half an hour to an hour before your workout, and then chug another glass 10-15min afterwards? Good job not giving up though!!
  3. Day 4! Morning walk. Thank god. I don't feel complete without it anymore! Didn't go to yoga as planned, but I did go snowboarding! And oh my GOD what a difference a week and a half of WALKING has made in my body. I didn't feel tired at all after ~5 hours of boarding. Usually the walk up to the lifts from the car kills me and I'm struggling to catch my breath but.. nope! Not this time! Bwahahaha!! Ate a looot of fries, but I'm still under my calorie intake so it's not.. thaaaat.. bad? I should still make better decisions when eating but I'm happy with what I did today. Thank you babo for your support! <3
  4. http://fitness.bizcalcs.com/Calculator.asp?Calc=Body-Fat-Navy Seems to be a good estimate of your body fat %! A caliper would still be best but this is a nice way to estimate Good luck!!
  5. A friend of mine who frequents the gym, who I also confided in about my reluctance to go to the gym, told me recently that, "Yes, they do judge you. But not in the way that you think. They look at you and remember themselves in that state, when they were scared, nervous, weak.. so suck it up and just go" ... He doesn't really have a way with words, but he got his point across at least, haha
  6. SO awesome that you stuck with it and didn't give up! And mental health is just as important as physical health Don't ever be ashamed to give yourself a physical break in order to keep your mental state at a normal place! Keep it up <3 I looove reading your story!
  7. Would it be possible for you to turn everything off and study before bed? That could be your "no screens!" time. Keep it up! Don't lose steam!!
  8. Someday you'll hear them chant your name.. "Crimson Fist! Crimson Fist! Crimson Fist!! WOOOOO!" And you'll be all like.. "Heh, all in a day's work!" Good luck on your journey!
  9. WOOHOO! Good luck! Keep it up! I find that making the extra effort to take a second and put the thing where it belongs really helps! Instead of letting things build up to the point where it's like "damn, I have to clean my room now!", it's like "okay, I'mma hang my jacket up" and then you don't have to worry about it anymore. Hopefully that eliminates the need to take time to actually have to clean!
  10. Thank you PaulG! It's a little nerve wracking to measure myself to be honest.. I'm used to the numbers on the scale but somehow the tape measure freaks me out.
  11. First Yoga class at a new studio.. super success. I feel fan-fucking-tastic

yay! A good yoga class is a find.

  12. Didn't go to yoga yesterday, I instead took the time to hang out with an old friend, get a little bit of herb in and some well deserved R&R. I only sort of regret it now because I have the tendency to munch (I fought it off last night pretty well I think!).. and for some reason my mom didn't go to work so I can't do my usual fasted cardio! Oh well. I'll do some jumping jacks instead, just to get my heart rate up while I'm still on an empty stomach. Going to yoga tonight for sure, as well as tomorrow and Friday to make up for it. If I'm gonna take the time to relax I better be willing to work my butt off! And I AM!
  13. Good lord, I'm at 31% bf.. 45lbs of fat to 101lb lean mass. I don't know if that's true.. :x At least I hope it's not! I may attempt the Curves method after the current challenge ends.. however it feels like a lot of extra work. Still just trying to figure out this whole calories thing.
  14. Actually Waanie, that's a good point. I'm on a new BCP and it's not really working out all that great for me.. REALLY bad mood swings. I wouldn't be surprised if the side effect of "weight gain" and the whole strange hormones thing is making me retain water. I won't be taking another progress photo until next Monday so I'll report back! Thank you for the encouragement! I won't give up In other, better news.. I now have a membership to a yoga studio! I'm the type of person who needs a static goal/deadline (ie "class is at 6:15, better not be late!" vs doing it at home "ah, I'll do it after dinner.. ah, I'll do it after I digest.. ah, I'll do it tomorrow..") so this is super exciting! I may just reach my goal in time! Wooohoooo!!
  15. Okay. First bump in the road on the first day! My weight hasn't changed much since last week (0.2lb difference.. what the hell?!). I figure I might be under eating.. posted a thread about BMR/TDEE and hoping to get some answers. I figured I'd ask here, as well.. Basically, my BMR is about 1468. My TDEE is 2019. I apparently should be eating 1618. Since I've been maintaining a 1300 intake and have done so since starting a regular workout. I have also not been eating back workout calories. Am I doin it wrong? I'd like to do this challenge right so any answers would be totally appreciated!
  16. So I'm 5'2", 146.4lb as of this morning, 23 years old. I currently have my calories set to 1300 on MFP. I have not been eating back exercise calories. My exercise consists of daily fasted cardio and yoga/snowboarding/very short HIIT. I am also doing intermittent fasting. http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/ puts me to 1615 calories a day.. Is that what I'm supposed to be eating to lose weight? I've read so many different topics about this but it's just so confusing for some reason! I'm worried because my weight seems to have plateaued since I started working out more regularly but kept my 1300 calorie limit. So.. am I under eating? Is that why my weight hasn't changed? Thanks in advance!
  17. Good on you for not giving up despite the setbacks. Keep it up, good luck on your journey!
