  1. C25K week three tried to kill me. And two days mostly off made lifting this morning rather difficult. I kinda feel like I'm dying right now.

      I didn't fit in a good work out until this morning. COMFY. I love new shoes :)

  3. Despite deficits and lots of burned calories, my scale didn't budge this week. DISGRUNTLED. Date night tonight and all I want to do is eat is french fries. And chocolate. AND TEQUILA SHOTS :(

      I do measure, and I generally rely more on the measuring tape vs. the scale. Just feeling a little frustrated because I don't think I've found my groove yet. I do lift heavy, run, HIIT. Thanks y'all :)

      PS, I opted for some fries and a bit of chocolate; I still stayed under my calorie goals. No tequila because I had to work this morning :(

  8. This. Also remember that resistance training causes water retention, and muscle weighs more than fat. Stop looking at a scale, and maybe do full body measurements. In the past few months I've lost only 20lbs, but almost just as many inches. And when you change up your diet, you should not rely on results in just a week; give it a full month at minimum! Example, last week on the day before my normal weights and measures day, I "felt" thinner so I stepped on the scale. FIVE POUNDS HEAVIER. I nearly had a heart attack. But I had lifted heavy that day, and whatta ya know, by the next morning

      I should be able to find this at a running store, yes? Or maybe even Dick's? This injury happened on Christmas Eve 2012; it's SHOCKING how horrible it still looks. Granted, most days it feels fine despite the swelling, but C25K has been pushing it. I don't want to quit running :)

      I've found it at Dick's; I imagine a running store would have it as well. I think the package says K-Tape; not sure. Make sure to read the package and check that it is suitable for ankle injuries - they have a couple different shapes of tape for various injuries.

  10. Packing is going miserably. It's really just this end of the school year schedule. That, and boyfriend has an injured foot/ankle, and it's making for moving anything very difficult. Back squats. I should have set my goal higher! I'm already at 130. I toyed with 135 last night for a set, but brought it back down to 130. C25K is right on track. I did week 2, day 2 this morning. Ouch, my left ankle (frankenankle... severe sprain from last December that just doesn't seem to want to fully go away)
  11. Exactly! I'm fine with the sports memorabilia, the action figures, etc. Just not horror posters, signed or not!
  12. The boyfriend and I recently inherited his grandmother's house, and we're moving in just a few weeks (one of my challenge goals! Staying on track/schedule with packing/moving/unpacking!) THIS subject has been pretty hot between the two of us. He would like to get some movie posters framed for the living room wall (UGH! Halloween? Friday the 13th? REALLY??) as well as display his obnoxious bobble head collection. I'm fine with displaying these things, just not in a family room. I like proper grown up decor. Not that I'm against nerd decor... just... I want a nice proper living room. Maybe this
  13. I use MFP too, and often play with my calorie goals. What was hard for me, was even setting my limit at 1500 and 1700, I found myself at the end of the day, not hungry, and waaaay under calories. I was still working out 6 days a week (strength and cardio) and I'm ALWAYS tired, but I typically blame that on being a busy single working mom; doing laundry until 1AM, and getting up at 5:30 to get the masses on the school bus is not uncommon. I noticed that if I lost one pound one week, the next week, despite no changes in diet or exercise, I'd gain a lb. Next week lose it again, following gain
  14. So, things are going along nicely! I'm on week 2 of C25K, and on track. Squats are up to 125lbs and we're early in the challenge. I'm thinking I may reach my goal early! Packing and moving. Ehhh, THAT could be going better, but everything is still on schedule.
