  1. Hey and welcome to the Challenge! I love your goals, I'm trying to get some yoga practise in daily(ish) too. Are you going to divide your points up per goal, or how will you do it?
  2. That is such an excellent idea, and it will help me immensely! I'll edit my goal to include my version of a "mountain".. thanks!
  3. Welcome back from the afterlife! Best of luck to you, and definitely post pics of the costume pieces!
  4. Ja, I've been talking about starting for long enough now.. I need to start!
  5. Thanks guys! On my way to check yours out now
  6. Very SMART goals! Handy having such a useful boyfriend hey, I need to find someone to MacGyver a pull-up bar for me too. Good luck for the weeks!

  8. Definitely post pics of your DIY gym equipment, that's awesome! Good luck with your other goals too!
  9. Wow 12lbs is a lot in 6 weeks! It's possible 'though, and I wish you all the best!
  10. Excited to be on board at last! Best of luck to everyone! Make every day count!! Like Mother Theresa said: "Be faithful in small things because it is in them that your strength lies."
  11. Excellent goals, you CAN KILL THIS CHALLENGE!
  12. Just kidding, it's quite simple really. Without any further ado: Goal #1 : Stay young, keep your wheels in motion.. {STR +2} {STA +2} {CHA +1} To earn these attributes I need to exercise everyday, for 30 minutes minimum. Some ideas: Body-weight exercises 3 times a week Running (C25k, interval training) Walk the dogs Yoga as many times as possible [EDIT - I am trying to cement the habit of daily exercise, but to make this goal more realistic I'll aim for a weekly accumulated total of 3.5 hours i.e. if I miss a day I can make up for it during the week] GRADING A - 100% (exercised all 21 hours during the challenge) B - 75% (sweated it out for 15+ hours in total) C - 50% (pumped endorphins for 10+ hours in total) etc --¤-- Goal #2 : Shelve the sugar, sweetie! {CON +3} Sugar is my Achilles heel. I need to beat my addiction! I'm aiming for complete abstinence, which will be difficult, but I CAN do it. I'll be cutting back on grains as well, but my focus is on the sweet white stuff. [EDIT - Wiggle room of 1 reasonably-sized treat a week, just in case. Will be amped if I don't need this, tho!] GRADING A - 100% (not a morsel passed my lips, bar the six treats) B - 75% (had a few moments of madness) C - 50% (half-hearted attempt to restrict myself) D - 25% (a couple of days a week sugar-free) E - fail (had a sugar festival) --¤-- Goal #3 : Water, water, everywhere, and not a drop to drink left undrunk (sorry Mr Coleridge) {CON +2} My water consumption sucks, but I drink tea like a fish (more than 10 cups on a good day) so I think it's reasonable to aim for 4 glasses of water a day. GRADING A - 100% (glugged all 168/168 glasses) B - 75% (glugged 126/168 glasses or more) C - 50% (glugged 84/168 glasses or more) D - 25% (glugged 42/168 glasses or more) E - fail (pretended I was a cactus) --¤-- Goal #4 : All work and no play makes abs a dull girl. {CHA +3} {WIS +2} I'm a country girl, but spend waaaay too much time inside, at my desk. It's time to change that. To win this reward I need to spend ONE HOUR having fun every day! This will be easy because I have a lot of free time (which I waste on the computer). In other words, if I fail to get 100% for this task, the sole reason will be my laziness. I can use my imagination to come up with ways to have fun, using the resources around me. (this ties in with my first goal) [EDIT - in order to cut my internet surfing, I am only allowed to use my laptop in the lounge. Thus, with things going on around me, I will not lose track of time and blow hours away] GRADING A - 100% (had fun on all 42/42 days) B - 75% (had fun on 31/42 days or more) C - 50% (had fun on 21/42 days or more) etc --¤-- Starting measurements: Waist (narrowest part) 28,0 in Tummy (below navel) 31,5 in Hips (widest part) 36,5 in Thighs (widest part) 22,5 in All comments and suggestions are very muchly appreciated.

  15. How many of you are using a menstrual cup?I'm thinking of buying the Mooncup, was just interested to hear other women's experiences.. Love the thought of no longer needing to buy tampons and pads!
  16. Hey Bekah congrats on a superb challenge! I'm looking forward to joining the next one alongside of you :D By the way, your fear list is an awesome idea! I've used it for myself, except listing my bad habits. Here's hoping I manage to kick several during these next weeks.
  17. Wow those are fantastic results, well done!! Good luck with the next challenge
  18. Right now I'm thankful for: 1. This thread, for reminding me to take stock of what I have and be grateful 2. The planning that I did just now, in preparation for my 1st 6 Week Challenge - stoked! 3. The warm cozy bed I'm lying in
  19. English and passable Afrikaans, little bit of Norwegian, used to speak Finnish fluently, some French & German.
  20. Wooo! Fun reading about everyone's successes so far

  21. You're AMAZING! Keep going Ems, kick that sweet tooth in the.. teeth? Haha. You got this.
  22. That's where I'm starting too. I don't keep a battle log - have been keeping track of what I eat in a notebook (not very consistent!). But I guess I should put some of that stuff in my Challenge thread, when I start it. Nooo haha that's an exaggeration! But a lovely one thank you
  23. Wow, you are really organised! I love the idea of a reward too! I need to use this week to plan all my goals and get my strategies battle-ready. Yes, I think the June challenge info will go up in the next week.. Are you going to join a guild? Some info on that if you need - here.
