  1. I survived day 2 of the Whole30. Still finding myself lacking energy and I'm not sure if that stems from not sleeping well, not eating enough, or both perhaps? I'm going to go check out the book and see what I should be expecting. Also had a hard time getting out to exercise. It's been so oppressively hot that it's been difficult to run, even in the morning. I still don't tolerate the heat well and it's hard to me to run in the heat. Hopefully things cool down soon so I can get out there and run again.
  2. I successfully managed to finally make it through day 1 of my Whole30 program yesterday. Had eggs, salads, apples, and I and grabbed a few Whole30 approved Larabars for a snack if needed. I also went for a run but had to cut it short because it was way too hot (I don't tolerate the heat well at all), but I did go to the nice air conditioned gym for lifting. Right now I'm struggling with my energy levels. I'm trying to combat my lack of energy with a black & green tea mix (I drink mine straight up with ice because I don't like tea with added crap in it) and I'm hopin

  4. I've had a couple of rough days trying to start the Whole30 because a couple of family issues came up. Had to go meet with my dad last night because I was having some concerns about family members who are trying to keep the drama surrounding my brother's wedding going. Basically we're trying to come up with a strategy on how to get everyone together on a united front for my brother. My brother is super sensitive and it's hard to get everybody to support his decision to get married because they don't seem to understand his fiancee.   13. Hey everyone! I decided to create a new thread for my alter ego (real name is Amanda btw) to log mostly workouts so I can keep track of my progress easier. Feedback is always welcome. First a bit of background. I picked my alter ego's first name from a random name generator. The last name, Ichiban (literally 'number 1' in Japanese) was inspired by one of my favorite F1 drivers, Jenson Button, who uses that word frequently.   15. I'm starting to notice a pattern with myself... So much has happened in the past couple of years that I've come to realize that I need to make some seriously major changes in my life because I find that I keep falling into the same rut over... and over... and over again.
