Tattoos in a conservative work place
strangeling06 replied to MariahSnow's topic in Rebel Army Base Camp
I work in administration for a hospital. I have a tattoo on my ankle. Obviously that can be easily covered with pants. I've worn skirts and no one has said anything. I don't think people generally look that low. I have heard of people who have visible tattoos using tattoo concealer.- 111 replies

That's interesting. I've often wondered why that happens. Thanks for sharing

To: vdalton3591@stu.southwestgatec Show details I make these as the occassional treat. Makes about 7 cookies. Ingredients · 8oz of almond butter · ⅓ cup raw honey · 1 egg, whisked · 2 teaspoon vanilla extract · ½ teaspoon cinnamon · ½ teaspoon baking soda · ½ teaspoon baking powder · pinch of salt · ½-1 cup of chopped up dark chocolate or chips Instructions 1. Preheat oven to 350 F 2. Mix all ingredients in a large bowl 3. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper 4. Use a spoon to scoop out the cookie mix and pour onto the parchment paper. Be sure to space out the mix so it doesn’t turn in to one giant cookie (like mine did). 5. Bake for 15-18 minutes

I haven't been to too many concerts. Big name bands don't come around my area too often and I usually can't afford to go where they are. That being said, I've only seen: Fuel Framing Hanley

What women love about men.

I know, without a doubt, that I want kids. I 100% respect those of you who have made the decision not to. There are plenty of people out there who didn't want kids and had them anyway and out of those, some who don't have anything to do with their kids because they didn't want them. -
Break ups really stink

I'm in a very similar boat. I started out strong and have gone down hill. You are very much welcome to message me anytime you need to talk and I will do everything I can to help get you back on track.

Annoying comments you hear all the time
strangeling06 replied to goodbyeharrison's topic in Rebel Army Base Camp
I'm 5'0... It's not so much the comments that get me. It's going to parties and people propping up on me or better yet, setting their beer cans on my head. -
May I join you all? I've been a Doctor Who fan for a little while now. I've watched Sherlock and started Merlin about 2 weeks ago. My reason for being here is that I'm trying to lose weight and get healthier due to the fact that a large number of health problems run in my family. I'm not good at setting goals, but I would like to drop 30lbs though I'm not sure of a reasonable timeframe. I have an All or Nothing mindset which seems to be setting me up for lots of failure in working on my diet. I feel like I should sit down over the next few days and reevaluate my approach and really lay out a plan for myself. For exercise, I attend a 30min kickboxing class once a week, on Monday and Wednesday I walk a mile, and I attend a strength training class twice per week. I'm not currently in the 6 week challenge, but plan to in the future. I'm mostly looking for some solid support that I seem to be lacking.

This is also one of my goals. In school, I was in band where I didn't have a choice but to have good posture. However, since being out of band for 10+ years my posture has slacked. I started out trying to sit and stand straighter, but it also causes me pain, particularly in my upper and mid back. I recall hearing at one time to do exercises that target your back and strengthen those muscles, so that is what I have been working on. I'm definitely not the expert but perhaps this will help and know that you're not alone.

A lot of us here have/still are dealing with depression. I may not be able to offer the greatest advice, but I'm here if you ever just need someone to talk to. -

Little bit nervous
strangeling06 replied to lany's topic in Rebel Introductions and the Respawn Point
Hi! I have been here a few weeks and I too am nervous. I have a huge fear of failure. You as well as Sgracej are welcome to message me if you ever need to talk to someone. I'm not vegetarian, but I'll definitely do my best to help you with anything.
