  1. I'd love to hang out in one thread. I am new here and trying to figure everything out. I guess I didn't see the point in forming a second group if we were all going to use the same thread. I like how engaged everyone in this thread is so yeah... I'd like to stay
  2. So Squeege, are you going to create a Newbie Rangers #2 thread? Hopefully we can all chat it up, drum up interest and fill it also.
  3. Well Doc Brian took the 10th spot I was going to create. I will join Newbie Rangers the Second! So do the "seconds" start their own thread??
  4. Oops, I just saw that you are "full". I'd still like to join if you can squeeze me in the 10th spot. I didn't want to go adding rows to the google doc all willy nilly.
  5. Awesome, once I am not on a computer that blocks google docs, I will sign up officially.
  6. I'm in! I am also a newb (to Rangers and NF) and in my first 6WC. In an nutshell my 6WC goals are: Lose 12 lbs, do 1200+ pushups, do squats/ deadlifts 2x a week, and cut out some unhealthy eating habits. Also, I joined the Zombie Killin' Posse. I assume it isn't taboo to join more than one accountabilibuddy group... I can use all the accountability I can get!
  7. Fist time deadlifter here. I will be starting light and working on form as well. Good luck!
  8. I'm in! I am also a newb and in my first 6WC. And I like killing zombies, so here I am. In an nutshell my 6WC goals are: Lose 12 lbs, do 1200+ pushups, do squats/ deadlifts 2x a week, and cut out some unhealthy eating habits.
  9. I tried this a few months ago. For me it advanced too quickly. I repeated weeks over and over. I got to where I could do about 60 good form pushups in a row before throwing in the towel. Now I just do 4x15 when I do pushups. Sent using Tapatalk 2
  10. Welcome from a fellow newbie. I wish you the best of luck on accomplishing your goals.
  11. I do my best to sleep 10pm-6am every night. Boring right? I feel so much better when I get plenty of sleep, especially since I never drink caffeine. Sent using Tapatalk 2

  13. I have been wearing Ironman sunglasses with the yellow ear tips for awhile now. I have been through 3-4 pairs because I misplace them (or lose them in the ocean, oops). You can get them from Wal-Mart for $20. I think they are called Triumph? Not sure, but they are always easy to find when I lose my current pair.
  14. Thanks for the tip. I was thinking more along the lines of milestones, but it looks like there is a forum for that as well (The Woot Room). And yes, gaining all that weight back is a big fear of mine.
  15. I am an hour south of Nashville and make it up there on a reguar basis...
  16. Hey all, I am looking forward to learning alot from these forums and focusing on health and fitness. Here is a little about me... Background: I am a physicist at an aerospace company. Fitness History: My weight loss journey started in 2008. I was 6'5" 340 lbs. Over the course of 1 year I lost 100 lbs. I was pretty happy with 240 lbs, but my ultimate weight goal is 225 lbs. Since then my weight has fluctuated, but trended upward. I am currently sitting at 275 lbs. I've completed countless 5ks, a few 10ks, 5 half marathons, 1 full marathon, and 2 triathlons. Fitness Goals: Lose 50 lbs. Do 100 pushups in a single set. Run a 5k in under 24 minutes. Challenges: I travel... alot. And I LOVE food... and a good microbrew. Look for me at the next 6 week challenge...just need to figure out when it starts... *edit 5/12/2013* I just want to add that I have been a big guy my entire life. My goal of 225 lbs is uncharted territory for me since I have weighed more than that since the 7th grade...
